Hi, Looking for some information about the Rim Edge Protectors that a number of Tyre Manufacturers add to the outer sidewall (Toyo, etc..). I am thinking about S03s. The Bridgestone S02s use to have this protector, but does the replacement S03? I think I remember an old post hinting that it may have been dropped? Appreciate any information about the S03. Also about alternatives, as I think I will need this extra help (narrow road parking, etc...). Thanks, Geoff

Having just removed one of my calipers to locate a suspect leak it was found in the lower brake pipe. I have a pipe bending kit, however I notice Goodridge make a Brake line kit, presumably these are stainless overbraid. Might be worth finishing the job properly as I have new disks and pads to go on and a caliper rebuild is on the way. Anyone using these or know where best to get them from. Alternatively any other manufacturers do these for the Zed, cost e.t.c. Cheers Andrew

My car has a poblem revving over about 6000rpm. It pulls hard at low revs then at about 5k it loses a lot of go. Other than that and a nackered clutch (replacement soon to arrive from smithy:) ) she's running nice and smoooooth.. Ive replaced fuel pump, fuel pressure regulator, fuel filter and have tried wiring pump straight to 12v to check pump controller. Also today checked fuel pressure with new gauge and it seems ok. Also changed spark plugs (in hind site they might not be brilliant, ill get one out later and check the code) changed ptu cleaned throttle body connector and mas connector. Checked voltages on CAS. Checked ignition timing and changed cambel…

Hi Guy's Anybody have any idea how much this will cost??. To fit high back wing like Macca's car has, i believe this also requires a tail gate skin. Also Front bumber has a crack on the lower right hand side, it has split upwards about 3 inches but is all there. And the left hand side of bumber has a scrape on it where it caught the garage door. So it's basically a tail gate skin, high rise rear spoiler and a repair to the front bumper. Then sprayed to match the rest of the Car, Silver. Any info much appreciated. Cheers Dave.

Mt beast has been running like a 2 stroke diesel tractor recently when warm and being very reluctant to accelerate and jerking. Very embarassing when you get into a race with a Almera on a motorway from 50mph in fifth and you lose! I've done the usual (checked tps, cleaned throttle bodies and temp shitch) but short of changing the plugs I am lost as to what is the cause. Oh yeah it's only on the right hand bank as you're sitting in the car as well. Ivan (very frustrated with lawnmowers!)

I have a Cobra 7928 Cat 1 alarm fitted that I have had upgraded to close the windows and throw the central locking through the 'blipper'. The other day I went to open the door and as it opened I realised that the alarm was still on and that the door should heve been locked! After a little bit of fiddleing I realised that although all the components appeared to be working, and making the right noises, the lock wasn't, after a couple of minutes of lock/unlock via the key in the lock and using the internal lever everything seems to be working again and the door locks with the 'blipper' again. So the moral of this story is, check that your 'full closure' alarm …

hi sorry to bother everyone but i am really stressed at the moment. i have just recently had some bodywork done to my car quite radical infact but it looks amazing. i was washing my car today and i noticed that the part of the kit that was blended in to the body of the car has cracked. its only been two weeks. i`m worried that if i take me car back to the guy that did the work he might turn around and ask me to pay for for the repair. as far as i understand it should neer happened so there must be a problem in the way he did the job or something along those lines. can anyone give me advice as i cant afford to pay for any repairs. cheers rav:confused:

Hello there, Ive travelled across from the Nissan Primera Owners Club looking for a bit of help...... A friend of mine has wangled his way into having a UK spec 300ZX for the weekend for a test drive.... anyway, he took it to a friend of his who started beating one off when he saw that at the end of the VIN Plate it had written 32R... or R32, according to him, its a special edition 300zx with the Skyline engine fitted and he should bite the salesmans hand off to buy it.... Does anyone know if he is correct about the Special Model.... or is he talking poo or does anyone know where I can find out if it is indeed true. Thanks for any help you can provide.…

Fitted a RPS segmented flywheel and 6 puck sport clutch today with help from my mate Elmo who may only be a junior member and not very bright but he's ok at lifting heavy weights :D There is no chatter, no problems pulling away with the lighened flywheel and the pedal feels almost stock so I would recomend it to anyone who is unsure of which clutch to get because you dont want to ruin the driveability of your car. My air conditioning compressor is 'ucked. Anyone changed it, that can advise me on the procedure. I know I won't be able to 'charge' it myself but if I can change it myself I'll only need to pay for the 'charging'. It's not really bothered me up till now but it's March and no doubt we'll be in for another of those sweltering hot summers in scotland. One other thing, the online manual, great, except the I have to go through an almighty rigmorole to get it to print out on an A4 format. I'm old, I can only read paper instructions, anyone know an easy way to print it out.

I have only had the Z for about a 4 days and on the first £30 pounds it gave me 140 miles on Optimax rurally. Is that about average. The car has got an after market exhaust amd thats the only engine mod apart from the BOV's but they shouldnt affect consumtion. What are people getting on average. Ray

I have been trying to send an email and I keep on getting the following message returned. Is this an auto reply or a real mailer-daemon error? "Hi. This is the mailer-daemon. I'm afraid I wasn't able to deliver your message to the following addresses. This is a permanent error; I've given up. Sorry it didn't work out." There is also a load of header information. The message seems a bit of a piss take if you ask me. Cos

The cigarette lighter does not work in me (imported) zed - a search of the forum quickly revealed a translation of the interior fuse box and instructions how to check the lighter out. The result is, its fixed so I can now try out my sat. nav. system. Moral... Where does the oil come out if you over fill it. I ask because I over filled it slightly when I did a change yesterday, not by much, and I have been keeping an eye on the oil pressure and it hasnt gone too high but is higer than what it should be for the RPM im doing. I know there is a valve that opens when its over full and the oil is released, but where does it come out? The exhaust, on the floor? I am planning to take some oil out when I have time, maybe Monday or Tuesday. Stuart

Guys, I need help and advise on 19" wheels plz!!! Someone I know is selling some 19" OZ Antares. 8x19 Fronts 8.5x19 Rears They have 235/35/19 on fronts and 265/30/19 rubber on rear. PCD is 114.3 x 5 and the Offset is 50mm. Now the questions are: Will they directly go on my Z? If not, will they fit with the Spacers? and if they can fit with the spacers, what size spacers do i need and would i need to buy extended studs aswell? He lives very far from me so it will be extremely difficult to try them on before buying so i will really appreciate your input to this matter because it will help me decide whether or not i want those wheels …

Not zed related but a warning anyway, did a favour for a business buddy today whilst he was having a meeting with a relative of his who had arrived in a poorly Vauxhall Astra. Basically poor idle (Mmm.... sound familiar) poor throttle response and increase in petrol cosumption. The car had been looked over by a kwik fit centre in London who had advised her that it required either new points, clean out the carb or both! This is an M registered 1.6 Ecotek engine no points and fuel injection!!!! Jeeeeeez and these people change brakes on customers cars! Basic service, Oil, filters, plugs and tb clean soon had it purring nicely, and the killer the part…
