I cannot get the 12mm screws out that hold the headlight in. When you get past the air filter section they are the ones that are nearest to the Radiator, i.e. furthest away from the front of the car. I have tried to get all sorts of spanners etc in that tight space but cannot get enough turn to start to unwind the nuts. Is there some kind of special tool or something that you guys (Jeff TT) know of to get in there? I have even bought a palm ratchet but still cannot get my hand in there to turn it. Grant

Hiya all, It seems to me that me 'Z' lacks power. It's running bob on though no roughness or noises. I've done an ECU diag got code 55 so all OK there. Just recently had a new Straight through exhaust on from cat back. How do you tell if your cats are ok I thought maybe they're shagged restricting the gases maybe. Also if I'm in safety boost would it display anything on the ECU diag?? Anybody know where I can take it to be looked at bearing in mind I live in Lancashire near Lancaster... cheerzzz

I broke it ! I was trying to get at the stereo, so I took out the 2 screws at the top vents, pulled the bar off above the stereo, to find there was only 1 screw on the left, the one on the right didnt even have the metal fixing behind it. So anyway I took the one screw out. Pulled the top, it came away about 3cm. It wouldnt come out any further. So I went to put it back and it wouldnt. The left hand side slipped nicely back into place but the right is stuck out, wont even go back using brute force . Any ideas folks? Oh and how are you supposed to pull it out? I think its something to do with the vents cos i can push it back in above the stereo but the top sect…

Is it possible to drain the coolant without getting her up onto a ramp.

does any one know where I can get the rear stop light bulbs for the light in the rear spoiler ? tried Halfords etc... Nissan main dealer was shut for Easter... thanks Tim

I have a noise comming from the back of my z (a kind of whirring noise) starts at around 40 kph and the sound is constant with the road speed (not the engine speed) its just as loud whether accelerating or breaking but sometimes it quietens down when cornering its not the pads ive had them done its not the tyres ive had them changed too any ideas???? its getting quite embarasing when it looks great but sounds like a nail from the inside.

I met up with a few friends last night that i used to 'boy race' with about 8 years ago so we all went for a little cruise together i took great pleasure in out accelerating an astra 2.2 cabriolet, celica gt4, pulsar gti-r, clio 16v and some overpowered civic thing but as we turned onto the M69 i knew my days were numbered, one by one they dissappeared into the distance and i arrived in Hinckley a full 3 minuites behind them. The sooner i get the bloody thing chipped the better. Then again i'd be able to afford it a hell of a lot quicker if i did'nt waste all my money on petrol driving about all the time!

Okay guys, 1st is courtesy order, i am told 3/4 of the 50 odd items ordered are on their way, so fingers crossed. Rear panels are being delivered to states this week, then to be shipped out a few days later to me, will let you know more when i get it. cheers smithy

Ive just recently started having problems starting my car,while it was in nissan having a new heater matrix fitted I asked them to try to sort it out but a week later they couldnt help me the ECU was showing no faults. Ive been trying it all day and 9 out of 10 times it will start and idle fine but when it doesnt it just trys its dammed hardest but then I will try again and then it will start. A mate of mine had a look at it today and checked the fuel filter which had pressure so thats ok and ive had the relay checked out its ok the fuel pump is working and theys no smell of fuel, It seems more like fuel starvation. Has anyone had a similar problem or any ideas b…

I have searched for posts on car speakers and would be grateful if someone in the know would confirm the following: 1.The car had the stereo removed when I bought it but I have since installed a Kenwood and the sound comes from all speakers with good volume. Does this mean that the original speaker amps have already been bypassed and that I need not worry about that? 2.The speakers sound really crap and need replacing. Should I be looking for 7”X 5” rears and 6.5” fronts as direct replacements? I’m not into funky big bass music so don’t want to spend a fortune on top of the range speakers just looking for decent, reasonably priced replacements. Can anybody …

Have just got her back from SE having had a replacement to a cracked head that put all (and I really mean all!!) the oil into the coolant system. After 100 miles the water seems slightly oily to the touch. Could this be residual oil that was clinging to the hoses and other internals or have they cocked up?

Started at 11am had a rest while I helped my friend installing speakers into his car for 20 mins, carried on and at 3:15, I finished. The car before washing. All the products used to make it clean. The final result. Im going driving through puddles now. Hehehe Stuart.
