As a follower of this club with very special intrest as i have done a lot of work with nissan in the past, i had a special observation role on your dyno day, all the peak reading are absolutly 100s, for the auto's torque figures are only valid at 5000 rpm and above, exelent turnout , exelent figures even for those who think they did'nt think they done so well, all 210+ BHP GOOD. If you don't believe retest and post results, auto's were weak.

Got my Z back from having a new radiator, water pump, cam belts, iridium plugs, accessory belts and it overheated again. The radiator bottom connector had cracked off and so the water was gushing out. I assumed this was why it was overheating - the water drained out after 30 mins of driving and began to boil. I drove 2 hours back from Wigan to Leeds with no probs but as I stopped at home the needle went into the red. Hiteq tested the head gasket and compression and said it was OK. They did 50 miles in it with no probs. No water missing this time just hot. Fans are all working correctly. Before the radiator burst the car overheated three times for no apparent reaso…

OK, I'm going to get my MOT today and driving there in the heavy rain. Suddenly, the engine starts cutting in and out and I feel like I'm riding a kangaroo. One time, it cut out at low speed and the engine actually stalled completely. Any ideas what this could be? It seems to have vanished completely now! I've had it happen maybe once before and thats it but it got really bad today (I had to pull over at one point). On the way home, I was driving pretty slowly and the car was fine. But, I thought I'd try nailing it for a second and it triggered it off again. I think this could be coincidence though as I was going pretty slow on the way there because of the rain. …

my battery has not seemed to have enough power to turn the engine over. even after charging over night, it would not hold the charge and went down to 10v. I went and got a new battery today and since then my old battery has been turning over the engine first time without any strain. I just wanted to know if anyone has had this experience before and do you think my old battery is just gonna give up without notice. Cheers Vijay

I'll 'fess up right away, I'm on a quick infiltration mission from my normal home on the Supra forum. Just had to ask this, I keep seeing two Z's, one red, one yellow, near Aldershot or on the A331. I reckon the yellow 'un wanted to play but there was way too much traffic. Anyone here? Graham (Silver MkIV)

I have just spoken with Forge Motor Sports http://www.forgemotorsport.co.uk/motorsport/products/intercooler.html who make Intercoolers amongst other things. Look at the one for the Sunny FM INT -GT12, it's huge. The guy there reckons he could make a large intercooler for the 300zx for about £360 inc vat!! He would need a drawing or a car to copy one from. He can also make the pipes etc. Who is interested and who could help with the drawing or has an intercooler upgrade we could copy? If he has a car he can copy he can have it fully specified with all the right connectors etc, and for suitability on the 300, AND, if we get 5 people it will be ab…

I am thinking of buying a 300zx '91+ TT manual, although I have been told to steer clear of manuals as the gearboxes are weak, is this true? Also, I am worried that spares for an import may be difficult to find, and expensive if available. Is there anything specific that I should look out for?
