Can anybody help? Engine cuts out when changing from 2>3 (auto) at full throttle or at @5000rpm in 3rd it dies for about 4secs and then goes again. Has any body got any ideas?

Anyone who has had the full energy suspension kit. Is there bushes for the bottom mounting of the front shocks? Paul

I came across a posting that mentioned that the standard Nissan Wheels are different for the left and right hand sides of the car. Lo and behold I have a look and see that the f!"£$%g w"£$Jer who fixed my wifes latest escapade with the back end of the car has given me two wheels the same. So, does it really make any differnce to the stability

Does anyone out there have or know about anyone other than a Nissan garage that has the kit to do consult tests. i live near Oxford. Alternatively are the Techtom units any good or just an expensive toy I'm annoyed with myself, I heard that one was sold second hand for £100 when my local Nissan delaership went bust and I b!"££$%y missed it.

I know that I have a bad seal (I have a ton of oil leaking into my inercooler) - but I don't get any boost. Does that mean that I have a bad turbo, or does that mean I have to just replace the seal? - hrmf

Im sure i read somewhere on this forum of this being done. Can anyone tell me what parts are required for such a conversion? Any roughly how much one should pay for such a conversion? I may have access to a manual gearbox soon, and was just wondering............ CheerZ

As I was just driving back to work, each time my Z was struck by a strong side wind the revs dropped, do you think strong side winds could affect a stock air box, in the same way you cant breathe properly in a strong head wind? Or was my PTU just picking a good time to flake out Trev

Right now I have your attention. I hav ethe sizes for the Greedy Items, one of the web pages I visited today gave them away:- 200mm x 259mm x 65mm. I guess all we need is a picture showing IN and OUT for the gases, and we should be able to get FORGE to make some up. Anyone got photos??? Leigh.

If you are responding to a question someone has asked (Z technical or otherwise), it is only fair to make it clear how you came up with the knowledge which led to your answer. Two 'caveats' which SHOULD be used far more than they are : 1) In my opinion ... 2) From what I have heard ... And the one which is best and is often implied but less often true : 3) From my own experience ... Over the years there have been a few old wives tales about these cars and I've seen them getting passed on to new owners. I'm not saying what's prompted this post…

Hi all, I pressed the driver side window button on the Z the other day and I heard a snap!!!! Now my window won't go down unless I push it but the motor works and pushes the window up again, anybody got any ideas how to fix and rough guestimates of how much to fix? Anybody know what this part actually does, it's listed in the engine mechanical section of the cd manual it sits behind the rear gearbox mount (maunal only). I wondered whether this could be faulty causing car to jerk on and off the gas ( feels like the engine/gearbox are loosely connected, or maybe it could be the shifter bushing under the console??? Anybody have any ideas, cheerzzzz....

Just some info I thought you guys might be interested in. Noticed on my service history booklet on Tuesday that my car has been re-registered at some point. Reg differs from the at new reg. I also wanted to try and confirm that the car hasn't been clocked. I have some old HPI reports in the history which don't raise alarm but I know how slippery the traders can be at recreating documentation or removing receipts etc. from a cars history. I got in touch with the previous owner but spoke to the guys Dad who to be honest was a miserable fucking Manc!!! Nothing new there then! Goddamit Just decided to check air filter elements on '90 Z32 and managed to disassemble airbox and remove airflow meter. Removed filter elements and decided it would be a good idea to run the car with just the airflow meter box reattached. Seemed ok, albeit a little rough at tickover, so thought i'd replace the old filters until i obtain a new set (or cone). Fitted filters and reassembled filterbox/airflow meter etc. Now the thing nearly stalls and will only rev to 2500rpm exactly, at which point the engine cuts (almost like a limiter). Ahhhhh. Any ideas as to what i've done wrong/broken...!!!!
