The car's been running very roughly and idles been up and down when it's cold then seems to clear up once its warmed up and been run round. There's also a slight whining from the left hand side of the car (where i found this) Was fishing round the engine bay for possible causes and found this: First question, would the leak on this cause a poor/variable idle? Second question, where the heck can i get a replacement made up?

I have just found a split PCV pipe on my, oh joy the summer weather is here, lets get the roof off machine! I was wondering if this situation could cause the car to smoke on idle? (in the same way a defective PCV valve would) cheers me old mukkas, Joel :)

Never had this done properly before Ive been qouted £225 for all windows of the Zed excluding the windscreen. Any ideas if this is a good price? Aprently its 3 ply metalised tint and not some dodgy dyed films ?

I am just about to book an advanced driver instruction course and want to clear something up. There will be a lesson in power sliding - oversteer. Is this the same technique as drifting, because I was under the impression that drifting was really bad for the auto gearbox and don't want to fook my car for the sake of learning a few skills! Any advice on power sliding autos will be greatly appreciated, and if anyone has had bad experiences with it, let me know.

Ok straight to it, if you stand in front of the zed with the bonnet open. in the top metal water pipe that goes into the engine in the centre there are 2 senders in the top of this pipe. The smaller black one what is it for? it appears to have a spade connection coming off the top and this is broken have managed to wedge it in place but it is in danger of snapping all the way through. Has anyone got one of these they could get to me as soon as possible (in post for tomorrow or if local can collect.) or is it a part i can get from a local car spares place and if so what is it and what is the thread.. no its not next door's cat! :rolleyes: only happens on occasion, and when the weathers especially cold. after about a minute of driving, i get a constant whirring/whining noise from under the car, difficult to pinpoint from where exactly, at first it sounds like the rear wheels, but im sure its a little closer in. only happens when in gear and under accelleration. after about 30 seconds, the noise will go away. there isnt anything else noticable, like juddering etc., just the noise. any suggestions?

I've recently had a complete health check on my 95 Zed TT auto. It came back with a clear bill of health, apart from 1 tiny detail. I was informed that when cold there is high pitch sound coming from the engine bay. The guy who did the health check advised that this isn't anything to worry about as more robust pistons where put into the engines for this year. He seemed to remember that this was normal on the VG30DETT engine for my model. Can this be verified, else I'm likely to need a rebuild, and after just having bought the car don't really want to spend another 2K before I actually start enjoying it. Hi I have searched the forums but cannot find any information. I have been speaking with zed world and they suggested that i chip my car and increase the boost to 13.5psi for £300 - 70bhp. The problem i have - I have a mint standard car done 60k and do not want problems - would like the extra power but concerned about the above - has anyone else had it done, any experiences? is it worth it? I do not drive the car hard much at all as enjoy just driving it, so it runs full boost infrequently. Grateful of any advice/experience Cheers Mat

bit of a stupid question really but i was checking my radiator water today and it smelt like metal. have i got any thing to worry about or is it just that the radiator is 17 years old and a bit rusty inside? cheers Nick

Hi all, I know i could search this answer but am feeling lazy :) and it's just to confirm what i'm thinking. Car recently running bit lumpy and rough.No vac leaks.Thought it was time to clean throttle bodies. Did so last week and problem solved. :) However - yesterday (bout 4 days after cleaning) tickover uneven again also struggling for power unless throttle floored. Sprayed carb cleaner into T/B's again and now running smooth again but with high tickover, about 1000rpm. Also with datascan connected adjust base timing button is not reducing idle speed. Am guessing that all the crap from T/B's is now in iaa valve. (didn't clean it 1st time …

Ive removed the mesh so will either have to mount these to the bumper (will be 4 of them inc sidelights) or look at other options. hi guys I am planning to fit KYB AGX shocks, eibach springs, harvs camber correction kit and whiteline anti roll bars... only thing is that I have read various reviews from the internet that the KYB AGX' lose their adjustability over time/become softer over time, has anyone experienced that or any other reliability issues with kyb agx shocks?
