Afternoon all After 12 years off the road (tax disc ran out on 31/07/2013!) I took my zed to our local MOT tester this morning. Pleased to report that she passed with no advisories! I was present for the test and had a chance to inspect the car when she was on the ramps. All looks tidy and is a testament to my weather tight garage! Renewed the tax and took her off SORN as soon as I got home. Next job is a proper service and possibly a 120K service and more thorough health check. Big thanks to AndrewG for running a Conzult check for me (I couldn't find my cable anywhere!) Hope to see you all at a meet soon! CheerZ Steve

Hi everyone so i have a issue that isn’t entirely an issue, so i bought 2 HKS ssqv bovs, that are genuine hks part. And i took my old recirc valves off, capped the recirculating ports, and installed my new hks bovs, i was really excited to hear the high pitched hks sound, but to my surprise they kinda sound the same but only a tad bit louder. Its only a flutter and not a high pitched sound. I did all the research i can but i cant seem to find out why they don't make the sound, people have had them break, and leak, and cause a surge, some say that their car wouldn’t idle with them, but mine acts just fine, it actually seems to run better. My only guess is not enough boost…

I bought some new interior tailored mats for my Zed - from the RAC shop, at the bargain price of £50 for the set. I'd previously bought some of their Prestige mats for Julia's Evoque, and was very impressed with the quality and depth of the pile. So I thought I'd get a set for the Zed; and even though they are only £55 a set, they just happened to have a 10% discount promotion. So I went for the black mats with grey and blue pre-stitch trim. Needless to say, I'm very pleased with them and highly recommend these to anyone! Oh, and I'll be selling my old ones on Ebay in the next few days.......😉

I recently checked my oil and water and found that the radiator filler neck was clogged with orange gunk! My car has been off the road for 17 years but it has always had antifreeze in it and not just water, which i changed about 3 moths ago. I've now done 400 miles and checked the radiator a month ago and it was clean. Could this be head gasket? There is no creamy gunk under the oil cap or dipstick, the car doesn't smoke or over heat. Because it's orange could it just be rust out of the water ways that has eventually worked it's way out after being stood for so long? The day before it was 30 plus degrees and I took the car out for some exuberant driving so wondered if the…

Me and my daughter do a roadtrip each year about this time of year. This year we decided to do the Republic of Ireland and extend our usual 4 days to 5. This is the first time I've had to see just what the ZX is capable of. Sarah who being an ex karter can pedal very competently has a 986 Boxter which is known for it's sweet handling so is a good benchmark. The good news is both cars performed faultlesly over the 1.3k plus miles in very hot temperatures and I was very impressed with the way mine performed and Sarah commented on how good it looked when she was following me, especially when her car is shod with newish PS4'S while mine has 12 year old Continentals. Thing…

Hi Guys, I found and bought my last Z on this very forum and am now after best part of 20 years considering dipping my toe Z waters again. Currently torn between another 300tt or a more modern 370 and I guess that decision will be made by what decent 300tt's are left out there and up for sale. Doesn't seem much comes up in the Forum classifieds anymore, which would be my preferred choice for sourcing a 300. I've seen a few on Fleabay and am currently watching the below. Anyone on here know the car? https://ebay.us/m/LHVEFm Robin

Good evening all, As you know, we have been exhibiting at the NEC classic motor show every year since 2014 (covid aside) - and once again, we have been fortunate to get offered a club stand this year. The show takes place Friday November 7th to Sunday November 9th inclusive - so your car would have to be on the stand from Thursday 6th until the show closes around 5pm Sunday evening. Details of the show are here Classic Motor Show | The UK's Premier Classic Motor Event Our stand is in hall 3 - approx. 9.5 x 7m, so large enough for three cars. OneDrive So, I'm looking for volunteers - three cars please - plus your good selves to man the stand for the duration.... This is …

Just a quick question. My front badge is looking a little tired. Just looked on Z centre and noticed the differnt colours. Was there a reason for the red and gold instead of the normal one? Just wondering?

Hi everyone, just a quick ask. As part of my work I have to go away quite regularly. On average it is normally only for about 1 month at a time. With my previous cars there haven't been any particular issues with leaving them for the duration, but aware these cars are a fair bit older and I guess can have more issues. Is there anything you think would be worth buying or doing with the car so that it hopefully turns over fine when I get back? As I said probably around a month at a time, anything pushing 3 months or more I'll leave it with my parents to take out for a spin every so often but I can't keep dropping it on their driveway especially as the 1 month moves can be…

After far too many years I am getting round to the plenum pull and want to make sure everything is done "while you're down there" and that I have not missed anything off the parts list Started off with the usual oil leak from the rockers so I have rocker cover gaskets in the parts mountain I also have plenum and throttle body gaskets Another job is deletes, I have EGR delete kit and will properly bypass the throttle body coolant bypass, which are currently on a temporary (plenum on) bypass. Are there any other deletes to do? Also whilst the plenum is off replacing the knock sensor and cable and one of the air con pipes as some "expert" snapped off one of the connectors B…

Hey guys, I'm just off of Jct28 on the M1 between Nottingham and Sheffield. I know Jimmers is the go to guy here but he's quite far from me (ill travel to him if needs be) but I was hoping there may be some one closer that regularly works on these? Thanks!

With the better weather lately I've been able to get out and about in the car and I've a slight problem with the indicators. The telltale lights on the dash are difficult for me to see. I'm 6'2" with long body so they are partially obscured by the steering wheel and also the glass panels reflect on that part of the binicle as well. Add to this the the fact the flasher unit click is quite quiet, I've found I've left them on a bit too long at times So, is it relatively easy to change the warning light bulbs to LEDs and possible to change the flasher unit to a louder one. If so, where is it located.

Taken from Totalcar.hu Original Link A serious accident occurred in Budapest: there may have been an overtaking incident, the 300ZX skidded, and the driver was unable to avoid the collision The driver was seriously injured, fortunately no one was sitting on the right side Accident -Info published Péter Antal's photos A serious, but fortunately non-fatal, accident occurred on Üllői út last night. The rear-wheel drive Nissan 300ZX crashed like we usually see in Japanese photos from the 90s. It's no coincidence that the twin-turbo Fairlady 300ZX was so powerful and difficult to drive for its time that the Japanese Ministry of Transport ordered Nissan to reduce the car's p…
