so many good/decent example selling for well less than 3k on ebay and here, its a real shame as they are a future classic the market seems to be very strange as the prices range from 2k to 6k in autotrader where some of the cheaper one are just as good as the dearer ones

ok gents this is for the techies  right then my uk auto zed has a new engine fitted but it is a manual engine, im still using the same ecu with a dixons chip, nothing wild :smash: i have just read this & it got me thinking  "Aside from minor changes in the ECU, the cam profiles & turbos are also different between the M/T & A/T models. The A/T has 240 degree intake cams & 248 degree exhaust cams (the M/T has 248 degree cams for both intake & exhaust). Also, the A/T uses smaller turbos for more responsive low speed acceleration (the A/R ratio is 0.63 for the M/T & only 0.54 for the A/T). Even with 20HP less, t…

I'm in the "will I or won't I sell it" stage which im sure a lot of you have gone through. Main reason is business has been quiet since january and it's putting a strain on the finances bigtime. I guess it will work itself out later in the year but for now my family come first. But jesus I LOVE this car so much it would be heartbreaking to sell it. On one hand i'm telling myself it's an un-necessary luxury, on the other I remember all the time and hard work i've put into it not to mention the money i've spent (when I wasn't self employed!) which i will never get back. What the hell do I do???????? mothball it? Go through weeks of tyre kicking by people in baseball caps …

Hi all, :) Have recently put my BOV's onto the inner hard pipes, (which were fabricated by DTA) , and was wanting 2 know wot vac lines r best to use? As in which ones, wot diameter is best if it makes any diff? Ive currently blanked off the orginal re-cir pipes and vac line's and am using Greddy BOV's if this helps. Cheers, Andy.

  17. I would like to know what setting would be ideal for the above rear shocks as I have them set on 3 at the moment and when you go over a speed bump the back seems to bounce a bit more than it should?? Cheers. p.s they go from 1-5.

I was trying to figure out why I had a code 13 and noticed that the wires that go into the plug aint even in the plug itself but just hanging loose. So I cut back the covers and was going to put them back in but errmmm... which ones goes in which? I noticed that the plug has a label, 1 and 2. But which of the two, yellow/green wire and black wire goes where!? If anyone can help that'll be great!

Having had a Mini Cooper S since November I now find that my Zed feels a little bouncy and wish to stiffen her up a bit. Have purchased some new rear shocks but as I have to fit them I may as well upgrade the springs. Have seen a few advertised (Eibach/tein) but can't make up my mind what to go for. Not keen on lowering her too much so any suggestions welcome.
