dpes anyone have a picture of the back of the engine, prerferably quite liarge, and it sneeds to show the bottom passenger side of the engine clearly, with turbno attached. even if i never fix this fucking water leak, i want to see the little piece of crap hose that caused the demise of my car.

I just noticed that the gaps between the top of the tyres and the wheelarches are different on the rear. The passanger side is about 2.5" and the drivers side is about 1". Would this point to sagging springs? As far as I know they are still all originals. Cheers Vijay

My injector and coil pack connectors are in a pretty terrible state. Anyone got any opinion on whether its better to use the repair hareness from Courtessy or to get SE to change the entire harness when the engine is out in a couple of weeks. I'm feeling a little twichy about tjhe rapir option because I saw an earlier post about SE chargeing a fortune to do this repair

Fellow Zr's Alloy q time... If I was considering some new 3 piece alloys 18x9J F and 18x10J R (i.e. of the AZEV type the Big MAC1 has)... what offset F&R would be best for a non flared arch (strosek) 92 Z32??? Also anyone fitted the bolt on type spacers with the stock alloys to give a little extra width??? I have a Veilside front spoiler which hides the stock alloys... boo hoo 8:-( Any major handling disadvantages to fitting of the bolt on type spacers of front and rear and anybody know what widths are available??? It absolutely pisses coolant (it is coolant) out of the bottom. It's running down the bell housing, and onto the floor, so it's from just left of centre at the back of the engine But I'll be f*cked if I can see where it's coming from, let alone get my hand to it. I guess when it expired, it blew some hose that's impossible to see. Well f*ck it. I'm through spending money on this heap of shit. Does anyone want to offer me something for it? For breaking or fix, you'll have to get it taken away on a flatbed. 1989 Jap import, 45k miles, cambelt has been done, uprated autobox cooler fitted, underdrive pulley set, painted engine covers, steel braided fu…

My Z (2+2 TT man) since i have owned it (bought 2 months ago) makes a loud buzzing whirring whining noise which appears to come from the front of the engine (yes I have checked the belts). It starts (fades in) about 20sec after you start the engine from cool and then stops (fades out) after another several minutes. It is quite loud and sounds a bit like if the fan was hitting some plastic (although this is not the cause). Any ideas, it is driving me mad. could it be a bearing? waterpump? I am worried it could be something in the timing belt area. could it be the variable valse timing thingy? slikzx

I have not found any place where I can check UK chasis number but, looking at the specs of the dirfferent cars I have a slight mungral. My paint colour AG2 says 1990, My mats, which I presume are the original ones, say 300ZX, but the interior light and ingition lights up when I open the door, 1991 feature. My Z is UK and the date of registration, is 21/3/91. Any Ideas? Stuart

It dawned on me this week that some of us are real part timers. I know that there are alot of old timers so to speak of! But certain peeps only show up once in a lunar cycle! LOL So who's met who then? I mailed Craig about meeting the Great Nico a while back when things were going a bit pear shaped! Craig then told me that he only met Nick recently for the first time, which I now know to be at Billing last year...ROFL Which is ironic as the two of them started all this! ROFL So who are the night stalkers among us? The shadey crew, SteveE has reared his mug this evening after a long spell away! LOL Bob comes on here when you least expect him...s…

Do they ever read right??? I know this to be a red herring on Soups aswell! LOL Goes like this... "Oh I've got 40psi at 100mph...no...no...hang on a minute...I've got 60psi now...no...no...hang on a sec..." FFS!!! Now I know where these big Jap car manufacturers get off on having a laugh...gauges!!! ROFLMFAO

As you all though, around the xmas period there was a lot of cold weather which called for lots of Anti freeze. So I decided to mate sure the Z was not thursty in any department when I get the beady eye from the wife as she's standing in the upstair window pointing to her rover. Hence, make sure mine is ok. So, following the usual pattern of doing nothing for the wife, got the rovers lid up and started to check everything. When I finally got round to the radiator water, I thought, "I know - I'll take the bottom hose off, as you do, drain the water and fill up as normal with the new blue juice". However, upon inspecting the hoses, they didn't look to healthy and …

I know there was a few posts a little while back about some of you guys getting some new finger licking 18" and 19" alloys. I am nearing the time when I need to consider now tyres and frankly, the stock alloys on mine have just about had it. They're rimmed, they leak and really dont look all the healthy. Although if I get possessed by JeffTT's spirit tomorrow, I might attack them with a toothbrush. (Sad I know but the things we do for our Z's) Anyway, as I was saying. As the stocks are deceiving 16", I heard it on the grapevine that with 18" you tend to loose a lot of stability due to the regidity of the thin rubber and therefore overall handling is compromised.…

You're all a bunch of bloody ..... oops sorry wrong letter ! Anyway, I seem to spend a considerable amount of time searching around the various excellent technical resources on the Internet, but I can never remember where I last saw what I needed and the articles are arranged differently on each site. Therefore, I felt there was an opportunity to help out all the frustrated searchers. So having a copy of MS FrontPage (which I now hate) I have created a directory of all the tech documents that I have found so far (this afternoon). Take a look :- http://www.300zx.org.uk Comments, constructive criticism, additional links or suggestions are all welcome. …

I came across a posting that mentioned that the standard Nissan Wheels are different for the left and right hand sides of the car. Lo and behold I have a look and see that the f!"£$%g w"£$Jer who fixed my wifes latest escapade with the back end of the car has given me two wheels the same. So, does it really make any differnce to the stability

Alternatively are the Techtom units any good or just an expensive toy I'm annoyed with myself, I heard that one was sold second hand for £100 when my local Nissan delaership went bust and I b!"££$%y missed it.
