Right today I lined up the dots etc undone the 27mm bolt got the 3 legged puller on the pulley and its started to come off but its only moving a bit at a time, I thought it would just come a bit at first then just come off in one go. But I get the feeling it will be a slow process to come off right the way to the end a bit at a time. Is this normal or has anybody elses just made a cracking noise and slipped right off easy??

My 91 J spec auto seems to be leaking from the rear crank seal as it has all the signs... engine oil dripping from the bellhousing ( about a inch long small pool every night ) and all other culprits looking dry. How much should I be looking to pay for this work as the box will need to come out, remember that as I live in penzance I will be using a local garage that does good work as travelling to the specialists is a bit far .

I haven't got the Z to a rolling road yet but I am curious as to potential BHP. I appreciate I have not done that much to mine but I have done the following and want to know what other people have done and what confirmed BHP they have achieved. 12 PSI Chipped (very similar to JWT) Apexi Filter Custom exhaust (no de-cat) Stage 2 turbo's That's about all I can think of that can affect performance...

Ok guys after I've had my steering sorted in march I'm going to be looking at tuning the engine. What I really want is a more responsive engine. I'm not particularly looking for higher rpm limits or more power. I'm just going to concentrate on response. I'm expecting to see things in here like improved air intakes and dump valves and maybe a lightened and balanced fly wheel? I've also been told that I can get the engine chipped to make it more responsive? What I really want to know is WHY will these things work and WHAT will each one do? Also I'd like to know if anyone has any advice on which one will give the biggest improvements offset against money, what orde…

ive got a bit of a flat spot when accelorating. problem is sometimes it doesnt seem to be their, for instance i was just cruising along at about 40 i pulled out to overtake and and it seemed to take an age to get going once id pulled past i slowed down to checkout what had just happened floored it again and everything seemed normal. bare in mind this is only the second time its been on the road since early november and since then ive swapped my K&N filter for an apexi. could it just need a tune up?

Does the TT have this brake drum on the back for the handbrake, or does it go direct to each caliper. Or is that n/a? Im a bit confused  If not is it just a case of tightening the 10mm nut on the handbrake lever??

Hi-ya Guy's an Gal's, As my Zed is my only means of transport, using it all through this sh**ty weather has took it's toll on the body work. Being a UK car, which are apparently renown for rot, the rear wheel arche on the o/s is showing sign's of bubble'ing rite at the back by the bumper. Took it to what i consider to be the best body shop in the area, an they are not sure if they can get the rear arche's at all. Rather than grind out then CLAG 'em' i would prefer to have them replaced. Can i get rear arches from anywhere on here??? before that disgusting brown sh**t starts to run all down my nice white paint!!!

I have a 1992 Jap Import N/A withe tweed interior, I am replacing the brake discs all round I have measured them and they are 280mm diameter by 25mm thickness. I have had Brembo discs before which I sold to another member who when he received them said that that they wher to big for his 92 N/A and that he needs to buy T/T calipers, after I spoke to supplier he said that all Z32s past late 90s onwards used the same size disc as the T/T??? But the member said that the supplier was wrong and he definatly needed T/T calipers to fit the discs???? This has all been sorted out now buy the member buyng T/T calipers but I dont want to have the same problem with my new discs, so co…

Can anyone help. As some of you know, my cambelt gave up @ 50mph. Fortunately she's running again with no damage to valves :hyper: .The only problem is that when i go to accelerate the car pauses for a couple of seconds and the revs drop from 900 to 500 rpm and the boost goes from -6 to 0 . My oil pressure goes from between 2 and 4 but no higher, whats the story with it, it's starting to wreck my head

OK I posted a previous thread regaring my car wasnt starting once it heated up. The conclusion from that was a f**cked PTU. So I have replaced it with a second hand series 1 from Nad. I started it for the first time in about 4 weeks which was a bit stuttery and chuggy. But when she heated up she was running perfectly. I thought it was great until I stopped at the petrol station, filled her up with optimax just to find that she wasnt going to start. So I put the alarm off and on to cancel that as a problem, but when I restarted again, with a bit of throttle it came on. So I drove home and intentionally stopped the engine while nipping in to test it when I got out. Wo…

As many of you may know, my bro-in-law has a black UK auto which I've been to a couple of meets in. The car has been off the road SORNed for a while and has recently been started up again. Problem is there is now zero drive from the auto box in drive, reverse, 1st or 2nd gears :( The car was previously driving well and had no problems at all. We have followed the auto box self diagnostics but cannot get any flashing lights from the diag :( Have checked the ATF fluid (hot and cold) and all looks good here as well. Has anyone got any suggestions as to what we might try next? CheerZ Steve :)
