Abit of update from a nite sprint.. lost to a 2.2 mod up S14, lost to a RX7 Infini at 200m sprint by half a car length.. beat him on a 400 tho.. beat a 2.2 mod up turbo charged accord hands down.. Anyway.. I was doing 250km/h (dunno in miles) on a highway, HICAS light came on, had a hard brake when road narrowed into a corner which I dropped gear to 4 then to 3.. RPM needle went to 0 and engine dies on me.. and couldn't start after that.. After much unsucessful cranking, my '92 manual TT was towed back to Singapore.. 2day my mechanic told me that Ignition coil is dead.. n he couldn't find a replacement.. Ordering from Nissan Singapore I gotta wait 2 months...:( a…

Right I'm really p1ssed off now. After waiting 6 weeks for my PTU and Temp sensor (with harness) to arrive from Texas. I finally got them this week and fitted them on Sunday along with a 3k oil change (3k miles not £'s). I disconnected the battery before I started and it took me about 3 hours overall (Tea breaks, lunch breaks and nosey neighbours accounted for about 2 hours of that LOL). I know that my ECU is relearning, I also ran Diag's before and after and got 55 both times. I was convinced that it was the PTU as I thought it was misfiring but now realise that it seemed to be choking or hesitating. I had a misfire yesterday from not connecting the PTU up …

My ZX has a perished/loose coolant hose going from the back of the engine into the left turbo bank, the garage just rang me to say that they don't want to take the job on (!) coz it's difficult to get to and they wouldn't be guaranteed to find a similar hose to fit. Anybody know anywhere in the South West that would be able to do this job? HELP!!:(

Does anyone know of any driving lights that will fit where the fog lights go? I'm sure it will be easy to mount them if I can just find some of the right size. Does anyone know the sizes of the stock fog lights? My Z is away at the moment.

I have noticed that if I am unable to get Optimax and fill up on a tank of super and then later refill with Optimax I get a misfire. This only happened at 1500 - 2000 revs and lasted for the whole tank. I can cure it by either putting another load of super in or just wait for it to go away. Was it a shite tank of Optimax or is it the engine(ecu) reacting to the change in petrol ? It's been suggested to me that so few people use Optimax that the petrol can be "old". Just wondered if anyone else had noticed this ?

Seems to be a national trend to get replacement wheels for the Zed but I really quite like the originals (think its the Z logo in the centre that does it for me) but mine are quite tatty Anyone here had a refurb job done on stock wheels and if so, what kind of results did you get?

I recently was advised to see the real difference with air induction the exhaust needs to be upgraded first so that intake output is effective. Comments please? Geoff.

When I pick up the ZX, I want an oil change and service done before I put too many abusive miles on it. Where do you Bristol owners take your cars for a service? I would ideally like someone who is familier with Z32s because I want someone to give it a general health check so I know what to start saving for in the next few weeks ;) Thanks in advance

How much are you paying for good old optimax. At the garage near where I live it's 80.9p a litre. I went to Swansea on the weekend and filled up there for the trip home....82.9p!!! I thought things were generally cheaper in Wales(like beer) but not optimax.  Cheers,F.T.

thanks for the replies RE: Heavy Clutch??? So it seems I definitly have a problem with my clutch, it shouldn't be this heavy and the release bearing noise isn't too much to worry about. I don't think it has an uprated clutch... Has anybody got any ideas what could be causing the heavyness??? Is there any way of testing the hydraulics? or is it just a matter of strip down and inspection? Has anybody done this? any help is appreciated!

Just had a nice upgrade to the beast :D Took it to Zedworld for a chip upgrade and boost jets. Now pushing 15 psi:cool: Also changed the 16" wheels with dodgy Jap rubber ( illegal over here apparently ?) for some stonking 18"s. Its a new car:D One thing I noticed though , I hadn't seen more than 2 Zeds together before , isn't it strange how they all look different? Compared to other Sports coupes that is....hang on its 2am...I'm blathering on....Cheers Phil

OK - this is now bugging me.... Ive got really badly squeaking windscreen wipers - just replaced them today as they where getting old and thought that might be the problem but no luck - the new ones squeak as well - has anyone come across this problem and found a fix? Does the windscreen need cleaning with anything special or do I need new wiper control arms or is ther any adjustment I can make??? Any help appreciated. Thanks.
