  1. Just wondering if anyone is up for a meet and drive to the anniversary bash in conventry on 19th? I'm in Basildon area but obviously anyone going from the south east area is welcome to meet up and take a nice steady cruise up the M1, will sort out a place and time if anyone shows interest.

  3. Looks like i'll be returning to the fold. Just won the Yellow Zed from ebay this morning and should be going down to get it on Saturday. Don't know if i'm crazy about the colour but seems in canny nick and colours can always be changed down the line. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/121371804044?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649 I know i'm taking a huge gamble by buying it without seeing it first but as long as the guy hasn't lied about anything on his listing then it should be a good buy. Won this on eBay and it's a 50th Nissan Anniversary grill badge so I have another 25 years to go before I can put it on my Z lol I wonder who will last the longest the Z which will be 46 years old or me at 78!

A few years ago a guy on here fitted a Mitsubishi GTO Spoiler to his 300zx. I remember quite liking the way it looked. Anyone got any pics as i can't find the thread? Peter

I'm about to recomission my Z ready for this years use lol, when I drove it back after being painted the further I drove the more it felt like clutch slip. It was about a 12 mile journey and by the time I got to my estate the revs were shooting up and the car really wasn't moving very much! Anyway roll forwards a couple of months and I finally got round to checking the oil level today the oil is clear with no burning smell, if anything it looks over-full as it's on all the dipstick even the hot part when the oil is cold. I do have a manual conversion to go in the car but struggling for time before some meets and shows this month so was hoping for an easy fix to …

As I can't do much at the moment (broken arm lol) been playing on ebay and ended up buying yet more wheels for my zed, They need refurbished so will change the colour. They are silver( even though they look gold) I was thinking gold or bronze... What does anyone think? They are going to be for road tyres, the cheap wheels on it now will have the r888's for track use. As they are all 8.5j. The wheels... The car.... Opinions please, want to get them done in time for the Coventry event

I was wondering if anyone has one for sale or even to borrow please????? I need to try and find the reason my Z keeps stalling and only producing 6-7 psi of boost with No safety boost system on the car....... Guessing huge boost leak somewhere.............. Cheers....... Russ

  11. My Zed has been tucked up in the garage for the past year as I've had other priorties (saving for a house) so couldn't justify keeping two cars on the road. It's having an MOT done this afternoon so I'll have it back on the road for the summer while I decide what to do with it (keep it/sell it/spend money on it etc...). Can't wait to drive it again!

I took the day off to day and drove to a engineering place 45mile round trip I emailed them a few days before to see if they could make a load of braces like the one I have thinking it would be very cheap to made a load up and sell on for cost to you guys .the shop wanted £25 each to make copys of the one I have I would then have to buy longer bolts to bolt to car pack them up and post costs so would have been over £30 each so I know you wouldn't pay that shame its as the change in pedal feel is night an day they work very well. sorry chaps I did try. here is a pic of the one I use on my car

Hi all As many of you are aware I have been fitting (truing to fit) my new brembo kit evo 8 ones. Thanks to dan and a few others yesterday I managed to get off my crappy stiff bolts. Dans trick with a blow torch and mould grips for a rounded seized nut come off in seconds. Now I have bled the brakes with a one man bleeder kit that supposedly stops air going into the system. I waited until the clear tube on the kit was free of any air bubbles before tightening up the bleed screws I also worked from drivers side inner to outer then same on passenger side. With everything done up and resevoir cap back on I started the engine. Push the brake peda…

  14. Well it's been under a cover for the past 18 months since I bought it but the red shorty is going back on the road tomorrow. Insurance sorted with Footman James - 5000 miles a year, all mods declared including coilovers, personal use plus commuting: £263 quid(!) Started it up for the first time in a few months yesterday and ran perfectly, fixed all the loose bodywork, just the horn to wire in tonight and it's ready to go! Just hope the plates arrive in time tonight! Excited! :hyper: I'm spending a couple of weekends on panel alignment, fitting things, then off to visit peach for a bit of TLC in the next couple of weeks :)

The heat shield on my zed has just been removed for my re-spray but as I think putting it back on will look pants I don't really want to. Whats the effects on the paint if I leave it off or can it be replaced with new or something better ?

Hi all Fitting my brembos and am at the stage where I connect my new braided hoses and detach the old one. Can someone clarify where I conect too. Seems to me like there is only one place which is where the thin pipe meets the thick pipe on the drivers side its up and to the front of the car inline with the bottom of the suspension spring. Is this correct or am I wrong.? Thanks

I got another set of clocks yesterday with nearly identical milage as my car as my odometer doesn't work and was going to put a converter on these and replace the lot. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NISSAN-SPEEDO-CONVERTER-DELIMITER-PULSAR-SKYLINE-300ZX-/370221451404?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item5632eb088c http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NISSAN-300ZX-PULSAR-SKYLINE-SPEEDO-CONVERTER-DELIMITER-/120446038718?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item1c0b24b2be Secondly the mph speedo faces on the bay for a uk spec car, has anyone changes these over. ht…

Hi guys, been hunting for coilovers for a while, esp seeings as one of Bilstien's gave up the ghost. Anyways as we all know the r32 coilovers kit or can be fitted, who has done this? I believe the top mount has to be modified? I got these super, super cheap. Fronts are Cusco and the rears are Bridgestone, like I said I got these cheap. Downside is that one of the rears is missing one of the locking rings, what information do I need to get off them to order another and where would sell that kinda thing? The rears come with helper springs, should I use these or not?

  22. Hi guy's and girls....... I have been having a few issues with stalling when coming off the gas and slowing for a junction or roundabout...... rev's drop too low and she stalls..... Being an auto this can be a bit dicey with getting into neutral, starting her and having no power steering whilst doing it....... lol Upon investigation today on the good old 't-internet'....... I learned that I have been........ erm......... well.......... stooooooopid by all accounts...... After reading a piece about not fitting dump valves or BOV's that vent to atmosphere..... I realised that I fitted my recirc valves....... but forgot to connect the vacuum pipes to them..... Cou…

  24. Hi, Have recently developed an intermittent misfire on 'low revs' (around 1500 - 2000 mainly) and this when going 'light' on accelerator. If I floor it (or just have a bit of heavy right foot), then there is no misfire at all. I also get a bit of 'splutter' and the odd 'light back fire' when going off accelerator and decelerate (again this mainly happen when revs pass around 1500 - 2000). Car is a manual NA. Spent a bit of time looking into this today, and have determined that it is the 'left bank' (even cylinders) that has the misfire (can hear clearly that it is in left exhaust - right sounds perfect). Cleaned out injector, coil pack and ECU temp sensor connec…

Hi just reading the Haines manual for my car, a 1989 single turbo 2+2 zx, and they mention that there were 3 models, the sf, the gl and the gl-l model. What's the differences between these models. Regards. Jas
