Is it the temperature sender on the pipe that’s rubbish or the temperature gauge or both? The reason being I was going to put some more gauges (three) in my car and if the temperature gauge is ok I was just going to put a better sender sensor in.

Hi, Can anyone tell me the standard exhaust bore, it looked about 2" - 21/2"from what i remember but not at the car at the moment. Getting an exhaust made in a few weeks, what size would you recommend, dont want it too loud or too look ridiculous. Cheers

Had another run in with an M3 today. I must say that he did a better job than the last M3 driver. He had a 1/4 mile head start but I gained on him up to over a ton but at 140, he gained a bit of ground. I eventually shifted to 5th and reached 150, expecting to fall behind, but started to gain on him at a good rate. I was very close at 160, but by then I was passing an on-ramp which is well used by the old bill, also I didn't feel confident about my OSF tyre so I braked. He braked also and we both turned off at the same junction. We probably only covered just over a mile at high speed. Nice to know that the Zed's still got it! Oh - I had a big welder, gas bottle and trol…

Aint it great being a Zed owner and having to repair oil leaks....again. Cam seals have been changed about 8k miles (3 years ago). The oil looked like it was coming from the front crank seal area but could have come from higher up. I have a new crank seal, what kinda job is it getting the gear off the crank, is it better to gently heat the gear or is it a PITA job. As can be seen in the pics cars in bits anyway. Cheers John Crisp

(Will get a proper window bloke to do the job) No leaks form either of them. Dont really wanna pay 4 times the price of the screen for 2 poxy seals! Ta very much

I have high level rear spoiler that was fitted by zedworld, whilst the previous owner had the car, and since i've owned the zed ( 14 months) , i have been thinking of removing it. Does anyone know how they were fitted ? I get the idea they are glued on, but does anyone know for sure ? As i want to remove with the minimum damage to the tailgate .

I have put some vortex R wheelmania 19" alloys on my Zed. The problem is that its sitting up in the air now. There must be at least a 50mm gap over the back wheels. Can anybody who has got 19s on and lowered their car please reply and attach a pic......just to give me an idea what 19s look like on a lowered Zed please. Im just hoping they are not too big!!!

I attended a track day over the weekend, best day i've ever had. And the zed didnt totally fail so it was a sucessful day as well. But what croft has highlighted are some problems, in the stopping and cornering department. So my question is, best rubber for them, what are my options for brakes? And are there any outstanding suspension setups. I'm not working on an exact budget, more looking at the most improvment for the money spent. I've been to a local shop that have quoted me £460 for drilled and grooved disks front and rear and EBC red stuff pads, good plan or not? Thanks guys Chris

Having probs with my current autobox.. (gears slipping).. I am having the oil & filter swapped out to see if this helps .. I have bought a back-up auto box this weekend as it was priced too good to miss.. (just in case) My Question is ... having read about an uprated (or Fast Road) autobox.. What would be involved in improving the spare box I have... time, effort components, costs etc.. I have set my mind on buying the SAWv2 "shift at will" system for they auto rather than converting to manuall.. as basically I spend 20+hrs a week in my manual beemer and "auto" at the weekend is a novel change... but i still want some control as and when.…

Ever since my car came back from Nisstek (R.I.P) the speedo has only worked as and when the mood takes it. In addition the readings on the speedo are always out, i.e would show 30 when you were actually doing 40 (very dangerous lol). The car had the engine rebuilt and a manual box conversion. Anyone like to stab a guess at what the problem could be? Jonno.
