I've had this problem for quite a long time - it only happens occasionally but somethimes you get in the car, turn the key, ignition comes on..... then turn to start and all the lights on the dash go out. Nothing else happens Now when I have had this problem I tend to go through a sequence of getting out of the car, locking the doors, wait a little bit, unlock and repeat the procedure until eventually it works Now today I got back from the gym and had to park on the opposite side of the road while i moved my van. Well as the title says, the two seem a little incompatilbe Have any others here got around the issue of having a good looking and great sounding boot install yet still having space to stash the targa's..... without compromising on sound? If so could you share some pics and specs please I really really dont' want to put the targas on my white leather seats! :pinch: Rich

Need some help, my electric fan is wired through a thermostat to a permanent live. So on a hot day it keeps spinning long after the engines switched off. Not to bad of a thing for engine bay temps but bad news for the odessey battery. Just got a new 1 on so don't want it killing everything I switch off the car. So, what I need, is best place fir an ignition live under the bonnet, and is there a switch I can buy so I can override on really hot days, but not 1 that if I forget to switch, fan won't come on. Know there's been loads of threads on viscous vs electric fans, not interested in any of that. So any advice welcome. Cheers Danny

I'd just like to let you all know I actually have my car back on the road again!! I'm sure many of you are familiar with the issues I have had for many months. Hi guys I bought my tt manual from a chap I gillingham last October drove it flawless 10 hours back to Aberdeen...emotional drive! The guy I bought it off didn't really know much about it either. There is a lot of modifications on it and I was hoping someone on the forum would know the previous owner apparently used to be on the forums a lot. Hi guys I have a manual tt with stock turbos and chipped Ecu. it was bought with a lot of interesting modifications including the above boost controller. I want to run it safely around 13psi does anyone know how to set this up. I decided it was finally time to change my leaky rocker cover gasket, all was well till i put everything back together and now it running like crap. it bearly revs sounds like its misfireing as well. will take it apart tomorrow and retrace my steps and see where ive gone wrong.

In brief, I have a Dell laptop with a 15 pin female serial connection socket. My Data Scan cable has a 9 pin female serial connection socket. My question is, how do I adapt the two without affecting the software function? Can I use an adaptor of some sort? If possible, I would prefer to remove the existing 9 pin female socket from the cable and re wire it to a 15 pin male connector. Is this possible? If so, would anyone know the correct pin wiring please?

I have replaced on of my recircs for a blitz bov. I plan to get another when I can drop on one for a good price. What I have found though is it seems to be very quiet. Also, anything less than half boost i can hear the turbo stalling... Which way do I need to wind the spring? Thanks

Does anyone know where I can get replacement seals/gaskets for the balance bar? I have a hissing from the RH side of the end of the balance bar even with the bolts really really tight. The rubber gaskets/seals look old and are probably hard too. If any has any spare ones, or knows the size, shore hardness and spec of them that would be appreciated also. Cheers, Greg

Ive been having a problem with the car being down on power, the last week or so. Every so often, it will go back to normal and pull well for a few minutes and then go back to lacking power. I have also noticed that the enginebehaves oddly when the throttle is 'blipped'. The revs will drop for a split second before going up. Also I've noticed that the boost pressure will only go to 3/4s of what it normally would. Can anyone suggest anything to check, would the TPS cause anything like this? PTU also? Injectors appear to be OK. Video to follow in a few mins

Having spent fortunes getting the car right I am going take out the engine and gearbox to keep as spare for my race car and sell the rest. This is not a for sale thread and I won't be taking offers for any of the parts until I place it in classified section. I will be taking it to Japfest rather than the race car which will be too loud for the track so anyone interested can look at it there and inspect at your leisure. Most of you know the car as Madmax zed and it looks the same pretty much. Various upgrades and proper matching of parts now this is a serious car. Passed again this morning woohoo. Car has been off road for the winter so was good to get back in her! Feels so much quicker to the point of being scared when booting it, and having to take it easy with the throttle. One advisory slight play in rear hicas ball joint. He did state it was very slight and not a great deal of difference to the other side which was solid. Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk

Zed- Racer you put on a na rear end onto your tt. did you get to manage to give it a burn round the track and if you have finished it does it feel nice and tight. and do or can you notice the lower end gains ect and what and how has it affected yourspeedo if at all..any long drives yet to see if finished, weather the gearing makes a difference to motorway driving ? sorry toask all these questions but i bet im not the only person intrested in your results. cheers

Hi, i've got 3 exhausts, all go up to the cats and are fine, from there to the manifold pipes it gets a bit rusty and holy... what i need to know is whats available (in the UK ) to replace this section. i found this chunk of metal from the USA but was wondering who i go to in the UK (good references) to get something similar. Also do i keep the cats? if they go what is affected?. i know when i had it MOT'd the other day it fell outside the emissions test by 3 months, advice please. Hi guys, Most of us POP charger guys have problems with MAF's getting wet or have high humidity issues with rain. Hi all, well I am still trying to get to the bottom of the 91 degree out reading from 2 timing lights...... The car doesn't pull as i would expect from a TT and it stalls in reverse and when rev's drop quick if you have to come off boost and stop quickly..... Might be unrelated but thought I would throw it out there....... Can a timing belt throw out the ignition timing so it reads as 91 degrees out and not hit valves and pistons????? interference engines I have worked on before don't usually like having the belt on wrong and self destruct at less than this I thought??
