General Discussions - 300ZX Related

Never had a car fail on this issue before, but my local MOT station have failed a 300ZX because the dip beam is "switched off" whilst the hi-beam is on... what is the easiset solution to remedy this and also do we have any MOT testers on the club who can confirm whether this is an MOT failure issue!! hello all, i bought a os giken twin disc for my z32 TT. And i tryed to install it today but it won't fit :( There is 8 hole on my cranckshaft and the flywheel from the os giken as only 7 :( :( :( Also, i call the guy in the USA that sold it to me and he confirm it was install on his 300zx TT 1995. My Z is from 1992, is there any difference beween the crankshaft? :headvswal :headvswal :headvswal :headvswal

I have changed the fuse. What fun that was. My hazzards and High beams work but no indicatirs. any suggestions. Thanks Konrad

Chaps and Chapettes As some will know im looking for another zed. Looking at the market there dont seem to be that many that match the criteria that ive set myself. Im not in a huge rush to get one, i just want to be as sensible as possible and find the illusive "right one" Im going to guess that a few peeps, exculding the traders, have found a car in jap land and imported it themself, loosely speaking. Well Ive done it again. Got myself a 1992 series 2 UK Twin Turbo Manual in metalic black with black leather :hyper: De-spoilered, 17" split rims, lambo rear lights, millenium steering wheel, mongoose exhaust, touch screen kenwood stereo. Chuffed to bits with it!

was bored and was doing some reading on here, apparantly a lot of the zeds are running in safety mode without people knowing also read that cars with seperate boost valves/controllers dont get knocked into safety mode (also has been chipped) can anyone confirm this before i do an ecu check, i cant see how my car can be because it feels scary when thrashed

hi guys! just got my engine running on sat after a year off the road my dilema is:- i have binned viscous fan and aircon/ back up elec fan, buy want to get zed on the road asap! 1)do i buy a koyo or haste rad and stick an elec fan to it! 2)do i wait for ash rad fan and shroud set-up which may take a while as i dont think rad are made yet and group buy! 3)screw on viscous and hope i dont need back up fan 4)leave it sat in corner! if option 1 why do most people fit koyo even though haste rad has better spec?? any sensible suggestions greatly recieved!! regards steven

looking for info? when i start the car cold and put it inot D it sits for delayed seconds then pops into gear and until it is heat up then its like a car with the clutch slipping? checked the box oil and it does look thin - any ideas or when i change the oil what really should be used?

should i sell and get a golf vr6?? or am i being stupid dont think i can justify spending £65 a week on fuel alone and the longer i own it the more chance i have of incurring a big bill. I was only doing 8 miles a day to work and back but now im up to around 60 and cant afford to drive the z as a daily drive. Would i hate a vr6?? Anyone ever owned one, or anyone think of a similar car i could go for?? cheers

my brakes soon. im a mechanic so know how to bleed stuff but im a truck mechanic so never had to bleed brakes yet as truck brakes are compressed air. i wanna no what sequence to do it in ie: o/s/f caliper an n/s/r caliper etc. im planning on changing all the fluid also where can i get a caliper rebuild kit as im doing that also. thanks in advance ;)

This Poor Zed ffs, Ive seen it a few times. so I took some pics on my phone this morning. It hasnt moved for months, hence the flat tyres. Instead the owner (who I havent seen) just leaves it parked outside his premises in Sheffield. Poor zed, The bodywork is in good condition, if you can look passed the shite thats all over it. :(

the lime circle is the problem area their is a pipe thats burst, is it an easy fix, its only water thats leaking can i drive it for a small period of time without belting it without water?

I know the speed sencer wire goes to the dash, but does anyone know if it goes to anything else before it gets to the ECU. That is between the dash and the EU.? Chris...
