Think this has been posted before. I'm wanting to now what set points members are runnng with the Profec B Boost Controller. I am wanting to run low at 12psi and high at 14.5psi. Don't think mines set up right. Sometimes I'm getting, what sounds like the clutch slipping when I cane it. This doesn't happen all the time. Some people and telling me it is definately the clutch and some are saying it's the boost. I know that when you incease the boost, the stock clutch can struggle. Your comments much appreciated. Cheers Steve

i am using these guys to make my set of rims, performance alloys in ireland use them, iwas told to go direct to these to save money. http://www.braid.es/ you can design your own rims steering wheels and they will cut you one offs. the cost is round about 1800 for a set of 3 piece rims at 19/9.5 rear and 19/8.5 fronts. im having my murcielago copies made there along with a matching steering wheel. you can go through performance alloys but they take a percentage. gotta wait till the end of the month as they are currently on holidays.

Everytime you turn lights on the dashboard clock and climate control displaydim down. I dont want this to happen. I cut the green wire with the white stripe on the clock and it is now fine - that doesnt dim down. But the same colour wire going to the climate control doesnt do the same. Anyone know which wire I need to cut?

After having my car off the road for over a year now i decided today's the day to finnish fitting smithy's stainless rad and hard pipe kit + get her ready for an MOT! All was going fine, just bleeding the cooling system of air, when there was a big whoosh and what looked like steam blasting out from the front engine bay area, near the bottom, on the passenger side. I quickly turned the engine off and the "steam" died down and stopped within 5 seconds or so. After a minute i decided to see if i could locate the leak exactly so turned engine back on. It started "steaming" straight away so got down to have a look! Couldn't find the leak, but on the floor was a strang…

  12. The central brake light (in the boot lid) only seems to be working on one side. Is this a conventional bulb (not LEDs) ? Any idea how easy it is to change? I can't see now cos it's dark but I'll probably not be much better in the light! Cheers gents Tim

Hi, i have a blue zed and am getting the front bumper respayed. I've been told that having just the bumper done will result in a noticable difference in colour between the bumper wings and bonnet. Anyone had just a bumper done, is it worth paying extra to get it blended in which will cost a lot more and may look like I've got something to hide???

Hi, I want a turbo timer that, when I get it fitted, will work with my alarm and arm when the engine switches off. I was looking at an HKS timer, but the guy said it isn't designed to do that, but a good auto electrician could wire it in. Is there a timer that is designed for this?

ive not had the Zed on the road for long (new turbos etc) anyway ive noticed when cruising, not using the tubs, which i do alot as there are lots of bends and proper city driving, no where to open her up ive noticed that the oil pressure drops to about 0 comes up when u boot it but driving it nice and slowly it reads 0 this a bad thing?? is this the way NOT to drive a zed? thanks

Evening All I finally got around to doing a compression test on my TT today, 11 years old but doesn't use any oil at all, runs very well and totally smokeless on start up or otherwise. Anyway, on a warm engine cylinders 1,2,3,5 = 120psi 4,6=110psi. I wasn't looking for a particular problem, just doing a check. From a search on here though I see that is below manufacturer specs, although they are all close. Do you think this is more likely to be through using a 16 year old gauge?? :-) If the pistons / rings were all that worn uniformly wouldn't I have oil consumption problems as well? :(

I've been looking at body kits and some of the superb motors other members are knocking about in - and I'm trying to get a reasonable gestimate for the total cost of buying the kit - fitting and respray ( professionally ) say for example I went for: http://www.zcentre.co.uk/bodykits/bodykit1.htm keeping the original black. Whats in the experience of those that have had it done is the cost for start to finish. I worked out approx £1,600 for the bits ... but I get differing results for fitting a respray. I understand you can have the car sprayed as is - or stripped down to shell and done. What have others gone for ?

How can I check what my car's boosting at. It only has it's standard gauge. It's got an IMPUL ECU, so the mapping's been fettled with I guess. Not sure how good these are. Engine is super smooth though, no smoke rattles or anything, so engine appears to be healthy. Just want to keep it that way. Also, does anyone know anything about or run IMPUL ECUs themselves?

I'd been after a 300zx TT for a year or so, but only seriously started looking 6 months ago. I've been reading up on the buyers guides and general advice, and looked at a few motors for sale. to cut a long stroy short, I spotted one on Monday and after a quick test drive and look over, I jumped in with both feet and made an offer. All the common sense and prior advice went out the window ... and low and behold on the way into work this morning it conked out on the motorway. At first it seemed like the accelerator was stuck down ... the turbos seemed to be running by themselves - I had to jab the pedal to get them to drop off. Then with white smoke ou…

:( I bought a powersteering sensor that was said to be for my car..... however when i went to fit it I found that it was about a inch too short.. and at the end of the shaft it was a differant spline.... it was green instead of red... (dont know if that makes any differance) Anyway ... old one back in... and I am now buggered. GRRRRRRR Any thoughts about it? I guess you can say I am shafted. lol.
