What a fookin pain in the a55 to line the lines on the belt to the marks on the sprockets, without the bastid thing violently turning :headvswal but finally did it all brilliantly lined up etc tensioner is right in indicating that the old belt was stretched to its maximum. Put the lightweight pulley on took it out of 5th hand turned the pulley a few times to make sure it went around smoothly and no knocking noises or anything, absolutly spot on well chuffed   but even though the belt lines all lined up with appropriate markings, even after I turned the belt around 4 full turns the lines on the belt did'nt match up with the markings again :wack: so it mak…

Thought you might like to see my ZX chasing a mate's 911 Turbo on a little track in France. I've got 340bhp (Swiss Nissan main agent tuning) and the carbon-kevlar brake pads (from Smithy  ). For track use, the brakes definitely need more cooling – they were almost on fire at times... If you click to the right of the video on the blue text "more from this user", you'll see what I normally used on track, though that got written off going over the edge on a mountain pass last October. The replacement is going on the road in March: Lotus Exige Cup with 265bhp supercharger. Can hardly wait! >clicky

Hi there, has anyone had problems with scratches on the drivers window, more at the door pillar side? Is there a cleaning strip inside the door that takes moisture and the likes off and it may have some grit in it causing it to score the glass everytime it goes up and down?It started off as one but they're multiplying and getting more annoying :headvswal Any help would be great as i need to try and fix this before it gets the window in a right mess Thanks Ron

Hello all again. Some of you may know me from ages ago - my names chopper (mike), and i used to have a rather quick sexy black NA manual @400BHP with NOS etc. Well after a GTR32 (366BHP) UKd1 winner, a honda ITR (supercharged) street race winner, a Matt Black 330hp Scooby (got nicked two weeks ago) im back to Zeds again. And i must say i have well missed them !! I got a TT auto the other day from a friend of mine, that has a suspect head gasket fault :( It wont start, and when he tried to start it, fumes came out of the rad cap (suggesting HG) then it would nt start again. ALso on checking the oil and water - both were empty  ALso the …

Well i've finally done it. After a year of yearning i've gone and bought myself a Z! She's a 1991 twin turbo automatic on 90,000miles (Uk car). And yes it lives up to every expectation. Being a Z newbie I really need some advise from you legendary Zed heads. I got a good deal on the car as its on 90,000 and the turbo's have never been replaced. I was therefore aware that they would prob need replacing in the near future but the car was boosting just as it should. The only apparent defect was she was very "sludgy" for the first 2 mins or so from cold start. Today however, the car's only boosting to 7psi which I understand to be 'safety boost'. So guys, do i nee…
