Hi all, I'm in the middle of trying to import a Z and am a bit confused about the chassis numbers used in JDM cars. My understanding was that the NA cars start "GZ" and the TTs start "GCZ", but I've just seen a GCZ chassis number which doesn't have a boost gauge on the speedo. Has somebody made a mistake with the details, or am I wrong about the chassis numbers? Or were TTs ever made without the boost gauge? Thanks for any help, Chris

Are there any members from the Cheltenham area, who are attending the simply Japanese meet in Beaulieu this Sunday, that could possibly bring a front bumper with them for me to collect there? Regards, Joel.

Hi All, My z32 3.0 twin turbo came with a turbo timer (standard) boost controller and air flow controller. Now the chav that owned it before, apart from hitting every kerb he saw had the great idea of setting everything to max!! When I collected the car I set things to half way just to be sure. Runs ok, passed MOT emission cat test today but seems to hold back/hesitate mid rev range when accelerating hard. Any suggestions? or a good person to set up in Essex area?

I've changed some bearing on the rear wheel axel and replaced the hicas with an AMS Hicas delete kit and of course I'm going to need an proper aligment. But for now I just need to know if it's possible to move the rear wheels more towards the rear. It's just a few inches from touching the front of the rear body corner now.

Must be mad. Just looking up service history ahead of visit to Eurospec on Thurs and noticed I bought my first Zed 15 years ago today. 208,000 miles later I'm on my third. If I'd topped the bloody salesman back then, I'm sure I'd be out by now. There are so many people here and in the ZClub who've kept my enthusiasm (and Zeds) going over the years - too many to thank individually but you know who you are so thanks anyway. Apart from that, why do I bother? I still can't find any better looking sports coupe/GT which looks this good, drives so well and had so much load space for when I need it. What don't I like? The mpg is too old-school and it sometimes bugs me t…

OK, trying to put on a momo steering wheel on a 96 na lwb . its had a momo wheel on it when I bought it but it doesn't cancel the indicators as its about 15 mm away from the stalks. So I was told I needed a clock spring, which I got of a 96 na lwb car. It doesn't go together. Is there another clock spring or what as this is getting very frustrating now. please help

Been waiting for inspiration for witty yet unsexist and inoffensive knob gag I could slide in here but just couldn't toss one off. Arrived in the very prettily decorated envelope. Thanks, much appreciated. Oh wait, memory stirs, here's one from the 1977 University of Surrey Rag Mag:

Hi, Does anyone know how the clip circled in red on the oem oil cooler line mounts? It appears like it might mount close to the condenser line somehow but not exactly sure. Thanks for the help. If any one has a photo they can share of how this clip is supposed to mount that would be extremely helpful. Thank you.

During TOTB I seemed to be struggling for power, with these symptoms do you think its fuel pump? could it be anything else? Symptoms Idle and reving while not in gear is ok, boosting in first and second seemed ok apart from a bit of back fire now and then but not overly noticeable. When in 3rd 4th and MAINLY 5th at high rpm and high boost the car just felt like it was hitting a limiter without being near the redline. Engine made a spluttering noise like miss firing while in 5th gear trying to get my top speed on the 1km. When I came back to the pit lane I noticed the fuel pump was whining a lot, I had not notice it do this before apart from when it primes itself…

Hi. Thought I'd change the rad coolant as the water was rusty and had bits in. I also put some summer antifreeze as well. I'm not entirely sure I've done it correctly so I thought I'd post on here just to be sure. I undone one of the lower pipes going to the rad underneath the car and let the water drain out. Also I left the rad cap off . I then ran a hose through the pipe and rad to remove any crap then I tightened the lower pipe and 'refilled with 50% antifreeze and water. I Just wondering if I've done it correctly? Should I check the water for a couple of days?

After weeks of looking for a new Zed, finally fond one. In fact I wanted to buy this one when it was for sale a month or so ago but hadn't agreed finances with the better half. Luckily it didn't sell so the guy but it up for sale again so off I went to see it. It is an automatic, the first I have ever owned so a little strange to drive. Picked it up in London on Friday evening and drove it back without any problems (other than the radio being temperamental of what station it wanted to play. That stereo has been replaced with my old one so I can use / charge my iPhone without extra leads everywhere. It is very clean inside and out with no rust …

Okay guys I've got a twin turbo manual that just came to me today , I bought it knowing the first 2 are missing , I've pulled coilpack and plugs and checked both to be working fine , I've ran the engine and unplugged the 2 suspect and no change. I've done a compression test bearing in mind that this is cold I didn't drop no oil down the cylinders 1: 116 2:116 3:125 4:150 5:150 6:120. There's fuel on the plugs when I pulled them so fuel is being dumped in ... Strange
