Anybody recognise Champions C109 as a valid fit for my 300ZXTT ??????????????? I had to choose this filter without the benefit of a definite reference ...it has Nissan on the box. Old filter on the right new on the left..no really :p Everything seems to line up except those holes are farther out..does it matter.

hi guys just pricing up mods for my Zed, want to get rid of the standard spoiler and go for the perspex skin also want side skirts and new rear bumper, also a respray, Ive been advised to get all this done together??, can anyone give me a rough cost for it all please? Ref the respray I would like it to stay red so is this cheaper or round about the same? thanks Lee

Hi all Still have a rattle from the front of the engine when cold. Turn the engine off then back on and the rattles gone! Anyone had anything similar?

noticed sometimes my boost level pulse at at the top end when accelerating hard, doesnt do it all the time though. would a boost leak cause this? Its only hapends when controller turned upto 1 bar. Boost only hits 0.9bar though and saftey is set at 1.1bar.

My car has gone fookin kookoo! I was driving home from Falkirk last night at around 12.30 and the car started seriously spluttering and hesitating. This has happened once or twice in the past. A couple of times i have just stopped the car, started it again and all is hunky dorey. Last time however, it wouldnt run until i had cleaned all connectors, sensors reset ECU etc.. anyway, i pulled up hoping it would be ok when i re started it but nope! It kept spluttering, revs dropped and it cut out. Engine light flashing on and off. Car would not go above 2000rpm. I tried a good few times but no improvement. I gave some of the connectors a wiggle but that was all i cou…

My Z'ds going to the bodyshop in a few weeks and i'm thinking of getting rid of the standard boot spoiler as it's looking tatty, i like the look of the Z'ds without any boot spoiler. Has anyone done this mod, if so, what do i need to finish the job. Someone said i'd need a perspex strip to go on top of the tail lights? I need to know what's needed so that i've got everything ready for the bodyshop.

ive checked tps with a multimeter it was readin 0.48 ive now adjusted it to 0.45 ive also dissconected battery (to reset ecu) have i done this right and would running tps at 0.48 make a difference with the running of my engine the probs i was having was overfuel consumptoin, stalling on pulling away randomly backfiring (only slighty though) throughout the rev range when driving ive also changed the maf (which i did before resetting the tps) which didnt seem to make much of a difference only made it feel a little more responsive and wasted a tenners worth of fuel in 19 miles so am i on the right tracks so far checking the tps and resetting ecu …

Looks like it is coming from the water pump, does this mean the water pump needs replacing? The alternator belt slipped and pulled at a funny angle on the pulley wheel attached to the pump and then the leak started.

If i junk the cruise and hicas systems, what other things would i need to consider? looking at ripping out both and adding hicas eliminator - will i need to block anything off at pas pump? having a "plan to ditch it" day today! :dance: will it affect any other systems? just about to do another search so may answer my own questions in a minute anyway! :smash:

hi A newbie here hoping to join the ZX club. I'm planning on looking at a car, the seller has said that the steering sometimes goes stiff and heavy. Would this be the steering pump or sensor fault? Also, what's the likely wallet damage on this? ta for any help.

I'm looking at changing my brake discs, pads and lines soon. Been looking on ebay, and have come up with a few options, all of which from the US. They all claim to be Brembo, they are all standard size discs (rotors :rolleyes: ). And they all seem to offer the options of plain, cross-drilled, grooved or drilled and grooved, normally done in-house on a standard Brembo disc. So what do you think, are they worth it? Or is it a case of some cheap disc, in a printed 'Brembo' box? Would 'Brembo' be stamped into the disc? TIA Whoops, LINK!!!!!

Where do I top up the auto oil? I know where the dipstick is but that's as far as I can get!

Anyone got any tips.... I got a Jap ZX TT Auto a few months ago... Lovely motor if a little flicky at the rear.. And she really drinks fuel - i get about 15mpg (with optimax) Are there any ways to increase the economy to make the car a more of a viable everyday drive? Will a new Air-Filter and grounding Kit help? What about a remapped ECU? Any Ideas?? Z man

Guys just to clear it up the Mines ECU that I bought for $150 !!! on ebay was sourced by japan dyno they trade through Ebay in the US but do not have a presence in europe yet. However my company has US employees so I buy, ship it to my buddy's houses and they mule it over when they come to work. Anyways japan dyno get to pour over breaking cars in japan, take off all the trick bits and sell them on, so for example right now they have an HKS piggyback fuel computer for sale etc. You can mail them your target spec and they let you know when they have bits for you, its a wait but they come up with the goods. They sell everything from salvaged turbo timers to, get this, a ful…

took my Z'd to a local air con specialist today, left it with them. 2 hours later i got a call telling me that firstly the car uses R12 (which is correct) and that in order to fill it with the latest stuff they would need to make major modifications costing £200 so that there equipment would fit in order to test the system...holy S**T. I said no thanks so my air con is still blowing warm air. I think the system is empty and that it could either be due to a leak or its never been serviced and the gas has escaped over its lifetime. I need to get it sorted cause its hot as hell in the cockpit!

I've got a vibration through my car which i can feel mostly through the seat so i presume its coming from the rear. It gets worse as i increase speed. My limited knowledge suggests something like the balancing or warped wheel/dodgy tyre. As i've only had the car a week i don't know its true history so i'm only guessing. At high speed it seems to turn into what i can only describe as a simmilar sound to having a sunroof open but that might just be the norm with these cars at high speed being targa top. Any suggestions before i start taking the car apart this weekend?

hi everyone. i just bought another engine for my zx and it has different turbos to my standard import manual turbos. it say a/r 60 m24 on them. and also have HKS stamped on the exhaust elbows. are they any good? i've also been told that it has nismo 555 injectors fitted. what colour should these be? the engine came with a central20 racing ecu apparentely mapped to these mods. is there anywhere i can get some info about central20 racing?

1)I have a complete seal kit to be fitted to my Brembo calipers and want to know if theres anyway to push the pistons out without connecting them to the car first?? I think this is what i'll have to do but is there a trick so i can do it whilst there off?? AND :D 2)Is there a "how to" on this or any piccys please? I know its a simple job...BUT...beleive me I can fook the easiest of things up :wack: :duffer:

wondered if there was any news in the saw2 pricing and avalibility?i know they are $900 usa, also i asume this will not damage my gearbox? also are they any good? my choice is a;saw2 flappy paddel or b; manual any one any views?
