Just like to say i'm pretty chuffed today as the Z passed it's MOT today with no problems at all. Had an advisory for all 4 tyres (whoops :( ) as they were just above legal limit but all else was cool. I do have a question about my emissions though. On my print-out it says my CO level was 0.00 and my HC level was 16! I done a search on the forum and this seems stupidly low. I haven't done the 'trick' with the fuel damper either (although i was ready, just in case). Hey peeps, just wondering if this is going to be a viable project. Am I looking at mega money for that kind of hp at the wheels?? The mods I have so far are: Sus induction Decat with divorced downpipes, longlife s/steel system. Lightened crank pulley Avc-R boost controller Before I fitted the boosty it was 280 at the wheels and I'm now running 0.85 bar which feels quite nippy. Looking at Smithy's website I've got a list of things I'm guessing I would need to acheive the above figure safely 555cc injectors, intercoolers,engine rebulid kit for reliabilty, head bolt kit, big brake kit, 6 puck clutch, lightened flywheel, turbos of some kind. I understand that we should not have our Zeds MOT'd on the 'rolling road' because it might damage the LSD. Is this actually likely to happen or is it only theoretical? Is it a must that they take the car out with their decelerometer device or just preferable? Discuss..........:D

Well this is my first manual Zed and its a different animal all together from the Auto dribble box! DRIFTING!!! Fook me! Its so easy and readable! Can pull out of roads and go anywhere I want sideways, exactly where I tell it to! :bow: Roundabouts! These are no longer an anoying obstruction but my new playground! :D I'm liking this choosing your own gear milarky you may have guessed!

Had my first kill last night in the new Zed. Scooby WRX thing on a duel carrageway. Both cam off the roundabout im behind him by a cars length and we both floor it in 2nd. By the time I was half way through third gear I was over a cars length in front! :D :smash: :nana2: Scooby driver was well upset his "Ferrari eater" had been whooped! :D

A patch of lacquer & some paint has come off the bonnet of our dark grey zed. It's about the size of a dinner plate! Not sure why....it had been parked under a tree for many months without being used so.... If anyone has a theory as to why it happened as well as advice about how to fix it (will we need to get the whole bonnet resprayed, cost, where to do this etc) I'd be very grateful! Thanks.

Well... after FunkySi's post about chrome door handles, I bit the bullet and got hold of some... 99% sure that they'll fit... see pics! Anyway, may be a spare set if anyone's interested (once I know they fit!) Rich

when i put my headlights on as normal the dash doesn't light up but I get full beam on :confused: when i put the lower fog lights on, the main beam will come on, and so will the dash lights, but as soon as i turn the lower fogs off, the headlights switch to main beam :confused: i have checked the main beam switch (pushed it back and forth) but it doesn't make any difference. any ideas?

I have a really daft question, i have a 1993 import ZX, are the indiactors meant to automatically cancell? Or not? Seems mad that a car of its specification (when it was new) wouldnt have indicators that automatically cancelled after completing a turn, but then again it is from Riceland

Ive finally got round to having the funding to revive the Z. Ive had the cursed water pump replaced and the car has sat for a good couple of months. I started it today with no problem and it ran smoothly at a normal idle. Trouble is, there is a knocking coming from the rear of the engine which I don't like the sound of. Im hoping that its just because its not had a good run or service for a while. Trouble is, it did overheat for a while before I had the pump diagnosed. It was turned off straight away and not driven but I have heard bad stories about this. Any thoughts? Please try not to se[ress me too much though!

as per title, any1 know what colours were available for this series? iv had a browse through andyps site to no avail, though i could have had a 'womans look'! all i could find is that 'Off-white 'Pearl' color is dropped. Future 'pearls' are more of a semi metallic white'.
