I am going to get a boost controller very soon and I'm also considering an ALC. 1 Is it worthwhile getting an ALC? 2 Does this increase the wear and tear on the autobox?

I've noticed in the last few weeks that white reside has been streaking up from the front of the bonnet. Thought I had a coolant leak, until I looked under the bonnet and found no evidence of any residue anywhere... Looked a bit more closely and realised my nose panel wasn't square- the front of the bonnet just caught it as it closed and this had gradually worn away the paint on the top of the nose panel. This exposed the primer, which water was picking up in wet weather and smearing it up the bonnet. Quick application of touch-up paint should sort it out... :D Mark

A sudden fault has developed in my autobox, manifesting as no change from 1st to 2nd, unless the acceleration is very slight (the engine revs out to the limiter otherwise). It may be that 2nd is being missed as kickdown from 3rd also gives a rev out. I get a number 3 error on the autobox selfdiagnostic, meaning a throttle sensor short or loose connection. I have looked at other threads on this and it seems I need to check the voltages on the ECU and autobox controller. Where are they and how do I go about doing that? Do I have to get in from under the car (this is a problem as I don't have stands). Anyone had this problem and fixed it?

I had the car taken to a garage for rear main seal replacement, and obviosly the prop had to come off and be put back on again for this. As soon as I drove out of the garage I had the vibration. Comes in at about 40mph +, felt through the seat, much worse then its cold, calms down when warmed up. Not sure why it failed after being removed and refitted. The Bearing is'nt cheap (about £120 + Labour), so are there ways to check if its the cuprit before I replace it ? I read that sometimes a failed rear gearbox mount can be the problem (gearbox drops slightly, moving prop out of alignment), but presumably this is'nt something that would be affected by hea…

Hello everyone! I'm new on this Board. I'm from Canada montreal! I bought a nissan 300zx 2+2 swapped TT manual 1 month ago. Everything was perfect but 2 days ago on the hayway after a little race, the car started to hesitate. I got out of there and as soon as I pressed the clutch, the engine stalled. Now as soon as I press the gaz, i'm not able to reach more than 0.1 bar and and it's like if my blow off valves was open almost anytime! There's a very big fsssshhhhhhh starting around 1000 rpm and there's no power at all! On neutral the idle play between 100 and 1000 non stop it'S very anoying! Only ECU code that I have is 34 since the biggining…

When cold the gearbox makes some slight whining noises for the first mile or so but then stops. Also the gearbox is slightly noisy when running but stops when I put my foot on the clutch. Could it be something to do with the clutch or worse?

Hi guys I have just got my car back from being serviced at a Nissan dealer the guy who serviced it has a skyline and is a bit of an enthusiast, and recommended i have the work below carried out elsewhere as nissan will charge extortionate sums of cash. basically everything seems to be in order apart from the bushes on the rear subframe since one is leaking. am I correct in saying that instead of replacing the entire subframe (like what nissan want me to do), I can buy a rear subframe bush kit from the likes of say, courtesy and have it fitted at another garage? If I can just replace the bushes on there own, are there any uprated parts that anyone here would su…
