Hi, Dropped the heads off today to get them Ported+polished and the guy rang Piper Cams to ask about reprofiling the cams! He said the cost would be about 250 if they could do anything, has anybody had any experience of this?

Hello anyone, Wondering if anyone can identify this item. It's on the drivers side of the gearbox on the opposite side to the rev sensor. It has 2 wires coming out of it and it has been left disconnected by some garage:confused:  Thanks Vijay

Ok, I bet you guys are biased but should I buy a 300ZX? I have a 200SX (S13) at the moment which is fine but I think the 300 looks sweet. I ride motorbikes so I'm used to high performance and I had a drive in a mate's Fairlady, which seemed pretty quick. I almost bought the Fairlady (J-plate, 120,000kms, nice condition, £2500) but I'm terrified of huge repair bills. The fuel consumption and insurance I can live with cos they're predictable but how much will servicing / engine repairs cost? What's a worst and best case figure? (I bet people ask this question all the time...) Craig David (no, not that one...)

i had my konis fitted bye a local garage, on top of the original rear struts there was a grey solanoid which kind of fitted on top,but the konis didnt have the attachment so the garage just left them hanging,so now everytime i put the handbrake on theres an anoying clonk from them. Will it be ok just to strap them up or do they go there for a specific reason, also ive noticed a severe amount of brake dust all over the rear of the car now,my pads a v low and will be changed tomorrow, could it be this thats causing the dust.........

According to my ECU I am. I did an ECU test and got the all clear, 55. I than ran the O2 test, when you rev the car for 2 mins at 2000rpm and the light is supposed to flash about 5 times every 10 seconds. Mine flashes on for 15-20 seconds on then goes off for 1-2 seconds then back on for 15-20 secs. Are my O2 Sensors wrong? Will they need replacing? I think they do. Plus my tail pipes are covered in soot. Stuart

Inlet additives...hmmmm..OK! There are many products on the market, from octain boosting filter oils to NoS, as we are fully aware. But has anyone regulated the flow of pure O2 into the manifold. Far cheeper, very easy to diaphram suppy at varying pressure, & its a combustable fuel support carrier . If the flow of air to fuel to O2 was calculated by a clever sod @ all throttle positions & a neumatic flow diaphram was used to feed the manifold, surly this would mean 'fuel/fuel carrer-combustable O2 & air ? And as O2 is ice cold on constant pressurised deliverance - is a thought too. Probably been done already, but i've been asked why not. …
