just seen an interesting debate about E10 petrol which is due to be the main petrol in the Uk from September, (obviously high octane e5 will still be available) will our cars run on e10 or would it cause damage? I only ask as I live in a rural area so still getting E5 could be an issue.

Hello everyone, I have searched the forums for a few days before taking the plunge and asking for help. 1992 Non Turbo fresh JDM import. I have finally decided to import my dream car, the 300zx! She drives off the transporter with a few misfires and perhaps a missing cylinder (not literally thankfully) and i get her parked up on my drive. Do an oil change, OEM filter, OEM fuel filter too, 6 irridium spark plugs "version 7" from z1Motorsports; slap them in. Put 6 litres of V-power to get it to the MOT garage. Next morning she starts on a dime, all 6 cylinders singing and happy no misfires. 60 seconds later the revs start to go up and down without settling, i pu…

Alright guys, been letting my car sit for far too long and it's time to get it looked at so I know where to start with it. It's been languishing for around a decade now and I've finally go round to putting a few quid to one side, but now I'm struggling to find a specialist garage anywhere near me. I've seen the posts about LA Autos and Powerzed, but they are a substantial distance from me (County Durham) and since we are still kind of locked down I'd ideally like to take it somewhere more local. Does anyone know of a garage up in the Durham/Newcastle area at all? Cheers Dan

Hi guys & girls After some advise I’m currently installing new injector plugs got the kit too do them but some of my old plugs were so bad that the wiring was just two spade connectors on an injector! I removed the wiring a few weeks back as I was doing other bits! But I’m now stuck on what wires are live and ground! Need to get them right at the plugs obviously just didn’t know if anyone knew of a diagram or what colours were live and ground at each injector so I can join these new pigtail plugs I got correctly Cheers Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hi, Can anyone point me in the direction of a good audio service centre that could fix my original radio / cassette unit from my 1991 Uk 300 ZX? I want to retain my unit if possible although would also consider a very good replacement unit. Thanks in advance

I've just started the restoration of my Zed after it's been sat on my drive for 10 years. After taking the passenger wing off i noticed a canister. It has two rubber tubes connected to it and what looks like a small white filter. What is it and can i delete it?

Evenin’ all! My import ‘96TT would originally have had the later electric HICAS, but when I took her to Jimmer for her first check-up one of the first things he pointed out was the lock-out bar the previous owner had fitted. From that and the lowered suspension I suspect she might have drifted in her younger days. Anyway I’ve recently wondered exactly what might have been removed when deleting electric HICAS, and whether it might be practical to re-instate the system. But I have no idea what the electric set-up involved. Clearly the PAS hydraulics to the rear will be absent, and replaced with some form of actuators, but does anyone have access to a diagram or descrip…

What diameter is the front OEM Sway bar on a JDM LWB? I'm away from home so can't measure it to buy the correct bushes. I thought 26.5mm, but I've read various conflicting information.

Hi all, A really strange fault with my Zed today (1993 TT Auto), after about a mile, the engine cut out. No misfire, no judder, no warning - it just cut out and all the dash warning lights came on. I coasted into a parking space, drew to a halt and restarted the car......all good. Half a mile along the road , the same thing happened, no warning other than all the dash lights on. Restarted again no problem, drove home (another half mile) and parked up. I checked under the bonnet for loose wires, checked the PTU terminals and wiring - all okay. Let her idle for ten minutes, again - all okay. No hesitation, she idled away fine. Took her out again an…

To some, one of the most annoying 'features' of the Z32 is the extra wipe when turning off the windscreen wipers. Here is a solution published on TT.net. http://www.twinturbo.net/nissan/300zx/forums/general/view/2645417/New-video-for-the-weekend.html Details here on how to safely open up the wiper control module located on the RH (OS) inner wing near the firewall. http://www.twinturbo.net/nissan/300zx/forums/general/view/2645450/It-works-fantastic-Thank-you-for-sorting-this-out.html

It was the first decent, mild and dry day of the year - so I thought, why not take the Zed out for a spin. Did anyone else think the same.....? I covered about 50 miles across the Chilterns - so technically still local (and I did combine it with the supermarket run) - nice A-roads, a blast on the M40 and some traffic-free B-road action. I wasn't the only modern classic car owner out and about either. I saw some nice 80s and 90s machinery on my travels - so it seems a few others had the same idea! From a couple of '90s Porsche 911s, a 944, a very smart R129 Merc SL500, a Lotus Esprit and a Lotus Elan. I guess today was the day, that people thought their cars had …

So I'm looking at buying my new z next month but can't decide. I can get one imported from Japan by a decent company within my budget and they claim its spotless or should I just get one in the UK, plenty about. From what I can see the car coming from Japan will be low mileage, looks pretty clean on pics, underside will be treated and all I'll have to do is tax and insurance it when it arrives everything would have been sorted registration, mot ect. only downside is it's an auto.

Anyone know what theses indicators are? Just so I know what my options are if I do change them. Also the Perspex strip, I’ve never seen them like that, aren’t they usually black??♂️
