My suspicion that the new Supra is sporting 3 spokes reminded me of a few styling errors I made in my youthful days as a Cortina Mk 3 owner. Can anyone better these : Completely solid wheel trims which I painted body colour. A huge 'Cortina' sticker on the back window (9" high letters) - so they were in no doubt what they were overtaking perhaps ? I don't know. Fluffy dice that were colour coded to my fluffy seat covers (imitation tiger skin). Just close your eyes and imagine it - pure class with Sabrina belting out of my 4 x 5 watt Goodmans (with auto reverse). Never pulled in that car. Odd.

OK, the car is running (and it scared the sh*t outta me in Asda carpark earlier doing a nice slide.. ).. but.. When pulling away (or revving the engine under the bonnet), as the throttle opens off closed, the revs dip right down, then race up to catch up to the throttle position.. This makes pulling away..... interesting! I've checked the TPS (now set at 0.45v closed), but it could be the idle control valve not set properly? When I pulled the yellow plug off, there was no change in RPM, shouldn't it drop a little? At idle, I can hear a hissing, but it could be coming from the AIV's, would that be right? (The hissing goes away if I pinch the vacuum lin…

Hi, I need the dust cover from the back of the gearbox of a Z32 TT. Its the bit which the prop shaft slides into if you're not sure what Im talking about Apparently, they just slide out if you pull hard enough. Has anyone got an old broken box lying in their back garden which they can take a firm grip too??? Many thanks in advance... Matt ------------------ Matt '92 S13 200sx

I have read lots on the subject and i relise that the damage that it can cause is considerable therefore while I like a bit of daft power I would like to do it safely. The car has been modded with HKS intake and exhaust aswell as hks pfcom, the boost controller is also HKS 3. The aftermarket boost guage is reading about 1.2bar before I get signs of detonation. Would like to squeeze a bit more out, what sort of mods can I look at to release more boost without encountering detonation. I was thinking cheap first of all: colder plugs petrol addatives Now if I understand things properly the next step is 555 injectors. Could I ask your advice on the cheaper …

I'll take a pic of this tonight but; On the left side of the intake manifold, there are two metal vacuum gallerys, which go to the AIV solenoid and EGR solenoid. Connected to the other end of these galleries are two rubber hoses, one goes to the underside of the throttlebody, and the other goes to the plastic intake pipe (that goes from airbox to turbo).. Can anyone tell me which is which? Does the intake pipe go to the AIV or to the EGR solenoid? Same Q for the one off the throttle body.. Thanks Az

OK people. Having seen the massive rise in the past month of the membership I thought it was time we did another location list. Best way to describe where you are is probably to use your nearest motorway junction - if you aren't close to the motorway then maybe nearest big town or city? I'll kick it off with me being J28 M6.
