Blue Z in Sunderland Sunday. At five O’clock Sunday (18/3/07) I was behind a blue Z reg K207 etc, I was in my orange Fiat Punto, I flashed you out at the Barns and then I turned off at Thornhill opposite the school.

I did'nt see it 1st hand, but spotted with 99spec rear spoiler and aftermarket wheels on Dunston Park estate in Thatcham, Berkshire

I've just placed an order with Autopia Car Care in the States (http://www.autopia-carcare.com) for the machine that I've been after for a while. It's called the Porter Cable 7424 :- So, basically this means I can now take my detailing hobby to the next level, and do full on paint correction and swirl removal. :hyper: Naturally, my Z will be the first to benefit from the treatment :D , but as it's white it won't actually show off the machines/my abilities as well as a darker colour. Im going to halfrauds tonight to pick some up for a change along with a filter. Last lot of oil I bunged in was castrol magnatec. I'm just wondering whether to put some fully synth in - bare in mind I dont thrash tits off the car, but boost is upped. Shall I just go for some 10/40 - I may go Castrol RS0?. (Also bear in mind I dont do winter driving in it :) ) P.S. I did search threads but there were that many out there stating different things I just wondered if anyone had any new comments. I mean I know any semi/fully will protect car and stop it going bang, just wanted some good stuff. I know expensive is not always the way to go. Cheers

I am going to unertake an engine rebuild at the end of the month and was looking into ways as to maximize the power output of my Zed. I will be going with the Total TwinTurbo Rebuild kit for AMZ perfromance with GT28R turbos instaed of the amz turbos. I will also be running a standalone engine managemet (haltech,microtech or DTA). 720cc injectors will also be in the mix as well as a water injection system since i live in the hot tropics. if funds permit i might go with a nismo crank as well (fingers crossed) I already purchased an HKS front mount intercooler with full hard pipes , evo7 recaros and R33 GTR brembo brakes..currently running a 3" custom exhaust whi…

Hello all, After my blowout on the front passenger side my HICAS light came on after I got the new tyre on. There is a slight veering to the left so will need to get the tracking sorted as soon as. But as this is my 2nd blowout in a month (tyres new on in December) on the passenger side (first Rear, 2nd front) I am starting to think there is a problem. Especially as I noticed slight wear on the inner side of the tyre 9full tread everywear else) My HICAS light had never shown up previously so not sure if this is even the cause. Yesterday we done over 500 miles round trip from North Yorks to Essex, Suffolk etc and did not see a single Z on the road are they really getting that rare :confused:

iv checked the fuses, iv changed the left switch pod, and iv checked to see if there was any power going to the blower. my voltometer did'nt pick up any thing. has any one got any ideas and what is the SUB FAN relay for, and is there a relay or a fuse for the blower motor? :confused: please help me im desperate :bow: :bow: :bow: cheers Nick

Can anybody please tell me where the conector's are that go from the wire that goes through the bulknhead/ inner wing (in photo) as i need to take the wire that goes through the front of the inner wing out so that the pannal can be repaird right in stead of bodging it up. thanks graeme

The solenoid things on the plenum to engine bracket on each side of the engine. Something to do with the old dump valves? Ones connected and one isnt, so im just going to dump them both and block up the relevant holes. Apart from that, the engine is 99% back together now, just waiting for some hose clips to turn up for the coolant pipes. One thing I noticed on the pass side turbo, the coolant pipe on the back of the engine. people put a little piece of pipe to a metal pipe, then another peice of pipe from that to the next metal pipe (if that makes sense) why not use just one peice(less joints)?????

Hello, have been looking around and all I seem to be able to find out about the ALC II (Automatic Line Controller) from HKS references the standard ECU. I have a Mines ECU, will this little device still work? (yes... my car is a auto tt) Does anyone know how this actually works, is it an advantage to have? Cheers.

Cheers to You UNO, no 1 for keeping the engine for me, and for providing nice cuppa tea, during the removal of the engine, for me and the lads. Basically ive now got UNO's engine, which due to the sad loss of his two tone zed, the engine will now have a new home in my zed. We started yesterday morning at just after 9.30am, a few cups of tea later, removal of the engine was completed by taking out the subframe and raising the body up. All the parts such as exhausts and gearbox are of the car. Total time from start to finish 2 hours 40 mins. Thanks mate, will pop over when running. Sussex Stu

dunno if anyones interested i had a spare couple of turbos from the Zed, so i knocked up a manifold and stuck them on the GTti, turns out from the compressor maps, its pretty much ideal. it should haul now :hyper:
