I have just had the car back after a little dent has been fixed and painted. When I asked last week before the car went in people said yes, polish it to give it protection. Should I do that? Clean as normal and polish? Should I put some Autoglym clear resin top coat on? Or leave it. When I had my old escort repainted they said don't wash it for a few weeks, but when I asked last week on another thread Leonardo said no polish it. I'm not sure what to do now, and it looks like it's going to be a nice day for it. Any more advice?

After several disscussions and searches i have decided that the main problem with my Z (Blowing/cracked? manifold) is going to require removal of my engine or some other way of gaining better access to the exhaust manifolds :( I have read on this forum that there are a few ways of removing/lowering? the engine in order to get to the problem. one way mentioned was to lower the engine by dropping the front suspension subframe (sounds easiest) and engine together. Do you guys reckon this is my best and easiest option to get to the manifold ? I think i may be able to get to the bottom 3 nuts on the manifold from under the car with engine in, however the other 3 loo…

Been out for a drive (or sail!) today... Passed a silver Z in my silver Z. Common as muck eh? I was descending the west side of the big hill on the A58, between Ripponden and Littleborough, didn't have time to see much - whoever it was had just come out of the corner and I was pondering whether to brake or not, so we passed at about 150mph. :D Twas right near the pub and the sharp bend with a drop straight off it. Saw another parked in Todmorden or maybe Bacup, red, parked outside a car sales place. Anyone?

I am getting quite sad with this but you know how it is- a zed look look look look!! White zed heading out from the Sainsbury's roundabout towards the M40 or Gaydon, with some kind of kit. I was behind, trying to get a look at the car beyond a blue van trundling along. That spooky Leamington roundabout that had Leamington's three zed drivers going round it all at the same time. Unfortunately only one was in their zed at the time

Just a thought - but can someone describe the process for getting a custom designed bit of bodywork made? I know Luke and others are always bringing out new bits, but what can I do if I have an idea that no-one seems to have made yet?

Hi, I have heard that uprated anti roll bars makes the Zed handle great, but in general, they give you better cornering but you lose the feeling of when the car is going to lose it!

I have an Alpine TVA-T017 incar TV in my 1990 JSpec NA Auto import. The TV works and is hooked up to aerials along the windscreens, but gets no TV reception because I believe the UK and Japan work on different systems. However, someone mentioned I might be able to upload a reprogramming module by IR (does anyone know anything about this). Optionally I could use the TV as a monitor for Consult. Anybody done anything like that? Thanks, Rory

Does anyone know if you can use a skyline gearbox to add a gear to the Z? I dont want to lose the cruising ability but i want a closer 'box so i want an extra gear. i know it isnt the same thing but they do it with the vauxhall 6-speed from the calibra turbo (with some relatively simple mods) so is it possible? anyone done it? any other box's i can use? or can i have a gear added to the standard box? Dont know if this has been discussed before but i cant find it on here by searching. I just keep getting stuff about speedo's. any help/advice appreciated. :)

I've finally picked up my first Z and I'm going to put my stereo in this morning. Under the hole where the head unit goes is a mesh grill with Bose written on it. There is nothing behind it and it's a bit scratched and looks tatty so what is there normally? Can I put a box with spring loaded flip top in there like on my old S13? The sides of the whole seems to narrow at the bottom so will this fit. If so, where can I get one. Thanks. Al

 Does anybody know of 2 control units (Boost Controller, Turbo Timer) that will fit into the standard CD player hole but that will fit into one of the Nissan storage compartments with a flap on the front as Luke at Z Centre sells (ZC-ROC) so I can conceal the fact that I have them in there, only the Thick T**TS around by me will think they are some kind of stereo equipment and will probably break into my car and nick them (Outta Sight Outta mind). I have seen the Blitz ID Boost controller and Turbo Timer and they look Wicked side by side in the exact Standard CD player gap, is it possible to fit them into one of these compartments does anyone know ??? or any o…

My work colleague has been piping up that he's seen a zed in Chadwell Heath. He's noticed a web site sticker on it, which he thinks is our one. He also believes the car to be Silver. Sorry for the fuzzy description, but he's totally not into cars, but this one caught his eye. And next time I'me round his fixing his PC, we could arrange a mini meet. :duffer:

Am not getting any power to my LHS Headlight fuse. Can the individual section with Horn, RHS, and LHS Headlight be pulled from the front of the fuse box? Have tried taking out the white slidy thing , pulled back the clip, but it won't budge. How are the wires attached at the back? I'm worried it I pull to hard I'll feck it up. Cheers, Matt.

Dark grey Zed spotted on the M6 J26 south bound slip road about 12:45 today. Looked like a J-spec. Didn't see which way it went as I was going on to the M6 in the other direction.

Yellow beast (not sure it was stock yellow, seemed too intense), trick front, trick big spoiler, I -think- other body bits. About 2130 I think, I was on my way back from Tesco. ;) Didn't really see because I was trying to work out why the Audi in front was braking to a stop on an empty road (and for same reason didn't flash). I was in my silver surfer!
