If anyone is in a hurry for a part for their Z try U-Save Auto . Most parts takes around 3 weeks from Japan but this company have bits flown in every week. You pay a slight premium for this service but if you are really stuick it's worth it. I needed a new wiring loom and delivery would have been 1st May at the earliest through normal routes. These guys will have one on Monday and I only phoned them yesterday. They also deal with seconds hand parts. Might be worth putting in the links section.

I had my stero up and running for a few months it is 18" sub, longmill 2 channel 900 watt amp and a panasonic head unit Fair enough 2 days a go i was driving and had it on quite loud and the the bass turned to farts (techie term) and it looked like a power drain So i thought it could be the amp replaced it and no difference ( but got a pulse noise every 2 seconds like some sort of feedback?) so i replaced the sub no different i checked most of the wiring seems ok? the bass works up to a certain point then just starts farting and it is not near its limits. it was working for months! what could it be. the car seems to be charging a…

The nerve of some people.....I wouldnt of minded if it was a 911 trying it on - but a f**king hairdresser mobile! He came blatting past me on the M56 yesterday doing about 110 mph so I caught up to him and glued myself to his bumper - bastard wouldnt get out of the way though until we joined the M53 and I passed him on the indside of a corner on the slip road doing about 85 with quite a lot of arse twitching:D I pulled off (oooer!) at the next junction and hairdresser man drove past giving me daggers - like its my fault his cars too slow:D some people......

I have spent countless hours reading articles about what are common problem and failures on the Z.... I have also noticed that as time goes by the same questions are raised again and again.... I am not sure if this has been done before but how about creating the definitive top 10 most common problems. When the list has been created and agreed, perhaps a guide could be written on how to resolve such issues and then maybe this could be uploaded to the FAQ section on this website... What do you guys reckon? If this has been done before then sorry to waste anyones time.... B.

Is there an easy way to replace the injectors, or does the manifold have to come off?

Having finally made the decision to lash out on another set of wheels for my zed, I have becoming really dispondant! vistiting web sites and wheel shops to no avail! The vast range of styles and finishes is a nightmare, but what has really got me confused is the tyre issue, if any one can help me I will really appreciate it. The wheels I presently have were fitted in Japan and are deep dish 17" jobs 9" wide rears with 8" fromts wearing 265 x 40x 17" and 235x 45 x 17" I replaced the tyres less than 1000 miles ago and have been very happy with the look and ride. The rears were previously 255 and the move to 265 made the rear view of them awsome! they ac…

Well, today I thought I was just going to meet AndyP to borrow his spare set of Alloys - but when I arrived we discovered my Z had sprung a leak! :( The lower rad hose was split - and I thought I was stuffed! But thanks to the resourcefulness of Andy, my Z made it home under her own power, and not on the back of a low loader! Not only did Andy have a spare lower Rad hose, but he also took the time to fit it! Due to the location of the bottom Jubilee clip removal of the hose was not easy - but Andy managed it. He also topped it up with some Anti Freeze that he bought for his own Z! What a top bloke!! :D I can't thank Andy enough for the impromptu h…

Hi, I have investigated in getting my stereo sounds upgraded for some plans in the pipe works, and it has been said that the door speakers need to be upgraded. So does anyone know how to get to these speakers, (I have had a look, and does it involve removing the whole door panel?) and also, to save me taking the lot off twice, what size are these speakers, they look 4" looking at the cover in the door, but can never be sure. Cheers Daz:confused:

If some of you rememeber I had something at the back of the engine go about 6 weeks back and steam everywhere. Cars been in garage since till I could afford to sort it out. I thought it was one of the little water pipes at the back. Anyway, towed it to local garage (bramford engineering in ipswich) so they could have a look at it. They reckon there is a little pressure thing at back of engine block.. thin metal plug around where the little pipes are (above the turbos) and that this has rusted through and that's where the steam burst though. Does anyone know what this thing is ? They are saying they will need to take engine out or gearbox, clutch o…

I'm after a set of Skyline calipers and some big new disks to go with them. What is the biggest you can fit to R33/R34 calipers with 18" wheels and where from? I've seen some prices for Skyline disks and they seem to be seriously expensive so who does them cheap? I just got a set of stock Z rear disks from 3G for a good price but they don't list anything for the Skyline on their site.

Err...I checked my water two days ago (I normally check it every couple of weeks) and it had gone right down and every time I topped it up (must have taken a couple of pints!) bubbles of air came to the surface and the level depleted again! It did eventually top up and I took it for a spin, checked again and it was still at the correct level. But I looked yesterday and it had gone right down again....ARSE! Should I be fearing the worst here guys? D'oh! :( :( :( :(
