I have read lots on the subject and i relise that the damage that it can cause is considerable therefore while I like a bit of daft power I would like to do it safely. The car has been modded with HKS intake and exhaust aswell as hks pfcom, the boost controller is also HKS 3. The aftermarket boost guage is reading about 1.2bar before I get signs of detonation. Would like to squeeze a bit more out, what sort of mods can I look at to release more boost without encountering detonation. I was thinking cheap first of all: colder plugs petrol addatives Now if I understand things properly the next step is 555 injectors. Could I ask your advice on the cheaper …

I'll take a pic of this tonight but; On the left side of the intake manifold, there are two metal vacuum gallerys, which go to the AIV solenoid and EGR solenoid. Connected to the other end of these galleries are two rubber hoses, one goes to the underside of the throttlebody, and the other goes to the plastic intake pipe (that goes from airbox to turbo).. Can anyone tell me which is which? Does the intake pipe go to the AIV or to the EGR solenoid? Same Q for the one off the throttle body.. Thanks Az

OK people. Having seen the massive rise in the past month of the membership I thought it was time we did another location list. Best way to describe where you are is probably to use your nearest motorway junction - if you aren't close to the motorway then maybe nearest big town or city? I'll kick it off with me being J28 M6. Over to you guyZ CheerZ, Andy ------------------

If you know of someone who has a 300ZX with a couple of faults or dents etc, I need one to dismantle. I've sold 3/4 of the parts from my Z, and wouldn't mind doing it all over again. I've got £2500 to £3200 to spend on one, depending on how bad it is. Cheerz AndyZ (geewhizz@onetel.net.uk or 01634 221783)

How did all these new people get to hear about it. Come on, spill the beans ! It could be time to resurect "Who's got graphical gas" ! I can't remember who did that now ....

300zx TT import '91 Now when I got the car one of the lasting impressions was how crap the brakes were. As i was intending to up rate them I wasn't overly concerned. However the car began making a sqweeking noise and the brakes got worse. Now the car is no longer making the noise and the brakes are now as I would expect - not great but I can stop without having to open the door and use the sole of my feet. I have no intention of fidling with my new found braking ability - but wondered if there was a reason for the chane around and if it is a sign of a fault which I can fix. Mark
