Was watching the budget cheesefest movie Joshua Tree from 1993, starring Dolph Lundgren and during the movie they are using a couple of unconvincing replica cars. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0106309/ Closer look at the F40 replica and it seems to have 300ZX headlights on it 😄

Hi all, just trying to resolve a blower problem i have. I have no aircon as i removed it. The interior blower was working fine when i gave it across to the workshop. One yr on and now its not working. The control modual is working as i can hear it. Just no fan. I found there was a 15 amp fuse removed in the footwell (not by me). I just replaced that and it blew on activation. Just wondering where the relays are. Has anyone experianced this? Cheers

I received my little Z1 order this week...... I bought a brand new PTU and harness - I had to instal my "spare" one back in Feb, so thought I'd best get a replacement.... Also thought it's time to get another oil pressure sender, the current one has started to behave intermittently.... I then ordered a new harness and gaiter to go with it. But I didn't stop there - I bought a new internal O-ring and gasket for the oil filter tree.... I thought, why not replace the lot at the next oil change? I also thought it was time to reinstate the Nissan badge, but they only had the replica - albeit attached the the Fairlady Z logo.... Shopping on Z1's…

Story. Had a few issues with the bodywork on the sills(jimmer spotted them the other yr) so had them done. Bodyshop nightmare. He moved shop etc and was really slow.......one yr later.......went in for MOT and failed on various things. They did the jobs and eventually i have the zed outside😀 The question im asking before i start ripping stuff out lol is my interior de mister is not working now. It was before. When activating the buttons on the bezzel i can here the activation of things but just no fan. I did have a fusebox translation in my car but the garage has decided to misplace it 😡. Thanks Johnnnno

We took the Zed on a little road trip to Shropshire at the weekend, after attending a couple of car shows, I thought it only fair that Julia and I visit the Shrewsbury Flower show! Despite the hot weather, the Zed performed faultlessly as usual - albeit we had a pigeon bounce of the front bumper whilst thundering along a nice empty M40... Luckily there was no damage - the pigeon disintegrated, leaving only a few blood spots and a shadow imprint... Which fortunately wiped away with some detailing spray 😉

Afternoon All, After a few aborted attempts to get myself a Z in the UK, I have turned my attention to the Motherland! Have found a potential candidate, and wanted to throw it open for some comments (seeing as I have asked Jiimer twice about potential buys, and not followed through on either!) I'd be happy to hear comments and any advice about the whole Japan import process - am looking to use either Algys Autos out of Bristol (bargain basement) or Torque GT (premium, but have not had a price yet). The car is 1999 TT Auto with 63k KMs and full history. Price to the uk will be about 18k all in (before a mechanic get's his hands on it and tells me I've …

I have an engine with turbos that came out of the blue car quite a while ago, free to collect if anyone wants it. It developed a knock which is why it was replaced. It has been sat outside, and the cover got ripped, so there is some rust developed. However, if you are wanting to get parts refurbed or rebuilt while running existing engine, would be ideal. Is sat at a friends place so will get some pics next time i am there. Location is PE16 Chatteris, Cambs.

Hello I own a 300ZX T Bar Turbo 1992 model which I imported fom Japan in 1999. Even since then it has been in dry storage and I haven't used it at all due to work commitments. it has 55K kilometres on the clock. It is in very good condition. I would like to know what the realistic of the car would be and what is the best way to sell - auction or listing? Many thanks

UK spec "spotted" on Pistonheads - nice write-up. What also caught my eye were the rather favourable comments that followed on Z32s. https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&f=23&t=2080391 and the for sale advert. https://www.pistonheads.com/buy/listing/16723286

In the next few weeks I'll be removing the rear subframe to overhaul it (mediablast and paint or powdercoat ) and all suspention/steering components attached to it. Will be doing front at later date. Is there a particular go to brand or a one stop shop. I've seen a few kits but unsure of what's a good compromise between hardness and comfort. I'm familiar with powerflex but seen a few other brands that seem to be good value. Any links would be helpful. Im New to the club so getting my head around the forum and theb search facility slowly. Many thanks.

After a return to the paint shop last week - and as the weather was kind yesterday - I set about removing any remaining dust, over-spray or residue..... I gave it a good wash to remove any surface grime, then went over the paint-work and glass with a clay bar (separate one for the glass, of course). After a second wash and towel dry, I was pleased to see the paint-work didn't need much in the way of further correction. So I just gave it a light polish with Autoglym SRP using the dual action polisher, then buffed it to a shine by hand. I then finished with a coat of my favourite sealant - Chemical Guys Jet Seal. The paint should be nicely protected from the eleme…

My speedo in my 1993 has been playing up, just the Speedo part, everything else is fine. I’ve bought a replacement set of clocks that I thought were the same (Series 1) but the back is different. I just need to replace the Speedo part, can I remove just that section and drop it in to the existing clocks? First photo are my clocks, the backing is blue but the new ones I bought are green. im trying to attend the AGM on Sunday and need to get it sorted ASAP!

Last Saturday, Julia, The Zed and I took a little trip over to the Isle of Wight for a few days.... The weather wasn't too bad - it only rained as we were leaving..... We got given a good spot on the ferry both ways and our hotel was empty apart from us, so my Zed also had the whole car park to itself 😄 The Zed attracted quite a bit of attention too - when we arrived at Lymington Ferry Port a young lad of about 10, out with his dad, was really taken with the car. He knew exactly what is was and asked if he could take some pictures. Then two guys in the car behind us in the queue got out to admire the Zed. And then when we were parked in Seaview on Monday, a gro…

Recently started doing my 120k and all seals around the car same with gaskets etc etc and just wondering if it IS possible to get the rear main seal aswell as the rod knock sensor wire while the engine is in the car also if anyone has ever changed header gaskets aswell it’s a full project car so a lot of rust LOL let’s hope I can fight through it and save the car also asking if it’s worth rewiring the PTU to the new style connectors instead of having those extra connector things to the main harness

Hi, bit of a long story bit ill try keep it short. 2 years ago I bought my 300 TT. It was in pretty rough shape. I took it to my garage and tried starting it for the first time (parked for 10 years previous). After ripping out the old Clifford alarm and adding new fuel, plugs, oil and battery it fired right up, smooth as butter! Drove nice and boosted no problem. I then went and started the restoration. Car was stripped down to 90% bare shell to fix rust on the floor, roof, sills, and a bit in the engine bay. Full inside out respray was done, and sealed underneath. Engine removed and reinstalled when painting was finished. I put the car back together and was ve…
