General Discussions - 300ZX Related

hi everyone. i just bought another engine for my zx and it has different turbos to my standard import manual turbos. it say a/r 60 m24 on them. and also have HKS stamped on the exhaust elbows. are they any good? i've also been told that it has nismo 555 injectors fitted. what colour should these be? the engine came with a central20 racing ecu apparentely mapped to these mods. is there anywhere i can get some info about central20 racing?

1)I have a complete seal kit to be fitted to my Brembo calipers and want to know if theres anyway to push the pistons out without connecting them to the car first?? I think this is what i'll have to do but is there a trick so i can do it whilst there off?? AND :D 2)Is there a "how to" on this or any piccys please? I know its a simple job...BUT...beleive me I can fook the easiest of things up :wack: :duffer:

wondered if there was any news in the saw2 pricing and avalibility?i know they are $900 usa, also i asume this will not damage my gearbox? also are they any good? my choice is a;saw2 flappy paddel or b; manual any one any views?

Hi guys can anyone tell me where i can get these painted to look like a chrome finish. doing some tuning work to engine. ideal time to get Re-sprayed. I did get them done years ago by Paul Bailey. who sent them to Sandwich Composites. They did a crap job. Thus the reason i want to get tehm redone. Coming out of B&Q in the Solihull retail park after picking up the last of the lighting needed for the workshop around 2:30ish this afternoon, saw a Red Zed parked up outside (think it had a personalised plate? J something or other!). Anyone on here? :) Don't see many round my way! Leigh.

Hi, I've done a search but can't find the exact info I'm after. Apparently the Z32 TT MAFS should show around .6v at key-on, and around .9v at idle. Can anyone tell me what it should be at 2500rpm under no load please? (or even better, a chart showing all revs & voltages :) )

Couple of questions for those with either a set of Koni shocks and/or Blitz lowering springs: 1. On the rear shocks - which are adjusted my depressing the rod into the cylinder and turning. It shows in the instructions that the rod can be turned up to two complete revolutions for maximum stiffness. Is there a kind of end stop inside which stops you from turning too far? Likewise, can it be unscrewed too far? Just wanted to determine what setting they're currectly at already. 2. I figured out quite quickly which of the Blitz spring were for the front and which were for the back - but there are two things I'm not entirely happy about: i. The rear spring…

Car has been running really well. Then started leaking a bit of oil. Then it started smoking a bit on startup. Wasn't too happy, but carried on driving it, just keeping an eye on things. Smoking got a bit worse (from startup only). Had all the hoses checked and tightened to sort the leak out. On my private test track last week, a V8 Kompressor E class decides it wants a race. So I give it some. Zed initially pulls away from Merc but Merc reels me in. While we were kind of 'giving' it some, I look out of the mirror and see plumes of smoke out of the back. I've got a '93 UK TT with 117k on the clock. What oil should i use...Mobil 1 cause its a performance engine or something a bit thicker cause of the mileage? - and what about additives like Slick 50.

I'm looking at getting a car cover for when I'm away on tour. Anyone recommend a good quality brand or supplier?? Asked for 2 quotes so far from places I've found on the net. So i'm in the process of buy a few tuning goodies and fancied a Greddy center mount Intercooler. I assume you have to run an aftermarket front bumper, or will they fit behind a stock of 99spec one? Andy

I'll be taking my zed to the UK soon for some suspension problems that need sorting. But if my budget will stretch , i'm hoping to have some mods on the bodywork . Just a rough estimate for anyone who's had similar work done. 99 spec front spoiler side skirts removal of stock spoiler, filled and sprayed( plus the pvc panel of course) rear bumper to enclose 5" exhaust. all of the above sprayed and fitted. Would £1,500 to £2000 cover it?

OK for some wierd reason my boost drops from 6.5 to 5 when the car warms up. Every time i try the on board consult it reads 55 i've tried testing it when it looses boost leave the car on then try the test but nothing happens unless i turn the car off then onto just ignition by this times it's re-set itself.... Can anyone tell me why it only looses boost after it gets hot and how i test the ECU on board for code 34 without a laptop??? It can't be the det sensor as Ryan changed it some few months ago i've also check the wiring from the loom to the plug and this is now all fine??? Could it be the wiring back to the ECU or something else? The …

Looking for some advice?Is the oil filter for a TT/UK model the same as a N/a J-Spec?I have a brand new genuine Nissan filter for a TT and would like to use it for my next oil change (soon) on my N/A (94) but need to know if the TT filter fits all blocks before removing the old one? How do I adjust the alternator tension, I've found the bolt but it doesn't seem to do anything!
