Wonder if anyone can help. My drivers side window has stopped operating, although strangely after a week or so, it started again, but only for a couple of days, however it would go down smoothly, but would make a horrible noise on the way up, and stick unless i manually pushed the glass in which case it would move up. now totally dead. do you think it is the motor, and if so after removing the door card, how do i get to it to replace it. I did notice that the switch wiring goes into a small black box, which clicks when the switch is depressed. any advice would be greatly appreciated..Garry

have heard a few say a dry solder joint is often the problem

so maybe worth checking

IF the motor is gone ask a couple of the traders m8 im sure they will have one

The black box is the windor regulator, if its clicking then thats ok and fault would point to the motor. 2nd hand motors readily available.
