Satdy afternoon, grey zed in Crabbs Cross light's ablaze, thumb's at the window LOL, was just explaining to my, "IT'S JUST A CAR" girlfriend that Zed's are few an far between and saw a black Zed 5 min's later at the top of Bromsgrove road, hahaha, ok so not today are they few an far between. Good looking pair of stock shape motor's though not unlike my own. Call me a pure'ist if you like, but why screw up a beautifull car with wings an "barry bolt on's" like an XR3 or summat.

Hi. I currently own a z32 twin turbo fairlady. I'm pondering about replacing the auto box with a manual, obviously having to fit a flywheel, clutch, master and slave cylinder, pedal box and gear stick + trims. I am a motor technician by trade and unafraid of manual labour! Cost is a slight issue but i really hate P R N D 2 1 !!!! Im certain this has been done before, does anyone have an idea on cost for the project and any other parts that i would require? Any suggestoins are greatly appreciated/ Thanks

Hi guys and girls am looking at selling my skyline soon and am really considering a 300zx! Am just trying to find out some info on them. Already done a search and found the excellent buying guide but could someone tell me what the difference is between a SWB and a normall 300 is? And am i right in thinking that jap imports are called Fairlady z and uk cars are just called 300zx? Does anyone know of any other buying guides or mag features where i could find out more? cheers and excellent forum by the way!

My driver's side window is poorly and having stuck a multimeter on the window amplifier output I reckon it's feeling poorly. :( Anyone got a wiring diagram of the amplifier internals? I might make my own replacement, but I'm not quite sure how to get the one-touch operation... (Will trawl the rest of this and other forums later today) Mark

I went to see the new Dukes of Hazard movie last night. Quite fittingly at a drive in cinema.( Never been to one of those before. Just tune in your radio station to get the sound.) Certainly follows the original show with the same characters but in a modern day America. Loads of sideways action from the old Charger, great fun!!! :D As for Daisy (Jessica Simpson) well worth it! :hyper: Aint going to win no Oscars though!! Andy

I have found that the trip to the Nurburgring has not left the car undamaged. The rear steering arms have got lots of play in them at the wheel end. Can someone describe to me the way the joint works as when I had a look this afternoon I became confused. The joint seems to pivot up and down, which seems reasonable to accomodate the suspension movement, but I cannot work out how the rubbers are all going to fit together - is it some kind of rose jointed affair? I have got side to side play in the wheels at this joint on both sides and I need to work out what I need to fix the problem. The car is undriveable in the wet and not that great in the dry and I am worri…

Just like to give a big thanks to Andy P. and also Samurai Performance in Braintree for finally getting to the bottom of my missfiring problem. Turned out to be two duff coil packs! One was breaking down when the engine got warm. This one was spotted by Samurai and was the worst culprit. Car ran much better but still missed at higher RPM. A morning with Andy and a lot of patience and we found a second dodgy coil! Very unusual. Thanks again to both parties and anyone else on the forum who answered my queries.

After having a new clutch fitted - somebody had not put the cable back in correctly near the gearbox. As i found out by picking up half a ripped wire that had been dragging on the ground. Now, I have no reversing lights - Any idea what I need to wire to where? I think they come on for half a second as you select reverse but then immediately go off. Cheers
