PINK ZED Spotted in Exmouth Devon this evening. Carbon (well blackish anyway) bonnet. The wife quite liked it.

On my way back from the Ross-on-Wye meet today, pulled into a service station to fill up with fuel. Car's been running very well. Driving it steadily. Pulled on to the motorway slip road and decided to use the power a bit, 2nd, 3rd 4th, all pulled well. Once I changed to 5th, a nice cloud of smoke came out of the back. It cleared, the oil pressure gauge moved a little and then it was fine. Still holding boost, tried the power again and exhaust was fine. Car was as it was before. Got back home and noticed a small amount of smoke coming from the left hand side back part of the engine between it and the bulkhead. Just checked the car that's now been stood for a few…

Guys, ive got a 2.5" system straight thru and have also had the CATs knocked out. Now i had to have a bung put in each tailpipe to cut out the excessive drone i was getting between 2k-3k RPM. It did the trick but makes it sound a bit sh@t on idle cos u get a weird blowing noise. Now i was thinking about having proper de-cat pipes fitted with Resonators and hopefully then i could remove the bungs from the tailpipes. Has anyone else had this problem and do you know if this would work, suggestions?? Cheers, Dan.

right..... on the way back from JAE the temp guage went from just under halfway straight up to the top in a couple of seconds........then it dropped back down........then few seconds later it went back up again. ive heard the temp guages can be rubbish so i presumed that this was the prob, a dodgy guage. when i got back home i topped up the water just to be on the safe side, and all seemed fine. a couple of days later i parked the car facing downhill and when i came out to the car after an hour or so there was a puddle of water just under the expansion bottle. i presumed that i had just overfilled it plus the fact it was a boiling day, that this is why it had …

I have a squeaky fan belt I think its a bit loose how do I adjust the alternator to tighten it up? Do I have to undo all 3 bolts then tighten the adjuster screw? Or can I just tighten the adjuster screw by itself? Cheerz

hi could anyone tell me if there diff has leaked from the drive shaft coupler because mine seems to be. It only seems to do it when been driven parked in garage its fine but after driven the underbody of car were the driveshaft meets the diff is covered in oil checked all pipes to brakes and Hicas and brake fluid and power stearing fluid not moving. can you replace the oil seals on diff? :rolleyes:

My car has been running slugish and been told to clean the temp sensor! Is the temp sensor the yellow one at the fron of the engine? and whats the best way of cleaning it? Thanks Matt

Guys, Was considering an Apexi boost controller, but i have standard turbs, which i imagine should run at about 9psi and can go to 13psi safely, is that right? Question is is this a worthwhile thing to fit? Dan.

Getting a noise from the front of the engine when car is warming up. It sounds like a piece of card in your bicycle spokes and goes up and down withe engine revs. Strangely if you turn the engine off and restart the noise is gone! Checked fan. Doesn't seem to be rubbing anywhere and noise is difficult to pinpoint as to exact location. Seems to be on left side/front of engine when standing in front of car Any thoughts welcome

Am taking my zed on its first track day at the beggining of September, which I'm pretty sure will finish the current tyres off--what would people recommend as replacements (she's on stock 16" rims)? I'm told that UK cars were originally supplied on Michelins, but I've heard good things about Yokohamas. Also, while I'm getting the wheels off, can anyone recommend an alloy reconditioner, ideally in either London or West Yorkshire? A quick internet and forum search didn't get me anywhere. Cheers, DG.

Hi all, got a slight problem,when i brake water comes out of the front washer jets.Anybody had this as well. Is there some sort of valve in the motors. cheers bubbles

Hey guys just bought myself a zed 91 manwell tt in red 65k on the clock The bodywork isnt very flash few dings and the weather strips are wearing and the silver is coming through! the speedo is still in khm, Plus no SEATBELTS in the back........... anyone know where i can take the car to sort these kind of probs out? Started her up from cold and she was really smooth no rattling, whining or hissing turbos were not noisy, bit of white smoke when i rev'd her up but not blue boost idle -7 and everything semed ok so i smacked down a deposit. :smash: just hope to god she does me proud :rolleyes:

ive got me radiator off and need to take the aircon rad out if i take it out could i leave it out as i dont use my air con and i know it will help with cooling my rad what would i need to do to leave this out thanx in advance

Just wondering if anyone has any idea what could be causing my speedo not to work. This problem has only just started. It happens when i first go to drive the car. The speedo does not work. Then after about a mile it works and will work all day no problem. Or could it be after it has warmed up? I know its not the speed sensor as thats new and the box is new. So what could it be FFS :mad:

My passenger seat will go forwards and backwards but won't recline. Its bolt upright FFS I there any way i can release it a little to put it in a better position cus my missus is fed up of kissin her feet when she gets in LOL. Im checking the switch today but i think its the motor in the rear part of the seat. Are they easy to strip??

Somes ideas?? I can't get over 12psi, I'm thinking of a boost leak but maybe something else...

thinking of removing spoiler from ztt, will it make a difference to the handling?? what do you all think? are they only any use flat out on a track or just cosmetic. cheers in advance si

Ive just fitted a hks spf filter to my tt swb Z.Since then i have Seen a twin filter set up and various other makes.Can any body tell me the advatage or disavantage of this set up please thanks taff.

I just had a cambelt changed on my new 300zx tt swb manual slicktop they charged me £82 each for the idlers because they said they where noisey. And are only avalible from ADL [blueprint] or nissan. ADL out off stock so nissan supplied. total cost £550 this includes all aux belts thermosat .Is this right. water pump was new .tensoiner ok . thanks taff

Does anyone have any idea what the engine weighs complete with tubs and all the fixtures and fittings, have done a search but cant find it ???? :rolleyes:

Hi, I'm currently using Castrol RS 10-60 but my oil pressure is up and down. It sits at a nice 60ish then can drop down to around 20ish (i think its usually when its hot). I'd like it to be a bit more constant as I'm having a boost upgrade. Any ideas lads?? Cheers, Bart..
