hi all you stereo people out there.. bear in mind all i know is how my system sounds not a techie at all. Well here goes I have a pioneer deh headunit with a 12 disc changer digi equaliser, 2 # 6.5" components with crossovers in the front , 2 # 6 x 4" jbl's in the rear and a 10" sub with 1000w amp in the boot. it sounds great however the jbl 6 x 4 in the rear are crappy..lol they seem to be trying to push more sound than they are able..and distort lots.. :mac1: the rest of the system sounds superb and am very happy with it, just need to sort this out.. any suggestions as to a different speaker and where i can get them from?? cheers people

i have just pulled back my door cards to look at the front speakers to see the condition and if they are std or have been upgraded at some point. I guess they have been as there are tweaters in the door cards and the speakers look like mids. They are installed on what looks like to be some ply that has been painted red to match the paintwork(!) Here is a pretty rubbish picture taken with my phone can anyone confirm for me if they are std or not? http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l34/tpv01/picture.jpg

Hi guys, just a quick hello from Australia..:) I lurk around here from time to time but my home forum is http://www.aus300zx.com... Anyway, I'm after some peoples views on a problem I am having, one that I think is linked to the EGR. Having read a few 300zx forums over the years, it seems quite common to remove the EGR when the engine is out. It cleans up the engine bay and avoids some nasty problems if its not working properley. However, this recommendation seems to always be for TT's, but being an NA owner myself I'm starting to believe that the EGR removal is not a wise move for the NA. I want some of you tech guys to tell me if i'm wrong or right. Now, my car…

rear tyre blow out today :headvswal got the space saver on, managed about 500m and that went bang. came off the rim. looked perfect when it went on  tyre fitter managed to get it back on rim, blew it up with air and sprayed water all around, loads of tiny bubbles appeared from everywhere. back it came off the rim, rim sanded around the edges and tyre edges smoothed. put it all back together and its held its air  Managed to limp to parents and dumped her there. there was a fair few mm on each rear so now both will have to get replaced. :(

I'll be the first to admit that I have pinched this from another forum that I use, but in this thread I hope to explain some good practices for washing a car that help in the prevention of inflicting swirl marks to paint. Whats Wrong With A Sponge? Millions of people wash their car using a sponge. But hardly any detailing fanatics wash their cars using a traditional sponge... Why is that? It all comes down to the flat face of the sponge: Imagine automotive paintwork with your typical dirt and grit particles stuck on the top of the paint, that you want to wash off to reveal your car's shine. Some of these dirt particles are sharp: Now, if you p…

Today I had to strip my back wheel on my tt, replacing the wheel studs but one thing I noticed, I found it hard to turn the back wheel with the handbrake off and in neutral, when It comes to turning it I have to use alot of pressure, I did think it was my auto box playing up but now im wondering if its my diff playing up? should the rear wheel be easy to turn or am I worrying about nothing? If anyone can give me some tips that would be great!!! Cheers!

Does any1 else hate the fact that their car has a high mileage? i know its mostly psychological and mileage is relative to how well the car has been looked after but theres always sumthing in the back of my head saying 'STOP throwing money at this car and buy a lower mileage one'! just thought id see if any1 else shared my concerns :)
