I have got a new steering wheel and a HICAS boss for my ZX TT... I'm a bit of a novice and was wondering if there was one of those guides on how to remove the wheel and fit the boss and steering wheel... is it an easy job? Z Man

Hi, I've registered on behalf of a friend who has major problem with his car for a number of years. He's not technical in the slightest and needs to find someone who can make sense of his car. I'm more of a Chevy V8 man so need to do my homework on all this computer/turbo stuff. The car is a Japanese imported 93 Twin Turbo, it has a Veilside system installed uprated turbos, intercooler etc and a Ferrari F40 style body kit fitted before it arrived in the UK. In its' day it has won awards and was supposed to be good for 500 horses. About 4 years ago he had the engine and auto transmission rebuilt at a cost of about £14000 (quite scary from my perspective!). A…

mine seen to be starting to dump around 5000revs and the when i do put my foot on the clutch its just a little swish noise, is that right, also seems to be holding back around this time

Ok, so the engine I'm collecting next week is a low mileage example from an Auto TT. From what I know, the cams are slightly different giving the engine a slightly different powerband to compensate for the different transmissions. What other differences are there and what gains would I notice? Are the power figures much different?

Hi guys, I've already got the hard pipe turbo hoses for my Z but no silcone joning hose to attach them with!!! :rant: Could someone please tell the the internal Diameters of all 4 hoses so I can order some silcone pipe and join them to my engine and if possible both ends cause I know I need Reducers in order for them to fit??!!! :confused: Many thanks!!! , Jon ;)

hello everybody, just bought a 1990 tt on standard wheels i would like to ask you what would be the correct offset/size/rim etc for 17 or 18 inch wheels as most of the web sites dont seem to list the 300zx? for example 5x114pcd et35 the car is on totally standard springs etc need to get bigger wheels and tyres cos i have been informed that the car has got a "variable" boost systeminstalled and pushes out approx 400BHP!! and the wheels look very very small in my opinion thanks in advance :bow: :bow: simon

hi just changed my heater matrix, oh the joy! it is getting warm but not as hot as it used to. any ideas, have i forgotten something or does it need bleeding, if so whats the best way to do that? cheers Richard

Does anyone know of any difference between a uk and j-spec water temp sensor (ecu)? I could only get a uk one and car won't run for sh*t with it fitted!

Right then - I've decided to fit some addtional gauges to my NA and have decided upon Oil temp, Oil pressure and Water Temp. I will be looking at locating them in the spare DIN slot beneath the head unit. My question is: what are the advantages/disadvantages of both capillary and electrical gauges???? I'm erring towards electrical ones at the mo as I perceive these to be easier to fit. All comments, critcisms, observations, personal recommendations and experience welcomed................................

Anyone know what the biggest alloy size i can fit without any arch mods? With a 40mm drop all round! Hoping to fit at least 20's!

One of my recircs is making a "woo" kind of noise now and then so i'm guessing it's past it's used by. Anyway, i was thinking of just removing them so is it safe to do so? i'm assuming it is as i'm only running 1 bar or so. Will i end up with fuelling probs, i.e. running too rich? If it's ok to remove them what's the best way of going about it? cheers.

My 'def' window isn't working and is a real pain, i have to keep wiping the windscreen while driving. Everythings working but won't blow up to the windscreen, just the centre and by the feet (changing between 'def' and 'auto'). Maybe just a flap not opening or something. Before i start ripping into it can anybody help, had same problem ?

Good evening guys! thought someone whos done this may be able to help!! Just bought all bits for plenum pull, oil coming out between gearbox and sump so gona try pcv's before changing seal! got quite far in two hours, Disconnected fuel rail :headvswal , balance bar, coil packs, injectors, vac hoses, throttle bodies :headvswal , acc. cable, now taken out the 8 fixings that hold down the plenum! This is where im stuck, i thought id be able to lift the plenum now or at least move it, anyone know what ive got left to do before i can lift it, ive posted pics of progress, any help appreciated!!!

my fuel tank pipe ,the pipe that runs from where you top up at filling stations to the tank was rusty and had holes in spilling out fuel,Now about to put replacment pipe on, i noticed it had different fule cap as this was of a non turbo, and the cap has no holes in and tightens right up, where as my origanal cap makes a clicking noise sujesting its not pressureised . would this be true , oh yes and my car is a UK TT. Ok fitted the Autobox oil cooler from the Z Centre today and it was a bit more work than I anticipated, the bracket that is supplied with it aint great and placed the engine oil cooler touching the metal to rubber join on the oil feed so i didnt like that, I decided to fit the larger engine oil cooler in front of the gearbox cooler which is opposite to the way the instructions said to fit as there was no chaffing with this fitment , will this be a problem? On one of my oil feed pipes for the engine has a metal restrictor in it, is this supposed to be there? Does it matter which pipe from the gearbox gets fitted to what end on the cooler itself ( feed and return ) A…
