Went to go out in the zed for the first time in weeks and on start up she was only running on 5 cylinders ,so started pulling the plugs to the coil packs one at a time, the first one on the left side didn't make a difference when unplugged ,so I swopped out the coil pack with the one next to it plugged it all back in and now works perfect,anyone had trouble like this before? could it be that the coil pack is near the end of its life . I also checked the plug for that green looking crap inside but its nice and clean.

I want to remove driver's side valve cover to replace gasket but all hoses are hard to the touch. I need all new driver's side hoses. I've contacted Nissan Dealerships, etc. but no hoses to be had. One local dealership said they could order the secondary air hose but nothing else was available. I need help as want to help my mechanic get the hoses. Kindly, Cydne

Jimmer has worked his magic and the car is running sweet as a nut ! Actually I think it's quieter than it's ever been ! Jimmer himself said he's very happy with it, commenting that it's a very strong and sound engine so I'm happy too. I think it's a wonderful testament for these cars that after standing for so long it's all positive. The rot has all been cut out and new bodywork sorted. This included the front radiator / air conditioning crossmember/mount that had rusted to dust almost. Removing the a/c proved difficult as it was in a fragile condition so it was replaced. First owner aquired the car on June 11th 2005 where it was imported from Japan, and second owner got the car on April 11th 2008. The car was then exported to Denmark on July 10th 2012. Sorry for the post, my clutch started to give yesterday at only standard power slipping as soon as it came onto boost so I'm looking to replace with one that will happily cope with 400bhp. I know Exedy's are fine for medium powered NA engines, but when it comes to skylines etc. I remember they were frowned upon in favour of more exclusive brands... so no BS, who has a clutch which is still perfectly streetable and comfortable performing up to 400bhp? Bugger! Just got the 300 out to make a start on cleaning the engine and get the tracking checked. As I started her up I noticed that she was running a little lumpy. Drove her down to the garage for the tracking and could smell she was running rich and there was an occasional back fire. Got the car home and removed the coil conectors and there was a drop in revs on all but one connector (middle off side). Called Jim (at PowerZ) and he’s said check the injector connectors (look fine), remove spark plugs and check PTU2. Haven’t checked the last two items yet but is there anything else you clever fellows can recommend? One the plus side the tracking was found t…

Hi guys My car is at Jimmer's having been sorted mechanically and rust-wise too. It's looking a little forlorn but now it's paint time ! I'm going for a full respray - white again but something brighter and more modern I think. In discussion with Jimmer and his paint guy I'm sure I need all four side window trims and all six roof trims. Are there any ancillary parts for these or is that all I need for door and roof ? ....came across this on Facebook earlier. Dude wanted to shave the 'NISSAN' logo off of his calipers so that the wheel wouldn't hit it. Nothing wrong with filing down just the logo although not something I'd do. Looks like he's gone waaayyyy too far though. :lol: Taken off quite a bit too much material, especially over the top of those fluid gallaries. Rears are worse - structural integrity weakened significantly.
