how much do you think i would be looking at to strip chrome off and high polish my wheels ??

There's an amp in the boot for the 6x4's, is the + terminal able to cope with my Sub Amp??? Will be running 2 12" and a single amp??? If not, where is there a hole in the bulk head to run my + from the engine bay???

Having had a Mini Cooper S since November I now find that my Zed feels a little bouncy and wish to stiffen her up a bit. Have purchased some new rear shocks but as I have to fit them I may as well upgrade the springs. Have seen a few advertised (Eibach/tein) but can't make up my mind what to go for. Not keen on lowering her too much so any suggestions welcome.

Hi peeps, Over the last two weeks my Zed's idle has been way to high. It's a auto and while in drive it idles at 1100rpm, and when in park 1500rpm. It is a prick to start as the idle hunts from 500-1500rpm before settling at 1000rpm. I have swapped the IAA over (as I had a spare) with no change at all. My question is, could a bad electrical connection to the IACV cause these symptoms? The unit itself was given a overhaul and clean when i had the plenum off a few months back. Any help would best most appreciated, as I have a long road trip this Friday :shock:

Hi, i have this rather annoying hissing noise from my clutch, i have searched on the forums and it seems to be the clutch actuator and i am planning on disconnecting it for the time . Whereabouts would i block the vacuum pipe ? Thanks John

And took the car out for a good run. Sod this, 'Cleaned my car all day' lark, "Get out and drive it!" First time since the manual conversion, exhaust, etc, Upgrade. And WOW!! What a difference!! Totally different car!! Really pleased with it, only complaint I have, is possibly the exhaust is too loud, and might do my head in if I have to do a distance drive in it!!

Having trouble with a kenwood head unit, i'm putting in the H/U and its just not working. Tried switching the yellow and red wires but still nothing. Im baffled. Anyone know what i'm doing wrong???? Thanks

Very nice looking silver Zed with 99 spec rear lights and an aftermarket spolier also seemed to have deep dish alloys. Seen about 12.50pm N300TT

As title was black seen on the 2nd march at 12.10 LWB looked like it had silver/black BBS alloys and had something red hanging from rear view mirror. N300TT

I still can't decide on a colour for my car. I have spent several weeks thinking, in and out of the paint shop looking at swatches :headvswal So I thought I would post this poll, for your opinions and hopefully you will help me decide. I took my missus for a meal the other night, 20miles out of town and after spending 2 hours in the restaurant we where returning to the car and I spotted a big puddle of blue/green fluid under the drivers side front. I shat myself and started looking around the engine bay for obvious signs of a leak but could not find anything - I could hear a rumble of bubbles in and around the radiator and a 2second drip coming from under the car but still nothing obvious.. When I looked in the radiator I could still see the coolant albeit about an inch and a half lower than it should be so I took a chance and got the car home ok. It appears the leak only occurs after the engine is stop…

:dance: I’ve been talking about buying a Z for years, finally purchased myself a tatty Z back in January. Had to fit a new heater matrix and give it a clean. It sat on my drive waiting for my insurance to expire on my old car. Last Thursday I sent it up for an MOT, failed first time round for hole in the exhaust and no horn. After a bit of welding and a new set of horns, it passed. The car is still tatty, but my god it’s fun to drive! Hopefully over the next year I will be tidying the car up, but still enjoying it as a daily ride. Very rare to see these cars around, it certainly turns heads. When time allows I will try to attend some of the meets.

Does anyone know what the size and thread type is for the hexagon screw/bolt which hold the throttle bodies on?. Looking for some stainless steel ones for the rebuild. Thanks in advance. Barry

Left my Z the other side of town as it just cut out on me and failed to restart. Initially for the past few months, occasionally on warm start up, it'll missfire/pop once or twice before it clears. Today, the revs started fluctuating a little bit before the engine died in traffic. Managed to get it restarted and at quite high revs managed to get it off the road. Tried restarting it and the engine just turned over. Occasionally a slight flutter and nothing. Eventually it restarted for a few seconds then died again. So, I've walked home and left it to cool down for an hour before I attempt to get it restarted and back home again. Does this sound like a P…
