I performed an oil change myself at the weekend on my TT. Changed filter with an OEM part and used Magnatec 10-40w. Have checked the dipstick and the right level of oil is in the car. When i fire her up the pressure initially rises to between 4 and 6. after driving the car, the pressure drops then when i pull up and idle the engine, the needle drops to below the 2 mark. Any ideas on what i need to do or is this ok??

What pistons and conrods would be sufficient for a big build, i'm doing this bit by bit and need to look at replacing these soon the rest can follow later. I want to build the car upto 700+bhp but need pistons and conrods which can take the stick. what are Wiseco pistons and eagle rods like. They must be Cheaper than Jun, Greddy etc. for a reason are they amble for this kind of build. Reason why i don't just get Jun is because i'm on a budget and by the time you take everything into consideration this soon mounts up.

I have been looking around at 300s for a while now with a view to buying one in the near future. If possible I would prefer a UK car however all of the ones I have seen advertised, without exception, are imports. How easy is it to find a UK car? or is it better to buy a cheaper lower milage jap import? Cheers :)

All Is anyone running an Apexi Oil Pressure gauge? I fitted the greddy sandwich plate on saturday so all I need now is the Oil Pressure sender unit that never came with the gauge.....(Ebay) I am guessing that I'm gonna have to contact an Apexi retailer as I'm gonna need all the correct wiring too.... Just thought I'd check if anyone has a spare sender unit/wiring.....

Right Just got back from about a 100 mile fast motorway drive, Zed was behaving well until I got home, Whilst Parking it in the garage I could here Boiling and the temp started to rize slightly on the gauge so I put the heaters up full let it run for thirty secs or so then turned it off. I could hear the boiling type sound for about a further 10 mins and there are no obvoius signs of a leak although it was far to hot to check the levels. Any thoughts people?

the story is this... I have a very small leak from a hose at the back of the engine, very minor. Now today, the car had a hammering, and while on the motorway crusing nicely at 70mph, the car lost some power, also lost a cylinder. temp gauge was fine, oil was fine. pulled over, car cut out, and steam pissed from the back of the engine. Started the car again after making sure it wasnt a belt etc, and she was hesitent in starting, when she did, she was down a cylinder and knocking from top quite bad. got brought home by RAC started car to drive off the lorry, and it sounded ok, knocking had gone, and back on 6 cylinder, though still has a little miss i…
