Been working on the car today and took the front wing off for the first time. Found this black canister: What is it and what does it do? I also found this on the fuel line. Any body seen one before? It's magnetised too.....

Sold my z on sunday and want a manual one. Put an offer on this and won it but after speaking to the guy, its been welded on the front floor pans around the jacking area, needs a wheel arch sorted (rust) and the l/h roof under the targa has rust. Then if you look close at the passenger side lower quarter near the door it seems to be a different colour. Am I being too fusy but living in N.Ireland, its not exactly on my door to go and look at it. All advice would be appreciated.. here is the link and the winning offer. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/350871828979?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649 thanks guys Derek.

Hi Guys New to this so bare with me guys !!! NEW to Forums NEW to ZX's (But LOVE these cars already) Please help if you can. I have a 1992 non turbo, when purchased it used to change gears quite hard (just the 1st to the 2nd) and would only change at about 3000rpm. had the transmission oil changed and the Halfords machanic put too much in it. but the car was still doing the same. took it to Zedworld (great guy) advised me to have the loom check by an auto-elecrician and get rid of some oil. But due to work being so busy I have not had the time to do anything. So the ZX was parked up for a week, but I took it out yesterday, and found that the …

Over the past month or so I've been collecting a steady Shipley of parts and kit. The final bits arrived today from CZP: This is on top of the new exhaust, the 350z steering wheel, new silicone hoses and couplings, alloy reverb, subframe and diff bushes etc etc. Just need to find the time now!

I've had a flocking idea for my glovebox. The glovebox on the Z is a hard and cheap looking plastic. As they're now getting on, the finish is not quite 'showroom' and I was thinking about getting it flocked so that it feels a looks a little nicer. When I mean the glovebox, I mean the plastic liner. My old E90 M-Sport had one and it felt quite nice. Wondering if anyone's had this done before? Would do mine in black, but possibly dark grey?

To try and get my stillen gtz front lip to fit, after I received it the other week I tried to fit and found it wouldn't, after successfully trying the fit on z32bolts car (thanks buddy) just to confirm that it was just my z being off. I realised that my smoothed bumper was the issue, the lip simply would not fit as the slats in the original bumper would not give enough for me to hook it over the ends of the bumper. ( other stock z's won't have this issue if you have the original stone chip) I think there was soo much hardener used in the paint the bumper simply wouldn't flex. So after some sun and working on different cars all yesterday I decided by 5 pm I would g…

ive finally replaced my pods and ill be damned if i start drilling holes in it!! the alarm light was on top behind the boost gauge and the rear fog lights switch was on the inside of the pod, both on the ride side pod. firstly id like to have a separate switch for the rear fogs on the control panel. theres a space for a switch which is for the cruise control. if someone can donate just that switch or one that would be awesome. if i cant have it the way i plan then how can i wire the rear fogs to the front fog switch. so that both front and back are controlled from one switch :)

At long last I've got the road zed where it needs to be. Thanks to Jimmer who has put the final touches but it's been a long hard slog to sort out a load of really nice parts and put them together in such a way that it feels like it came out of the factory - just a lot quicker! It's running at 580rwhp but it's so easy to drive I'd be happy enough to let my girlfriend take it for a spin. We went out to blow the cobwebs and it felt right. Then went to the shops where she took the photos and yes they're not the best but we will take some proper ones next time the sun comes out :)

Been thinking about wheels for a while, and thinking about them is all I will be doing for a while yet, there's tried and tested ones that work and there's options that have something else about them. Without going down the route of the range of aftermarkets there are quite a few within the OEM for Nissan's tree that work well. For example the rays of a 350 look fantastic in fact there are a few of these options available that look great from that source. The R33 gtr ones are equally pleasing to look at although a bit smaller at 17". What I've developed a liking for though is the Advan AVS 5's off the SMZ, that idea has a sorta nice appeal. Anyone know much about th…
