Hi Forum, Thanks for the recent advice re: my 92 JDM TT auto. Due to my long journey's 300+ miles 90-100mph (german autobahns of course) and the posts from the forum my car is now booked in for an autobox oil cooler upgrade while I get my EBC sport disc upgrade done. As I was talking to my mechanic he asked me if I wanted cooler iridium plugs fitted as I am also getting a full main service done (minus belts - they were done last month when water pump gave up - RIP). Transmission oil will be replaced, diff oil too. Given my cars spec are the colder plugs a good idea, what will they do? Will they make Detonation less likely? allow the car to run cooler? Spec:…

I am buzzing big time :dance: Driving back from my girlfriends house I had a blue Supra follow me most the way.....We both pull on a dual carraige way and the Supra with his big zorst starts giving it and looking down at my ZED, thats it I put my foot down and get one cars lengh in front, to my suprise my ZED just carrys on and absoultly kills the Supra. We started to pull up to some lights and the blue Supra turns off hahaha I love my ZED :dance:

Bought in February 2004, attempted to fit today whilst instrument cluster was out and besides a flaw in the carbon it's been cut wrong :mad:. The problem is where the indicator lights are the hole is off center about 3mm higher therefore chopping half the lights out at the bottom. Anyone know where I can get one from (besides ebay.com) Cheers

Hello fellow Z enthusiasts. Ive got a very annoying problem with my 300ZX TT automatic,since I had a replacement auto box fitted (could be coincidental), from cold and until the engine has really warmed up-a couple of miles maybe, the engine revs fluctuate between probably 900rpm to 1500rpm when idling at a junction or traffic lights for instance.Once warmed up the problem dissapears.The car has an Apexi induction and the filter has been cleaned thoroughly.Could this be a problem with a sensor?any help from other members will be greatly appreciated. Non turbo Auto Z have problem with gearlever not moving without lifting rear emergency pin, usually dab on brakes will do this automatically but there has been a failure somewhere, maybe a switch or a fuse. First question where exactly is the switch that controls the gear lever interlock and secondly can I short any wiring to disengage this function as at the moment I dont have a lot of time to crawl around fixing my car. thanks mick

can anyone please advise just bought my first zed and has a bit of a smokey backside. Does not smoke on start up or when driving it (normally or when i boot it) it only does it when it is sitting at traffic lights smokes really bad for about 15 secs then stops any advice would be great.john

Hi guys, got a nice new 300zx Jap import. Its an amazing car but this weird bing bong noise comes on just after 100KPH and its a bit annoying. Is there an easy way to stop this coming on? I plan to fit a converter chip to it so it reads in MPH so maybe this will solve it? I did try a search, but the links to places that tell you anything were dead so would apreciate anyones advice. WHEN I drive and i put my foot down in full load the revs normally go higher than they shud, they go all the way to 6 then back. is this the reason why its not as fast as it shud be? could it be the gearbox or the clutch.

I am in the middle of putting some new springs on the rear of the Z and have just discovered the strange loose feeling is due to the fact that the rear shocker is broke. Does anyone out there have a pair of standard rear dampers I can lay my hands on for a reasonable sum? Cheers Ivan

hi bought my first 300 tt 2+2 a while ago not much done to it apart from a new front bumper fron the Z centre had been fittted (ZC002A) the thing is it scrapes everything fitted new front dampers but it didnt seem to help much. Looked at a lot of zeds and they seeem to ride a lot higher than mine any help would be great. p.s 18" rims fitted

Have the old Z problem of my drivers doorlock spinning without opening the door, I know this is a broken link and I need to remove the outside door handle, but my question is can I remove this handle (two nuts) without pulling all the window gear out and the glass, which looks a nightmare.
