AS above... Pick the new girl up today  A nice 3 hour drive home.... 1/2 a tank.. not too bad. Alas there are a few little probs.:sad: but not too much of an issue to fix. Drivers door is quiet badly dented (tesco car park ) and might need replacing. the paint work on the bumpers is :censored::censored: but looking to replace those anyway. need a power amplifier for the drivers window (think thats what the little black box is. ) wheels need a refurb and the interior again is :censored: so im on the look out for a good leather interior. its been stood for a year so needs a service and the brakes looking at, they work but not as well as i rememb…

Well, after 8-9 years of Z ownership and being on my 3rd Z, I finally for the first time made the decision of handing my Z over to Zedworld. It was treated with a manual conversion and a cambelt change plus other niggly bits. From now on, if there's anything I want to get done to my Z, Zedworld will be the first place I shall be contacting. I am very happy with the work done and the customer service and communication throughout was spot on. I too would say just like many others, if you want work done to your Z, (especially the newbies as its them that get stung the most and believe me I know about that), get it over to Zedworld. Big Big thankyou to Lynda and e…

Ok so I've not seen a write up for this so I thought I'd do one to show just how easy it is, I think this is one of the most overlooked things I can make a real difference when replaced, This will show how to do polybushes and solid bushes. Tools needed Drill Heavy hammer Screw driver Pry bar Blow torch 48mm socket Ok so here you can see the original bush there's an inner and outer collar, The arrow and circle shows the inner bush, this is the one you need to remove when replacing with poly bushes Firstly remove the strips of rubber from each side Ok so I don't burn the old bush out I drill them, get your drill and go rou…

Well my zed is under refurbishment and currently she's been stripped down to a bare shell. I don't own or have access to a garage so she's also been left to the elements outdoors for the last few months. I also thought that I made more than enough protection on her by covering her up with various fly sheets and blankets over key areas like the engine bay and roof as the targa rubbers leak a fair bit now. Today as the sun was out I decided to uncover her to let her breath only to discover that the engine has been penetrated by water and the top intakes will also flooded as the plenum was off. So if the top plenum gets flooded is it a basically an en…

Hello everyone, I have a set of adjustable front camber arms which I would like to install (preferably myself). I have a bunch of sockets and spanners, some lithium grease for once teh camber arms are on, but have had trouble loosening any of teh bolts after taking teh wheel off... do I need a longer breaker bar or something perhaps? They just won't budge, and although I have a broken rib at teh moment which is making it tricky, I can still put a lot of force on it!... would people suggest using an impact wrench? Best, William.

I have been lucky enough to get my hands on some Illuminated sills. Unfortunately they're not in the greatest of conditions, So I was hoping to try and clean them up a bit. If anybody has done this before, any help would be greatly appreciated. With them been aluminium i'm not expecting them to be as easy as the exhaust. They are quite scuffed So I figured I'm gunna have to be gentle with some fine wet n dry to bring the scratches out as best as I can. It also appears they've got some sort of lacquer on them. So does that mean I'll have to rub that all off, then after I've got all the scratches out and polished them I'll have to re lacquer them? As for the …

Ok, today I've sent my '93 Auto TT ECU away to Jeff at Zedworld to have a Zedworld chip fitted :D My car is pretty much stock, apart from an Apexi intake (single), Japspeed decats (inc Turbo elbows) and a Mongoose exhaust, given that the Zed has 97,000 miles on it and is Twenty years old - what kind of BHP am I looking at, after the ECU has been chipped? The car runs well, boosts well and appears to have been well looked after by it's previous owners, it's never let me down. On average (if there is such a measurement) - how much power (BHP), is lost over the years and how can it be reclaimed? I know that this like asking "how long is a piece of string?…

I have completely disconnected the loom in the engine bay and now need to get at it from the inside where it passes through the bulkhead. I have removed the glovebox and hoped to remove what I believe to be the pollen filter housing/heater fan to access. I have removed many 10mm bolts but nothings budging. Is there a cheat to get to the loom or do I have to strip down dash????:confused1:

So i dont know whats in my car and im not going to start pulling the injectors out but. whats the standerd size and what would be a sensible upgrade to run with a large fmic straight through exhaust and rebuilt tubs with 360 degree things with stagerd oil seals or somthing. Want to upgrade next year fuel pressure aswell but dont know what to get then, ill have it mapped ,. if that makes any sence? with ref to injectos i here numbers like 370 550 600 jecs?

Well as most will know by now I have been rebuilding my Z this year..... I finished the welding about a month ago now and have been working to get the car running after a TT conversion.... A few days ago I primed the engine and new oil cooler ready for a test firing..... Today I got most of the bits finished..... all the injector plugs, coil plugs replaced with new ones, final intake pipes fitted, fuel lines connected...... I still have 3 small vacuum pipes to block off and the viscous fan to fit when it arrives and run vacuum pipes to the recirc valves.... But I turned the engine over just to see what would happen and she fired up almost straight away.…

All, I've been running a Greddy Profec E-01 for about 6 or 7 years now, but noticed over the last 18 months or so that often the boost doesn't come on as strong as usual. When I look at the graphing display that shows the boost over the last 20-odd seconds (which is a very useful feature!) it's kind of scrambled in that the line will be bouncing up and down from top to bottom in a kind of scribble pattern, instead of showing a curved build-up and then straight line. This isn't overboost or the limiter kicking in as I know what that would look like, and I'm confident in the settings [which were tweaked by Noel recently]. What'll happen is I'll boost, say in 2nd g…
