hi all. Just wondered if my pcvs could been cleaned as a bit of white smoke on start up and tic over or is it easier to just buy new..

My 91 won't go into reverse unless I use the switch behind the gear lever. Thought I read on this forum sometime ago about a switch somewhere that may need adjusting to make it go into reverse using the gear lever buttons? Cheers

Ok so we had a zed in Saturday for a simple brake pad change, however prior to traveling to us he had a flat battery and had a jump start from a mates van. He noticed on the way to us the abs light was on, the interior light was not working and the radio was acting up as in lighting up when the door was open but not switching on and the power light going out when the door was closed? also the central locking was not working. So after a quick brake pad change we turned our attention to the fuses in the drivers foot well, it was quickly found that the fuse supplying the radio, central locking and interior light was blown replacing this cured the radio, locking and inte…

any ideas on how to open the hatch , its just come back from zed world but the lever won't pop it open and it won't open on the key either ??? Feels like the cable is not connected ...

I just want to check before i make an expensive mistake. Ive alread got the down pipes and de cat pipes.....do i need to buy an X pipe or H or is that the same as my de cats? As i have a choice either to buy the back boxes on there own or with a X pipe Help!! Thanks Dan

I meant advice, it was typed on my phone I currently have a lip type spoiler on my zedbut I thought it looked naked so I ordered a 99 spec one from car mad However because of the lip spoiler on my car being a fibreglass skin I cannot get it to sit right. I tried taking it to a body shop but all they could suggest was filling the lip which is hollow full of mastic so that if they bolted the spoiler to it it wouldn't cause the lip to sink under the weight of the legs on the 99 spec. So it appears that I can't get it fitted unless filling the lip fill of mastic is the right way to go. Can somebody give me some advice on where exactly the 99spec legs …

just installed this system and i think i'm missing something now i have Maf on one side and another on other side .. with one connected up the car will no run untill the other side is blocked off i assume its becuse theres un mtetered air getting in to the engine by that side is there such thing as a Dummy Maf where it gets connected up to the other so it works ?

I've been looking at quoted weights for the Z32, does anyone know if the numbers quoted were with a full tank of fuel and a driver? Reason I ask is after my corner weighting mine apparently weighs 1353 which seems low, quoted for a Slicktop TT is 1500 ish. But allowing 75kg for a standard driver (im more like 92kg) and it only had 1/3 tank of juice so another 35kg for the rest of the "full tank"would give us 1390. I have no aircon, how much does that weigh? :)

Hi all, Does anyone know where to buy and what exhaust is best for sound and power? Ive got the 3" super splits down pipes and greg dupree 3" de cat pipes im now after the rest of the system. I like the look of the Billy boat, Labree systems with the quad type exhausts but cant seem to find a UK seller for any 3" systems for the 300zx in the UK Can anyone help? Dont really want to go the custom made route as i will have to sort transport for the Zed to be carted around.

Have been having a few problems getting my boost to set correctly. So does anyone here have one in your z that you can show a diagram of how you have it plumbed in please. I have it plumbed in as folloes on mine Pressure sensor dirict into balance bar Solonoid has two sides, COM & NO. COM is linked via a t-peice from both Wastgate actuators NO is then linked via t-peice direct to both dump valves. But still even with the avcr set to off(so shouldnt boost above .85bar it will boost to death when it shouldnt go above the .85bar. Have i plumbed anything incorrectly?

does anyone know the checklist of causes for safety boost?

this car is gonna be the bain of my life. !!!! bought her as an auto tt and coudn't find anything wrong. but now i've replaced all running gear with manual na plus all the easy mods...air filter,pulleys ,exhaust etc. deleted loads and now i want to get onto the next job she gives me another! anyway i've found a 35mm in diameter hose near egr ,behind plenum that needs replacing. can this hose be done without plenum pull?

Well my zed is in the body shop and not back for another 2 weeks! :( I have a nice new set of rota gtr's to fit plus my tein coilovers and i just want it back and get all my new shinny bits fitted asap!

Has anybody got or knows where i can get the manual for this ooober rare piece if kit.

Well it just gets better n better does my car. Get one thing fixed and watch something else brake. So i noticed what started as a little crack on my windscreen and over the last week its grown. So i call my insurance company who arrange for autoglass to come out and replace it. Only when he gets here he tells me that he has the wrong glass. They got a blue window with no top blue visor tint. And then proceeds to look at the window surround and tells me it looks a little rusty in the middle and could take the glass out, but unless i go to a bodyshop and have it repaired there he wouldnt refit it. So i tell him i do all my own bodywork, and i will do the repair…

Right then, after what feels like a long absence, im back in a zed! Its a Manual NA, Registered on a T reg! Its not a T reg 1999 car, but a cock up with the DVLA means its wearing a T reg, which looks cool in my opinion. Its a S4, so has the nicer dark Seats, and the rear seats and armrest have been replaced with black leather. Some polished bling under the bonnet (balance bar etc) 19" wheels, just referbed and done no miles with new tyres when i picked it up. Not to sure on the rear lights, the are not my thing, but kind of suit it to be honest. Some nice touches such as a carbon looking stereo surround. Engine is nice and smooth and the clutch a…

Hi gang, I have my eyes on a new set of wheels for the zed. I currently have 19s. 8.5" fronts, 10" rears. There is absolutely no problem with scraping or rubbing. Infact the fronts could do with 20mm spacers. The new wheels are also 19s. Only this time, 9.5" fronts and 11" rears. Should i have any issues with this? Some details: Bolt pattern 5x114.3 Hub bore 73.1 Offset front +22, rear +25. If it makes much difference, i have fully adjustable camber arms and tension rods. Not got coilovers yet though, but lowered about 30mm if i remember rightly. Thanks

N/A Diff Conversion does it need N/A Speed Sensor ? going to do a Conversion soon and have all the items needed does it need the N/A Speed sensor as thinking about it the sensor is on the gearbox and it wouldnt know what RPM/rotation the wheels will be outputing Cheers Mark

I've just had my suspension adjusted, the car cornerweighted and tracked today to try and make it handle like it should. I've only done about 3 miles in it since it was done but wow what a difference.. Anyway the paperwork with my car now has stated an all up weight of 1353KG which seems low, could it be right?. That would have been without a driver and perhaps 1/3 tank of fuel. Its a standard (ish) TT manual slicktop. A/C has been removed + carbon canister and the weight in the boot lid (lol) No cruise, airbag, manual heating controls and only 1 electric seat. Any thoughts?
