can anyone try and shed some light on this.set off 4500rpm car changes gear from 1st to wot seems like 3rd or 4th a rpm drop off 2 to 2500rpm dont seem rite to me if u boot it from a stand still it hits the rev limiter and cant find a gear u back off a bit and it picks one up.but if u select HOLD it seems to go through the gears ok also i dont think its finding top gear flat out its reading 190kph but the revs are prity close to the red line well 190kph isnt even 120mph its a 91 tt jap spec is it time to give it a vikings fueneral

When removing the windscreen wipers, is there just 1 nut to undo followed by a tug of war.... or am I missing something? Thanks Mark

Hi, A week or so ago I posted about my windscreen problem, the "unavailability" of the 300ZX screen turned out that Autoglass had not paid thier bill to Nissan and thus the account was on stop - Plonkers!! :p Anyway they phoned me up to say they had the glass and trim. They turned up and explained they did not have the same tint screen - i said no probs and left them to it. Anyway half an hour later the chap told me the glass would not fit - it was 1 inch too short :mad: So what is going on, several people told me on here they had UK glass fit thier jap car! Hi Guys, My brother is looking to buy a Nissan Skyline R33 GTS 25 Turbo ( M reg). Now we don't know what the difference is between a : GTS, GTR and GTT??? I do know GTR V-Spec is the best and it also has two turbos and 4WD whereas GTS 25 Turbo has a single turbo and Hicas steering. Could someone please advise me on the differences among these three models and wot should we be looking at technically when viewing this vehicle.....it has Full Kit, 19" rims, Standard enging except HKS BOV, 55k, FNSH, 1owner since in UK (Jap abviously)-wot sort of price should it be up for aswell??? Hi Guy's Hope to fit a new steering wheel soon, is there much involved in getting the old one off. How does it come off, does the horn push just pull up. I'd like to fit a MOMO Commando, what happens to the horn and cruise control's are they easily moved. Any help much appreciated. Cheers Dave. PS Who sells Cheapest Momo Commando.

I Am wiring the afr up. does anybody have the pin numbers on the ecu to save me a load of time tracing the wiring up. 1/ to ecu pressure sensor 2/away from pressure sensor 3/rpm signal 4/ throttle position sensor signal my cars a uk tt auto. thanks Richard

I've just got a new headunit that I'm going to try and install. Anything I need to know? Is it a straight forward procedure? It's a single DIN unit and it's going to go in the slot where the stock Radio/Cassette unit is housed. Can anyone tell me if the electric window switches light up when you switch on the main lights of the car, at the moment my passanger switch doesnt light at all, and my drivers side, the arrow pointing towards the car lights but not the arrow pointing down towards boot. If these are suppossed to light can you replace bulbs or are they a sealed unit and need complete replacing, cheers. 94 uk man TT.

Well gold body work seems to have made a return. There's some nice bronzy/gold shades around with a orangey tinge in it. How do you think such shades would suit the 300ZX??? Geoff.

Just wanted to impart a fact here... Went to order a new set of mats for my Zed`s homecoming from INCHCAPE NISSAN in TELFORD Shropshire. Asked if it was possible to order mats for the Z32 without the chassis number to hand and the geezer behind the counter says "what was that?" "Z32" says I. "What`s that?" says geezer. hi, ive recently bought a 1990 tt, the first couple of weeks it was fine but today the speedo stopped working, then it came back, then went again and so and so forth. any ideas why and where to look? Also the HICAS light came on, the owners manual says to check the fluid, i have done this and it does appear to be overfilled, would this make the light come on? I hope someone can enlighten me!

Hello all :) Just cleaning up my Zed for the midland meet tomorrow :D and decided to clean behind and around the edges of the front fogs cos they're all grotty. Theres one phillips screw on each of them which I thought would release the covers but they both just spin around like they're not attached to anything :confused: Any ideas on how to get these off? Just bought a Z hurray!!!! However on the 2 test drives I had, 1 had the t-bar off and the other I didn't go above 60. Anyway on the drive home I found out that there is a REALLY annoying ding...ding...dnig as soon as I get to 70mph. I'm assuming that this some sort of precautionary limit as no warning lights came on, oil pressure, water temp OK, and the cruise control wouldn't let me cruise at any faster. This was a pain in the ass for a 120 mile journey home. So I did what any normal person would do - stick the radio on louder than the dinging. However being an import the radio would tune any higher than 90mHz on FM so all I could get was frikkin' Terry Wogan. I was qui…

HELP! I have the NISSAN FAST CD and am trying to install it on my 'new' laptop. I loaded it ages ago on my desktop PC no problem at all but, now when I load it on the laptop it doesn't work. :( I'm an absolute PC arse so it's probabally quite straightforward but I'm buggered if I know what I've done wrong. I have copied the whole CD onto the HDD and have redirected it to the appropriate directory 'c:/nissan' but all that happens is that the pallet open with buttons for 'FAST System', Alternative Parts Info', Parts Master' and 'Quit'. Got my JWT chipped ecu from lack300 (cheers Tony) and am thinking about getting a boost controller to go with rather than use boost jets. I only want to run about 13psi to give a bit of a safety margin. Being twin turbo how is it connected to the wastegates cos obviously there's 2 . Do you join them up by some pipe and run them to the controller's solenoid or what? I'm confusing myself just thinkin about it.

Hey lads, Just got back from dover in my 300zx!! and its awsome! it took me 7half hours due to traffic around birmingham!. Its absolutly immaculate throughout - I dont think i could have asked for a nicer example. Its got 18' volks racing split rims on it, veilside ex system, aftermarket skirts and mirrors - Oh and its been lowered. Their are no engine mods apart from this "HKS boost valve controller" The jap importer said that who ever set it up in japan had made a good job of it and what ever happens dont touch it!!! Great site you folks have here. Just got a 1990 300ZX for myself here in the USA. Great car. I work at a dealership and it was traded in. Only 25,000 miles on it in 13 years! I had to buy it. It's burgundy no turbo 2 seater. (Sorry if thats not the right terminology, I'm new) I've been waiting for a "cream puff" sports car to come through for years. Anyway, the car is perfect except for the front. The guy drove on the highway and got a lot of rock chips. Should I paint the front of the car or leave it for the sake of being original? hi i have the above named boost contoller. i understand that it is a bit ancient but it is all i can afford. anyway, i have never fiddled with it since i bought the car (it came with the car). i have no idea on how it shoukd be setup. i have had a look at the website for the unit but i am not educated enough to understand a word it is saying. can anyone help me set it up so i can get above average boost. i don`t mind travelling and paying A LITTLE for the time or any help over the forum would be appreciated. cheers guys. rav
