Hi All, Whilst fixing a rearlight sensor this evening I was mightily p***ed off to find a really poor repair job on the LH rear wing. I noticed the wheel arch was sitting slightly further over the wheel than the opposite side, and started pulling the boot appart to look. Anyway, it has corroded through underneath the bumper. Is it possible to replace the rear wheel arch? It's obviously a very big job, but could anyone point me towards a body shop that could do it (if anybody?) Cheers

Thought I`d admit a little bout of stupidity Was looking at the front end of the car last week and saw a wire dangling. Found the other end and connected the circuit. Car ran like pants for a little while but improved over the next day or two. Three days later the lights stopped working. thinking it might have something to do with the wires I had reconnected, I took the indicator and fog light unit out. Whatever these wires were, I don`t know but they had melted into each other and shorted. Separated an insulated them and all appears to be good. Anyone here know what this circuit is? It affected the sidelight/dipped beam circuit only, main beam was fine. Could t…

ok, done the normal searching and found LOADS of info, all helpful and has allowed me to remove instrument cluster, to the point of the connectors going into back of cluster (im changing dials) and after spending the last 2 hours in a cold garage trying, cannot for the life of me get the connectors off. Im paranoid because the are all part of the mylar sheet, dont fancy rippimg/breaking that! soooo........... is there and easy way if disconnecting them, either brute force of daintily. no real play there because all the looms are quite tight, spend most of the time looking through screen and contorting myself like a chimp but no joy. anyone done this (obvious…

Okay, so I was being a naughty boy and doing mmmm mph above the speed limit on a nice straight A road near me at about 2 in the morning. Just about to take a round-about (island to you northerners!) onto a dual carrige way and blast it when the dreaded blues flash in the rear view. :( :( I pull over and get out of the car and a couple of stern faces come over, and after a few seconds (that feel like eternity) of shaking head and waving finger and listening to me being nice and apologetic like they break in to a grin and start asking about the car. What is it, what does it do etc. After picking my chin of the floor, I happily get started on my favorite topic.…

Thought today was going to be a good day but was proved wrong yet once again. Here's the story so far: I'm the holder of a Dutch drivers licence, which I've had for 13 years. During this time I have not had an accident, not been fined for any reason and been an all round safe driver. I passed my driving test in the USA and three years later exchanged it for the above Dutch on. There is a nice stamp on my Dutch licence stating I also hold a US drivers licence. This Dutch licence is due to expire on 9th March this year and I sent it off to the DVLA one month ago to have it exchanged for a full UK licence (as required by UK law). Thought all was well until this mo…

Could I have some advice on this please. Occasionally when I start up, the power stearing does not seem to be working, every thing is very heavy. This can happen when starting from hot or cold, but seems to resolve its self after a couple of minutes. Is this the start of a problem or have I aready got one.

At the moment my det sensor is bypassed by a resisitor (dodgy I know!), i'm going to fit a new one shortly. I want to move it's position, i've looked at the tech articles on TT.net and they all point to above the plenum, reducing its effectivness. I was thinking about putting mine onto the back of the block, where the battery negative leads down, or possibly even using one of the bellhousing bolts. Any suggestions? Cheers, Ben. P.S. I've got a Veilside ECU going cheap. It's mapped for an intake and exhaust on a manual 1990 car. Any offers around £150.

What's the correct bulb wattage for the main beam driving light bulbs (not full beam)? My UK spec had a 55W on the left, and a 130W on the right, which failed and brought on the warning light. I put two 55W in and they work fine, but the warning light's still on... Thought it might be 'cos of the wrong current draw from the bulbs being detected by the light warning circuit... Any help?

Hi everyone, i am a newbie and i am currently looking for a 300ZX in the Japanese Market. I have found some examples with low mileage(not suspiciously low), and they have some codes next to the details, the first code is 'E-GZ 32' and the other is 'GZ 32'. I was just wondering because I have done it other cars without any problems. I think it will be ok, if I leave the EGR solenoid still pluged the ECU will not detect it.

Hi folks My battery died at work tonight. Whilst waiting for my sister to come and rescue me my boss, about to head off home, had jump leads and managed to get my car going. Unfortunately, I had to wait for my sister to arrive and when she got there the car stalled. Which was nice. We had to push the car out of the way for others to enter and leave the car park. Christ, it's seriously heavy. It took four people to push it, mind you it was up a slight hill. We tried a few places to purchase a battery but ended up empty handed. Suprisingly enough, Halfords didn't have one in stock, hmmmm. They would have charged £60. Is this a good price compared to Niss…

Now I'm such a novice on this topic it's embarassing :o I wanna change my import radio and speakers for some half decent new ones. Looking in the backs of various car mags I see prices have dropped loads over the past few years, which is good :D. Decent cd changer, nowt flash, looks around £150, speakers £50 a pair? Not bothered about being the best/loudest/bassiest(!) just wanna be able to play cds and turn the volume up sometimes without fuzzy noises etc. Do I need an amp? Are they only for high wattage outputs? Will the wiring already in place be ok? Can I just go to a shop and buy a stereo I like, with 4 speakers of the right size, and fit th…

I recently asked for advice on a problem i was having with my N/A auto Z suffering from a vibration/judder coming from underneath around the 2000 rpm mark when accelerating. The advice I was given by various people was the it was most likley the Center Shaft Bearing (prop-shaft bearing). After finally getting my car back today and costing £325 it has made no difference whatsoever. As u can imagine im gutted, just lost £325 for nothing and still have no idea what the problem is, can anyone suggest wtf i do now (apart from cry that is)?

:( Headache..... After running my engine in with TotalSeal rings - I've apparently got a problem which haunts most toalseal users - oil burn, and lot of it! So.... I need some 88mm (which is 1mm oversize for the VG30) rings. Nissan only go to +0.5mm, Johnny @ GPS hasn't a clue, and my local engine builders only suggestion is the 200SX rings - which are the correct size and shape apparantly - can anyone confirm this? (88mm, 1.6 top, 1.6 scraper, 4mm oil) Any help regarding 200sx rings or where i may source some rings from would be much appreciated Cheers
