Hi Guys! I need some specific advice, I have run a red single 5 amp cable from the front fog light switch to the off side reverse light. On removing the pod that holds the fog light switch there are 6-8 smaller wires in this plug! One thread says use 17 & 18? (That's two wires & I only have one!) Is 17 & 18 +tive & -tive? Therefore do I need to wire an earth from 17 or 18? What do I do? At the rear light there are two wires, Green & Black. I'm I right in that my Red wire will replace the Green (live) & leave the Black (earth) ? Do I need to get an inline fuse? Sorry it's long winded for what some theads on this matter makes it s…

Following a rebuilt engine from a small company with in house engineering cnc machining, heads and turbo rebuilding facility. Car was collected by the owner from said builder and around 60 miles later the following was discovered after an engine noise was heard and seem to be getting worse, the noise was semi metallic with a scrapping noise in time with engine speed. Culprit below. It was caught under the crank sprocket. Real worry is the "rebuilt" engine water pump was not replaced, did not bode well for the rest of the rebuild, however the engine had not been damaged. Jeff TT

The resullts of little or non oil, long story but the end result of a mistake made by an apprentice most likely at oil change time:glare: Heavy knocking and no power, was transported to Zedworld by " the other garage" to see what the situation was, soon as it was run it was clear internal damage had occurred, so whip it out of the car and on to the engine stand for closer inspection. During the strip down it was found one turbo almost to tight to turn, once the sump was off the amount of side ways movement in no 6 bearing was huge!! and well the rest are well mincemeat!!! Jeff

Evening chaps, does anyone know, if you wanted to fit 3 point belts in the back of a series one, are the provisions there for it? Or would you have to created a mount for the top one?

So, the only problem on my car is a leaky hose (I hope) The cars stood for 7 years so the rubber pipes are all cracked and weak. So silicone hoses for the win! Only issue ive got is that all the companys (sfs, samco etal) only list the big radiator hoses. I need them all. Any ideas? Ebay lists a set from china but that means waiting 3 /4 weeks. Also My car is nasp, it may be turbo one day. Are the hoses the same (apart from the turbo coolant lines)

Hey all, Having a look round my engine bay I noticed that a cable was unplugged, after a bit of research I found out it was the E.C.U. Water Temperature Sensor. I plugged this back in as I thought it may have just fallen out but smoke started coming out the exhaust along with a horrible smell. I left it running for a few minutes hoping it would clear but it didn't, so I unplugged it and everything returned to normal. Anyone have any idea what's going on? Stefan

I've recently bought a good 300zx breaker to scavenge parts off as required, but stupidly I've locked myself out this morning. I need to break in, there is no option of using a key or remote locking. I don't want to break a window, but I'm happy to force a lock. Can someone PM me a way to break in, can I simply force a lock with a large screwdriver or is there an even easier way? Thanks...
