hi jeff.. seems like my power steering has started to play up for no reason, the fluid seems fine, but then im not sure what level it should be. piccy attatched. when driving it seems fine and sometimes it seems very heavy to steer. not had any leaks or problems before yesterday with the steering. so this is a new one. i would check the sensor and solenoid if i knew : a- what they looked like and B: where they were!! lol basically any help would be good before i pull me hair out.. i have got the hicas diagnostic sheet from ttnet and im going to try that but the ecu reports code 55 and i had it checked by datascan at the ross on wye meet the o…

Got some Roxie Heart HIDs but again - no instructions. Wheres a good place to mount the ballast? box? Does the neg wire goto the neg wire from the feed to the light as its a spade connector - not a bullet connector. The plug that goes into the ballast box - which way does it plug in as there is a plastic nib on the top AND the bottom so it can go either way.?? and I REALLY dont want to pop lights :)

I bought a complete twin suspension form someone who didn't need it anymore. There was a diff equiped with it that was rather harsh in use, and the owner wasn't interrested in it. So I opened it and it appeared to be a cusco 2way diff, now I'm wondering if this would be a good upgrade over the std visco diff. Car will be used for hard driving, but must still be usable for some regular driving. Now my question is; should I sell this diff and keep a stock twin diff or would this be a waste of such a unique 'found'? Regards, Rutger Ps; car will be full-on build with a pair of gt2530's

I HATE NISSANS why do they make the headlight so goddamned hard to remove. My old poopra headlamp could be removed in 3 mins. I have just spent the best part of nearly an hour and half in the rain trying to get the poxy thing out. Basically - headlight has a hole in it and I have a replacement. so I thought - I'd fit my HID's at same time. A, cant work out exactly how easy it is to seperate glass - done a search and found a hairdrier blown on glass sealant may help. B, cant work out how the F**K to undo the 2 bolts at the back of the left headlamp to remove it. Ive removed the maf and y-pipe, removed the front dummy fog light, so can now und…

Hello people, this'll be my third 300 but the others have been a 300zx twin, a non turbo auto and now i'm on a non turbo manual and havin lots of problems. First off i got a misfire on the left bank and i think its the ptu, any other ideas? Its defo not the head though. All the coil packs are firing had em al out - its cylinder one if that helps. Next my heater matrix has done the ole favourite and blown itself to bits, anyone got one? Also does anyone else have problems with selection in the manuals or excessive clutch fluid use? Mine is chewing through the clutch fluid at the rate of a cylinder a week. Box has lots of selection probs too. If anyone has any advice …

my first problem with my zed oh joy!! starts up from cold no problems, leave her to warm up and after 2 or 3 mins she sounds like she is misfiring, This is sooooo anoying when sat at traffic lights hasnt stalled on me once!! anyone know any solutions replys would be very appreciated!!!!!! thanx

double din head units... can you fit one in the Z? looking on e-bay and they are quite cheap, im guessing you would have to cut :eek: the plastic bar in-between the two? anyone done this? cheers! :)

Somewhat depressed ! The offset of either the calipers or the discs is wrong and it's also the 'wrong' way too. ie it can't be fixed by spacers it's a machining the calipers, the carrier or a different disc offset .... Bummer .... :cry:

OK, so who followed me on A316 yesterday, black with a loud zorst. Looked like it had been taken out of the scrapyard for a test drive, dirty, dents, scratches, and when behind me only one headlight was working and then i thought he must of switched them off cause the other one stoped working aswell, but then he went past me and rears were on, i mean in that minute or so the other front light must av fooked up aswell, it must be a sh1tter, whos is it?? :rofl:

Hi All, Can anyone confirm that UK std alloys are 7.5JJx16ET35 for front and 8.5JJx16ET42 for the rear? (JSpec would be 7.5JJx16ET35 all round). So if that is correct: changing to 8x18 front would be OK with about 40mm offset changing to 9x18 rear would be OK with about 35mm offset This is calculated using a link from Smithy on a similar thread (http://marksink.com/tire_wheel_offset/offset.html). Thats what my clock keeps saying every now and then. Do I have the fastest N/A??? :dance: NO - I got a speedo problem.. :rolleyes: Driving along all okay - suddenly my clock jumps alll the way past the 180MPH mark and just sits there. Steering goes very heavy. Then a couple of seconds later ... it's all back to normal. Seems to be worse after rain or wet roads???? Any advice would be gratefully received...

I think this has probably been discussed at great length many times. I'd like to know more about the electronic controled seatbelt recoil system. What is it exactly supposed to do and how does it work? Why does it break down and play havoc with the system causing the seat belts to either go slack, lock or fail to recoil? Is there either a way of disabling this or cleaning up contacts to make it work as it should?

1. i use bp ultimate alot is this okay compared to optimax? 2) my aftermarket boost gauge is measures in cmr and it boosts at 0.3-0.4 dpending on how it feels. is this normal because after my new cambelt and new battery it feels slower. 3. could my cars ecu be mapped for higher octane petrol?

Right I need your help. The Car: 300ZX N/A. It has uprated injectors (Turbo ones). Its running a safc too. Has a earth kit on there too. The Start of the Probelm. Had this car just over a week and one of the injectors split. Fuel leacking every where. They had only been fitted about a month ago and the cause of the spilt look to be just down to bad fitting but not sure. So took things apart to replace injector. Mission one compleated. The real Probelm Put every thing back on, went to start car and there is nothing!!!! The car will turn over just will not fire. I have spark, fuel and compression. The safc has rest its self but im sure the car…

Took my ZX on a track day. Good fun! On the way home, found the radio was dead and the air con had switched off. Radio would not turn on but air con worked fine when readjusted – until I switch the ignition off, then all goes back to zero. Question 1: Are these two things related or is it just coincidence? Question 2: If it is a fuse, is it in the main box and, to save me hunting, can any one please described which one it is? If not a fuse, what's causing this? Ta! Btw, the site does not seem to like my Mac's Safari browser tonight. had to swap to Firefox... never had this before...
