Right then - I've decided to fit some addtional gauges to my NA and have decided upon Oil temp, Oil pressure and Water Temp. I will be looking at locating them in the spare DIN slot beneath the head unit. My question is: what are the advantages/disadvantages of both capillary and electrical gauges???? I'm erring towards electrical ones at the mo as I perceive these to be easier to fit. All comments, critcisms, observations, personal recommendations and experience welcomed................................

One of my recircs is making a "woo" kind of noise now and then so i'm guessing it's past it's used by. Anyway, i was thinking of just removing them so is it safe to do so? i'm assuming it is as i'm only running 1 bar or so. Will i end up with fuelling probs, i.e. running too rich? If it's ok to remove them what's the best way of going about it? cheers.

My 'def' window isn't working and is a real pain, i have to keep wiping the windscreen while driving. Everythings working but won't blow up to the windscreen, just the centre and by the feet (changing between 'def' and 'auto'). Maybe just a flap not opening or something. Before i start ripping into it can anybody help, had same problem ?

my fuel tank pipe ,the pipe that runs from where you top up at filling stations to the tank was rusty and had holes in spilling out fuel,Now about to put replacment pipe on, i noticed it had different fule cap as this was of a non turbo, and the cap has no holes in and tightens right up, where as my origanal cap makes a clicking noise sujesting its not pressureised . would this be true , oh yes and my car is a UK TT. MANY THANKS :)

Ok fitted the Autobox oil cooler from the Z Centre today and it was a bit more work than I anticipated, the bracket that is supplied with it aint great and placed the engine oil cooler touching the metal to rubber join on the oil feed so i didnt like that, I decided to fit the larger engine oil cooler in front of the gearbox cooler which is opposite to the way the instructions said to fit as there was no chaffing with this fitment , will this be a problem? On one of my oil feed pipes for the engine has a metal restrictor in it, is this supposed to be there? Does it matter which pipe from the gearbox gets fitted to what end on the cooler itself ( feed and return ) A…

Right guys could do with some help, before I rip the car to bits looking for this problem........I've done a search (loads of pages.....can't find the answer) Mine is a Jspec N/A and up until recently when I selected high beam then low beam remained on and high beam came on, but now low beam goes out(not good for HID's), reading the online circuit drawing implies that on/off is correct but it never used to do this and it's driving me nuts anyone had this happen to them, am I right in thinking the low and high beam should be on when the high beam switch is on. cheers Pete :headvswal

Ever since I put on a different set of alloys on my Zed the steering wheel vibrates above 50mph. The alloys were from another zed so they are the correct fittment. I went to get the front tyres balanced today and to my astonishment both front tyres have severe wear (smooth as hell) on the inside wall. The rear are fine. I got them balanced but the vibration is still there and now even when I brake I can feel more steering wheel juddering. So annoying its unbelievable. I was going to get it tracked but thought I would ask you guys first for your opinions. Any ideas what this can be ? Thanking you all in advance.

I know this is a very common problem on these cars but I have read so many conflicting posts saying it can be sorted on stock suspension, so here is my problem: I have recently sold my stock alloys with tyres to a member from the SXOC site, I took loads of pictures and gave a very detailed description etc of them (As I have been stung on tis before) on the Z and he was very happy with the condition and photo,s. I took them off the Z about half an hour before he arrived from Bristol, only to find the front tyres had very un even wear on the very inside edge, it was obviously to late to email him and I did'nt have his number but I reduced the sale value of the wheels accord…
