While I was putting petrol into my car (for the 3rd time this week ) I noticed some rust on the neck of the petrol tank. Its about 1/2 inch in from the opening where you put your cap on. I pressed lightly against the rust and it went through. The hole is only a couple of millimetres wide. What can I do? Is there a chance that the tank inside is rusty? HELP!!! Stuart.

I got a Nissan JAP Speck 300ZX Twin Turbo I live near Newport and a lot of boy racers try (try!) to race me. What they don’t understand is that I am running at over 380bhp. The other night there was a Seat 1.8T about 1 foot of the rear end of my car, This was a big mistake I put my foot flat to the floor in first gear, now my car has had some over fuelling problems due to all the mod’s. So when I took off the car over fuelled, then two huge fireballs shot out of the twin 3.5” pipes and all over the front end of his car, lets just say he did not come that close again.

Bah! Just drove to work this morning and the car was idling very rough. It seems like it's not firing on all cylinders (The engine is wobbling like mad). I spotted a small fuel leak next to that fuel damper thingy - I ordered a new one of those yesterday along with a fuel regulator. Could that have corroded some of the connectors? I tried wiggling some connectors round under the bonnet but it hasn't helped. What do I do from here? How do I isolate what's causing this? What a crap start to the day!

Over the Xmas holidays I have been talking to some on my university mates on Messenger. On late night one said he was bored so I gave Idris the link to the Johnny meet, just before I logged off. I saw him today he commented on the vid, basically saying your nutters when Atol one over heard. And the conversation of what car you got came up. Me: Nissan 300ZX Atol: A what? Idris: Nissan 300, its fuckin' wicked man, it got these dial every where. Atol: What engines in it? Me: 3 liter Twin Turbo. Atol: 3 liter? (I nod) Is it injection? Me: Its Twin Turbo man. Atol: Yeah I know but is it injection? Me: Yes Atol: What B.H.P is it. Me: 300. Atol: (very…

Had my car tuned today as a fault has been picked up with rich mixture - not really car technical but something should be 0.1 or 0.3 and it is 4.1 (something like that!) Anyway the bloke rekons it might be the 'lambert sensor(s)'.... Gonna have it rechecked to find out for sure on Friday but any ideas on how much one is and where is cheapest place (he thinks it could be 130 +)? Cheers guys Robb

My suspicion that the new Supra is sporting 3 spokes reminded me of a few styling errors I made in my youthful days as a Cortina Mk 3 owner. Can anyone better these : Completely solid wheel trims which I painted body colour. A huge 'Cortina' sticker on the back window (9" high letters) - so they were in no doubt what they were overtaking perhaps ? I don't know. Fluffy dice that were colour coded to my fluffy seat covers (imitation tiger skin). Just close your eyes and imagine it - pure class with Sabrina belting out of my 4 x 5 watt Goodmans (with auto reverse). Never pulled in that car. Odd.

OK, the car is running (and it scared the sh*t outta me in Asda carpark earlier doing a nice slide.. ).. but.. When pulling away (or revving the engine under the bonnet), as the throttle opens off closed, the revs dip right down, then race up to catch up to the throttle position.. This makes pulling away..... interesting! I've checked the TPS (now set at 0.45v closed), but it could be the idle control valve not set properly? When I pulled the yellow plug off, there was no change in RPM, shouldn't it drop a little? At idle, I can hear a hissing, but it could be coming from the AIV's, would that be right? (The hissing goes away if I pinch the vacuum lin…
