Hello everyone, I intend to underseal the car this summer and am wondering how I can get the car high enough to jet wash then apply the underseal into every nook and cranny. Any ideas? Cheers Vijay

I'm just about to order a sub box for the Z - not that I even own one yet but still! I just want to make sure I get one that will still fit in the boot OK, so can anyone tell me how deep the boot is from the bottom of the rear window to the floor please? From what I can remember from my old Z, I think it was about a foot and a bit, but I need to be sure. Cheers :)

Anyone know where i can get a decent set of Alloys (17" or more if poss!) with tyres. Ive a Jap Z TT 2+2, its got 17" with 225/245. I cant really spend much more than £400 though!!!

Ok, I need to find out if my paranoia is getting just TOO ridiculous or not.... When you accelerate in your Zed (in normal traffic flow) do you get the turbo boost indicator to 0 or over? Mine is an auto and to keep up with normally accelerating traffic, I have to get the indicator to 0 or just over. Is this a mark of the autos changing up as soon as possible or what? It takes me about 8-10 seconds to get from 40-50 in third without going into the plus half of the boost gauge. Just wondering folks....come on, tell me I`m being just a little too neurotic here.....

After my post about my car behaing badly at idle and sometimes when cold shutting down I decided last Sunday to try few of what u guys told me and so far everything seems to be ok. The only think I did is to remove the Air Idle Regulator (Dont know if this is how its called) that closes after five minutes. I opened it and cleaned using WD-40. I also use WD-40 for all the connectors. Then I also discovered that one of the engine vacuums was disconnected (this causes erratic idle i know for sure). Hi all. The saga with my ZX continues. I was sold this car with the Speedo totally inaccurate. 2 journeys to the garage and still no joy. Back in on friday where hopefully it will be fixed. The garage in Liskeard is now going to be investigated by Trading Standards and possibly the police as when you buy a car from a garage it must be road legal and if not contravenes some construction and roadworthy act. And I need to know what to expect, so I can hopefully have and idea if this Zed is healthy or not... 1) What's the power delivery like? In my previous cars I went from an 8v to a 16v and I thought the 16v was broken at first till I hit 5000rpm then it goes mad. What's the power curve like on a Zed TT, when do the turbos start to boost and what at what speeds does it go best? Do you get a kick and get pinned back into the seat, or is it a smooth building power delivery? 2) I know to check the boost gauge actually goes into the right hand side when giving it some, what should the other gauges be showing ie. Have just bought a 2+2 TT Auto, 88000kms. When braking at medium to low speeds there is sometimes an unusual feeling coming through the brake pedal, along with a noise from the front of the car. The brake pedal (under pressure) seems to lift slightly and then vibrate before going back to normal operation. This doesn't seem to effect the stopping distance. It sounds like it might be a fault with the ABS system, any thoughts would be much appreciated.:confused:

I've just managed to flog my 200SX, so I'm now in the market for a 300 at last :D :D I'm going to go for an import and have been recommended to check out the car auctions at Southampton docks as they seem to go for cheap money (~£3K for a 91 model) Does anyone have any experience of the auctions down there, i.e. are they flogging dogs for cheapo money? Would I maybe be better off going to one of the personal import companies and paying that bit extra for peace of mind? Does anyone have any numbers of the auction houses down there (there are a number of them apparently). I'm after a 91+ black, TT, SWB, manual with the targa roof hopefully - how likely …

Guys, I am just about giving up with my standard dipped beam, their a nightmare.......to the point where I may have to rush home before it gets dark!!!! Hi Guy's My rear boot spoiler has started to split. Now would be a good time to change to a Supra style spoiler. Can anybody give me a price to do this job. I know that i'll need a boot lid skin etc.But looking for a price as it's not a job i could tackle. Cheers Dave.

OK, picked up my Zed Today :D :D Then had a heart attack a mile down the road when it spluttered to halt ... eek... thankfully it just ran out of petrol before i could get to a station - RAC soon sorted that!! Anyway stupid questions.... 1) how the hell do you lock the doors!! turn key but nothing happens, interior locks work though 2) how do you flip from dip to main beam... 3) car is sweet apart from a squeeking noise when clutch is pressed?? maybe a bearing somewhere? goes when clutch is lifted again. that's enough for now... opinions so far, 3rd is fun, 2nd is scary, haven't nailed it in first yet (too scared) Cheers, James

Just wondering why on the turbo boost guage there is a minus figure.. e.g. -7.....0.....+7.? Asked my mate the other day and he didn't have a scooby, so I'm now eagerly awaiting some amazing tech answer so I can impress him next time I'm loosing badly at pool down the local!! Mark

hi folks, 'perusing' z centre's site, and noticed in the bodykits section, a red zed with a strip accross arse end, its made of black vinyl and costs £25, but difficult to gauge quality/appearance. any of you folks got one of these on?? does it look 'tacky' - sorry z centre, or is it a credible alternative to proper round lights. vicky

Why is this? When my headlights are on the clock display etc go v dim, hard to read :confused: . Shouldn't they get brighter?! :rolleyes: Is it a battery related problem? I haven't got any big energy-sapping devices fitted. Cheers Pete
