AJAY, Ref your note "Tim, completely off-topic, but why do you want to do PADI? PADI is the American version of BSAC and unless it's changed in the last 2 months, doesn't always include the First Aid training, which is why a lot of BSAC places won't accept PADI people unless they complete this training first. Where as BSAC is accepted anywhere as it is generally considered to be better than PADI and yes even some of the American groups say this." This is a long running argument between PADI and BSAC, Again its like Sups And Z guys hehehe. The way i see BSAC different to PADI is the continuos training. Ive been diving now for about 5 years. I am Advanced op…

Appologies for those that dont give a shit but i know a few people on this list are big fans of f1 so here we go. With the new season comin up we are planning some sort of race by race sweepstake for a small number of people (approx 20) entry will be a quid a race and and will hopefully set up some sorta pay pal scheme or whatever. This way it keeps things competitive and fun and most people are in the running for most of the year. Basic format will be points awarded for every correct grid placing on Qualifiying and race dayz, from say top 6 on qualify 1 - 12 on the day. We may also include some sorta constructors thing for the season also. Any inte…

Virtually all of the oil has dumped itselft into my coolant system over the last couple of days. Is there anything other than head gasket failure that could have done this? The car runs fine with the coolant temperature constant at just below the mid point. I checked the oil that was left in the sump and it's clean whilest my coolant looks like a chocolate milkshake. Considently the day before I noticed the problem when I did my monthly fluid check I had done a compression test. 5 cylinders gave 152 psi whilst number 2 gave 143 psi. Could it be anything worse than a blown head gasket? She has done 158000 miles so if it's going to cost a fortune to fix then it's time …

I am fitting two new 52mm gauges into one of Smithy's nice new duel pods, and being the lazy bugger I am I was wondering if it was easier to fit a boost gauge using completly new pipework to the engine bay or whether anyone had piggy backed off the existing hose going to the standard Nissan gauge. Would this mean both would still work or would I lose accuracy on the new gauge. Anyone done this? Tim

Just a quick question for those others that have it installed... Mine now gives me a wonderful alert as soon as I go over 100mph by the LED having a conniption fit and glowing nuclear green until I go below 100mph again. Does everyone's do this?
