Hey guys, had the car a couple of days now, awesome power! But does anyone know what the Yellow 'HICAS' light means? MIne keeps coming on while driving, then won't go off until i restart the car! Any help appreciated!

A friend is considering having his alloys chromed. Does anyone have any recommendations, preferably in the Hampshire area, but anywhere could be considered at the right price. Thanks

Two days ago, my car stop running while arriving at a stop. Since that no way to start again the car. I've checked the code error and I'm with a code 55. I'e checked the spark plugs and they were wet o I changed them but that mean i've fuel arriving to them. I've checked all connections with coilpack, all looks good. I've tryed a new PTU but still don't want to start. My mechanic said that the ignition is not enought powerfull. What can I do now? Thank you.

Standard looking black z32 300zx near football ground in dundee at 2 30pm today, was despoilered was a few cars back in traffic so didnt get to see much.

i have an aftermarked airfilter on my na z (k&n :wack: ) what i would like to know is there are two ovel shaped air ducting hoses either side of the filter which are remnants of the original airbox. can these be removed or should they be left as to aid airflow. im assuming the old airbox was originally sealed and had to suck through these pipes wereas the k&n is open to air please advise cheers gaz

I need something clearing up on the topic of cats and exhaust restrictions. I have a J spec 91 TT Z so does it have precats on it or not? If not I have heard that it may have restrictors instead to meet the 280HP level for Jap. Finally where the hell are the precats if it has them or restrictors and is it easy to get rid of the buggers? hi guys,wonder if you can help,i was going along the motorway tonight at about 70ish when a red warning light came on it looked like a cup with wavy lines coming out of the top,cat temp maybe? then it lost power so i stopped the car, started it again and then there was no warning lights but it ran very lumpy no power and black smoke was coming out the back all the way home,any ideas, maybe somebody can cheer me up and say its not too bad,sod it i was looking forward to the meet on sunday as well,cheers guys. :headvswal

Whilst messing with the missus's SWB,I noticed it aint' got pre-cats? Now this is a 1989 car,mine was a 1990,thing is mine had pre-cats! So is this because it's a shorty,or because it's an early model?? :confused: Want to sort this as I need to get some de-cat pipes and don't know whether they will fit! :rolleyes: Cheers.

Does anyone know the size of spanner to buy for removing the brake line nuts from the brake master cylinder and does Halfords sell them? Thanks!

what size in length are the front studs i've put my new wheels on and had to put a spacer on 10mm but i only get 2 1/2 turns. i need some longer studs any one know where i can get some

only started happening recently - idles ok when cold (say 1600ish) but after 10 minutes of drive the engine will idle at something stupidly low like 550/600rpm. not lumpy just very low. car runs fine normally on all cyls and boosts fine. the thing i only noticed this evening while waiting at a queue for petrol was that when it started idling so low my boost gauge would start to move from the left to about half-left :confused: confirmed by all 3 gauges (stock, aftermarket and controller). give the throttle a tap and engine would idle at 800ish for a sec (boost gauge would go to centre as usual under a bit of gas, then drop to left as normal, but then creep to half-left aga…

Bit if a random question this one so I apologise, I have just bought a load of Red silicone vacuum hoses from Smithy (top bloke) Problem is I dont know which hoses are vacuum hoses :( can anyone help?

after tearing my seat on my combats :mad: ive got to get it sorted,so got a price today of £65 to renew 1 bolster in matching leather from a company called "Car Connections". This sounds a good price so after the work ill post the pics up. ps the guy reckons he,s done a few zeds with custom leather so ill get prices when it goes in next week

any help appreciated,z32 92 import;intermittent fault. o.k for few days then bad for a few.over idles hot/cold to about 2000rpm.uses more juice than normal also.when this happens i get a loud clicking/ticking from a small unit under bonnet-drivers side by brake servo.this unit has a few air pipes to/from it plus electrical connection.1 of the pipes ends up at another unit bolted to engine side(also drivers side). as i say its not all the time but when it plays up there is a noticable difference in how she runs,and most annoying to say the least. she is a 1992 z32 import non-turbo,love the car so could do with any ideas on what could cause this. thanks,,chumley. :…

Turning out of woodend Avenue earlier today and giving it a bit of sideways action down the road in the dry. Sounded great.

How would four of these be on my Zed (import, NA)? I know lots of people might say 225 isn't big enough but it's what Nissan put on in the first place and wider tyres / wheels cost more and I'm tight! Would they be ok? Cheers!
