Cam belt was done 28 k ago. When its ticking over warm at 700rpm its as steady as a rock but I hear this faint noise at a low frequency that can only be described as like you know what. I think it is maybe a sticky patch or something on the cam belt because it is slow enough repeating to be coming from the cam belt once per revolution around the cams and crank etc. Anybody heard anything similar? I'd hate for it to be the noise before the bang bang bit when the belt breaks. And what is the easiest cover to get off to take a good look at the cam belt condition?

I have a few questions I want to ask! 1. My clutch is slipping (When I put my foot down the car just revs but doesn't go anywhere), what parts need changing? 2.Where can I find clear taillights for my Z and a center panel(the one where the 300zx writing lights up)? 3.the panel above the taillights that says (nissan twinturbo) on it is broken & needs changing! Where can I find one of them? 4.Are the standard turbos on the Z T28 's? Thank You for your help

Chaps/Chapesses, As I rolled to a stop in traffic on the M20 this evening, I was rather disconcerted to find that the clutch would not disengage, causing embarassing stalling ... Upon restart, normal service was resumed and I managed to drive cautiously home. However, I thought I'd try holding the clutch in once home and all of a sudden, it's gone again! This time, it won't come back! A quick look under the hood reveals no clutch fluid in the resevoir, and a small puddle under the car ... so something am broke! Question is: From searching it would seem that the slave cylinder is a common point of failure; how do I diagnose ... I understand…

A couple weeks ago went to Jeffs, not for any work, just while there did Conzult,no probs except lazy O2 sensor, anyway,to me it sounded a tad noisy, had a small hollow knock ,but then alot of zeds do,but to me it sounded higher and in genral not that smooth, anyway couple days later started car, went for run and at low speed it was uneven, choppy, you could just feel it coming through the whole car,but at over 2000rpm all ok and still performs realy well, but,in the back of me mind i knew it was not all well,so today shot up to Jeffs, conzult, turns out that No6 piston low compression,80psi dry test+100psi wet,all other pistons reading around 145psi,the Conzult when doing the indiv…

Mine is pretty shot and causes a vibration almost identical to propshaft bearing. My question is I need to go to Cambridge this weekend (from London) and is that bush something that could cause real problems if it gets any worse--like wheel flying off or something? Not expecting anyone to say "oh yeah, that'll be fine" just a rough idea of "dodgyness of driving like it" cos I don't wanna catch the rip-off train. Thanks......

Driving from my Hotel in Shipley to Bradford this morning I saw a great big FOR SALE sign in the front window of a nice purple car by the side of the road. Unfortunately it was a... shhhh... R33 Skyline GTR... I tried looking away, but I couldn't help myself.... I've got to go back that way this avo to head up to Newcastle.... should I stop for a look...? It's an S reg - how much is one of those roughly? (obv. no idea of mileage as but it looked in v. good condition) Help me - I love my Zed but I love Skyline's too!! Someone think of a reason why I should or shouldn't stop!!

Right, ive thought ive had a leak in me air system and it seems to be the gasket on the front of the intake before pressure is made. Its around part 16523-M on the below page; http://www.courtesyparts.com/z32/oe_turbo-hw.html The leak seems to come out round the top side of the gasket. I tightened up one of the bolts a bit but cant see how its physically possible by anything other than a shrew to get at the other bolt round the top of the pipe, this is trying to get at it from under the car. Is it possible that if that bolt is loose it will be causing the leak or is the gasket nackered? Is that a common problem? Pressurising the system from the MAS, air…

Black 17'' Split rims, good tyres Aftermarket rear exhust, not loud or drain pipe size. Uk clocks 12 month MOT Plus usual stuff like cd, t roof etc VERY NICE inside and out. Hi Guys Anyone fitted an autometer mechanical water temp gauge. If so where do you fit the sender cos it has a 1/2"NPT male connector. Do I need to replace the top radiator pipe with a stainless steel pipe and have a boss welded on it or is there another place to put it. There is only 6ft of capillary tube connected to the meter and it is quite a run to get back from this position. It is also difficult to keep it away from extra heat that could affect the gauge. Any ideas  Cheers, Dean.

Ive driven his a few times b4 i got my tt, and to be honest i thought nothing could be quicker, its sound and feel are awesome. We went from 40, then almost a stand still then from 100, so a good measure. result; from 40 to 80 = same, standstill to 150 = same ish to 80 after 80 i was off, i gained about six car lengths ahead, couldnt believe it im still in awe, then again from 100 i was off again, up to 140 this…
