Hi Guy's My rear boot spoiler has started to split. Now would be a good time to change to a Supra style spoiler. Can anybody give me a price to do this job. I know that i'll need a boot lid skin etc.But looking for a price as it's not a job i could tackle. Cheers Dave.

Anyone ever had it fitted? I'd love it, but imagine it'd be v expensive? Pete

OK, picked up my Zed Today :D :D Then had a heart attack a mile down the road when it spluttered to halt ... eek... thankfully it just ran out of petrol before i could get to a station - RAC soon sorted that!! Anyway stupid questions.... 1) how the hell do you lock the doors!! turn key but nothing happens, interior locks work though 2) how do you flip from dip to main beam... 3) car is sweet apart from a squeeking noise when clutch is pressed?? maybe a bearing somewhere? goes when clutch is lifted again. that's enough for now... opinions so far, 3rd is fun, 2nd is scary, haven't nailed it in first yet (too scared) Cheers, James

hi folks, 'perusing' z centre's site, and noticed in the bodykits section, a red zed with a strip accross arse end, its made of black vinyl and costs £25, but difficult to gauge quality/appearance. any of you folks got one of these on?? does it look 'tacky' - sorry z centre, or is it a credible alternative to proper round lights. vicky

Why is this? When my headlights are on the clock display etc go v dim, hard to read  . Shouldn't they get brighter?! Is it a battery related problem? I haven't got any big energy-sapping devices fitted. Cheers Pete

Can anyone help me, i have been trying to find some rims ( 18 or 19 ) but a lot of the companys i have been calling dont stock any rims that are a direct fitment to the mighty 300ZX. Does anyone know the measurments of the PCD and off set as most of the companys have fopr the S14 200sx which i was told have the same PCD measurement as the 300zx. in desperate need of anyones advice and knowledge thanx guys and gals

My Zed, (stock import), has a turbo timer fitted and it was set to 20 second when I purchased it. It was reset when I changed my battery so I set it to 20 seconds. But I saw another thread where someone was using 60seconds. What do others use? What would you recommend? Thanks in advance. Mr. T. Lovejoy

Hi guys/gals, its coming up to the dreaded cambelt replacement time in my Jap NA soon at 54K. What I want to Know is what else should I be thinking about replacing/looking at /checking while front is in bits, that is sensible to do at the same time to save future expese/time etc.? Is it also a must to source correct belt etc. from Mr.Nissan, bearing in mind what JeffTT has been saying and does this also apply to other engine service replacemnt parts? The work will probably be done by local garage, who have been very good so far and work on BM,s , Lotii, mercs etc. as well as mine, but may use jap specialists Protech in Nailsea, will get quote first! Would…

Hi all, I've been looking at this: http://www.z32.org/html/foglights.shtml It looks like it might be a good alternative to the "Jeff Headlamp/Baco-foil" upgrade. Has anyone tried removing the glare guard from their fogs? Any comments on this? Is it legal? Do I need to inform my insurance company? Should I change the bulbs while I'm doing this, and if so, what type of bulb are they? Appreciate your thoughts on any of this! Cheers, Russ.

I need a new engine and gearbox and am looking at buying a scrap Z to change the lot over and maybe get a bit of cash back by selling a few of the other goodies that I don't need. My only worry is it will be hard to know the exact condition of the engine/box unless it is driveable when I get it, although I will be able to swap bits from my old engine to fix minor stuff. My Z is a Jap spec auto but the cheapest way to do things looks like getting a manual Z and swapping the lot over. (Rebuilding the auto box to cope with about 400+ bhp is going to cost about £1500 alone) I am going to do the work with the help of a couple of forum mates and other car nuts I know. …

Hi Just noticed that I have a couple of bulbs out. One headlight bulb has died, so I'll take the opportunity to get a pair of brighter ones. What do people recommend for this - I don't want any problems accociated with 100W ones I've found searching, just a little brighter. Do Halfrauds sell 'em or it is a case of mail order cos its an import? Also one brake light is v dim, I haven't investigated this yet, just been told by a mate who was following (or trying to :D:D). He says there is some light, but not much. Again, can I source these bulbs easily? How many are there per brake light? Sorry to those people with bigger probs :( , I'm sure I'll have those in…

My 300zx '92 Airbag Warning Light is blinking. The dealer said I should change the "Airbag Module" (That's very expensive). Some Idea about this issue? Could be another solution?

Was washing the old thunder today and did the normal trick of standing back in the garage taking a look at the wonderous 99 spec bumper when I saw what I thought was a twig sticking out from underneath. Living out in the sticks, I tried to yank it out, only to realise it was a wire:confused: Managed to find the other end (it was a single male-female joint) and linked it back up. Thing is that there was nothing non functional on the car.....everything was working and I`m a bit confused as to what this wire does. It was trapped between the rear of the bumper and the front of the undertray about three inches over to the off side of the car. Do any of you have a cl…

I'm not starting a Manual Vs Auto or UK Vs Import discussion here! ;) What are the "true" performance times of Auto TT Zeds? I have searched this site and seen loads of conflicting information. Some posts say 7.5 secs to 60??? WTF! That's slower than a quick hot hatch! Other info says they are 5.5-5.7 to 60 and Nissan say they are faster to 100 than a manual. Also I have seen loads of different power figures showing the UK Auto is around 260BHP compaired to the US/Jap 280HP... Is this true or just a UK Vs Import thing? I don't mind an auto cause I like them and do lots of traffic driving, but I don't want an auto if it's going to be 2 seconds slow…

Don`t know if you guys remember but last year reported that a certain dealer in B.ham with a gravel drive was selling poor quality zeds and applying registration plates newer than the real age of the cars, in many cases removing evidence of date of manufacture by cutting out labels etc. Well they are at it again! despite me explaining in detail to the owner that what he was doing was wrong and even giving him a data sheet of information so he would not "innocently" make the same mistake again. Was asked by a prospective zed owner to check out a cherry red zed at a garage I did not recognise the name of, but all was revealed by the address, this is the same garag…

2 pm today driving back from work car seemed to start to judder. Was worse at lower speeds. Also the power seemed to be dramatically reduced. When at 60 mph you could still feel a vibration coming from the engine as if it was trying to push the car back as I drove. Is this one of the coils/Plugs or something more sinister. Had ordered plugs from courtesy on the 21st of Feb. which havent arrived yet. How long does it usually take to get stuff form the states?? Will a ECU diagnostic shed light on this. How do i check the coil packs are OK?? Cheers Roy
