Driving from my Hotel in Shipley to Bradford this morning I saw a great big FOR SALE sign in the front window of a nice purple car by the side of the road. Unfortunately it was a... shhhh... R33 Skyline GTR... I tried looking away, but I couldn't help myself.... I've got to go back that way this avo to head up to Newcastle.... should I stop for a look...? It's an S reg - how much is one of those roughly? (obv. no idea of mileage as but it looked in v. good condition) Help me - I love my Zed but I love Skyline's too!! Someone think of a reason why I should or shouldn't stop!!

Right, ive thought ive had a leak in me air system and it seems to be the gasket on the front of the intake before pressure is made. Its around part 16523-M on the below page; http://www.courtesyparts.com/z32/oe_turbo-hw.html The leak seems to come out round the top side of the gasket. I tightened up one of the bolts a bit but cant see how its physically possible by anything other than a shrew to get at the other bolt round the top of the pipe, this is trying to get at it from under the car. Is it possible that if that bolt is loose it will be causing the leak or is the gasket nackered? Is that a common problem? Pressurising the system from the MAS, air…

Hi all, I am thinking of selling my 300, really just to buy another one from Japan. But what mine worth? 1993 (november) Series Two. 50k miles auto TT. Black 17'' Split rims, good tyres Aftermarket rear exhust, not loud or drain pipe size. Uk clocks 12 month MOT Plus usual stuff like cd, t roof etc VERY NICE inside and out. I am very tempted to say above average but have not seen a great many others. Drives like a dream. Any comments would be nice.

Hi Guys Anyone fitted an autometer mechanical water temp gauge. If so where do you fit the sender cos it has a 1/2"NPT male connector. Do I need to replace the top radiator pipe with a stainless steel pipe and have a boss welded on it or is there another place to put it. There is only 6ft of capillary tube connected to the meter and it is quite a run to get back from this position. It is also difficult to keep it away from extra heat that could affect the gauge. Any ideas  Cheers, Dean.

Have been having friendly banter with guy at work about his tvr and my datsun as he calls it, he has a 95 n reg griffith 500 5ltr 68 k full tvr history, and yes you guessed it tonight it finally happened, we left work at same time, and the inevitable happened. Ive driven his a few times b4 i got my tt, and to be honest i thought nothing could be quicker, its sound and feel are awesome. We went from 40, then almost a stand still then from 100, so a good measure. result; from 40 to 80 = same, standstill to 150 = same ish to 80 after 80 i was off, i gained about six car lengths ahead, couldnt believe it im still in awe, then again from 100 i was off again, up to 140 this…

Against better advice I went down to Ram City Motors, to have a look at the Zeds they have down there. True to for there were 3 dogs, but one that seemed to be in much better nick than the others. Anyway I had a good look around the thing and noticed that the turbo gauges didn't match the ones in the link http://www.300zx.co.uk/tech/BuyingZ.htm The ones in this only went to ±0.7 or ±7 (can't remember which). I'm going back this weekend for a drive, but the link says that the boost should be passed 7 bar region. If it is 7 bar on the dials on this import then surely its underboosting? Anyone else seen this? Cheers Rod

Hi, A few weeks back you might remember me asking for advice on getting my cracked windscreen reaplaced. Autoglass told me today that Nissan said the windscreen trim that needs to be replaced with the screen is now unavailable (what ever that means) - which means i cant have my windscreen replaced at the mo! Its sounds very strange but the chap at autoglass said it has happened before to other models like a volvo t70 - could not do repairs to them for 2-3 months. Anyway chap is ment to be talking to Nissan to find out what is going on! Lucky the crack is not in the danger area - so i can still drive the car.... So i dont know if he has the wrong end of the stic…

Petrol repair bonding chemical looks to be spot on if you have a leaking fuell tank, of course all normal safety precautions are required and after any repair it is best kept observed for a while. Pic one shows leaking fuel after tyhe support strap was removed Pic two shows 36 hours later after chemical cure repair. Jeff TT

Is it usual to have a strong whiff of fuel for a few minutes (max) after starting the engine up? Also, after hoofing it quite a bit, there are other smells (oily maybe?). Not intense but if you don't have a cold, you'll notice it. Is this also usual? Regards, Peter

Right, due to evil company benefits changing loads and us all losing our Company Fuel cards (grumble moan complain), and a really nasty clash with me moving miles away, going to have to get a second car as a general cruiser for heading to and from work. 50 miles each way from Warwick to Milton Keynes (will be when I've moved), that means running the Zed every day is *way* too much.. so, not selling the zed, and need something else, and need advice please. I'll be honest, total snob when it comes to cars.. need something that's less than £10k *nice* to drive... reasonably quick, good motor way cruiser, decent fuel economy... how are R33 Skyline's on fuel?! :) (oh …
