I am getting a strange creaking / knocking noise coming from what sounds like the front right of the car when I turn hard right. I previous FWD I have owned that I a deffinete right CV joint problem but I tried to have a look around my wheel last night and I could see (or feel) a cv boot. Do zed’s or any RWD cars have cv joints on the front or just a free bearing? What could my problem be if it is not that? Is there a rear cv joint or something similar with the HICAS?

I want to keep the oil pressure gauge working on the dials but I have another pressure gauge. What’s the best way to do this? do I need to use a adaptor that will hold two senders? If so what size is the thread on the oil filter? Thanks

Just wondering whose engine this is? Im looking at the top of the engine and i see this cover that looks pretty dam hot and was wondering where you got this? I havent seen this in the states or in Japan and was wondering if i can buy this from someone looks hot all poished out like that!

my mechanic is on holiday for some time and i want the problem fixed asap anyone wanting to sort my engine rattle, engine wont need to come out, apparantly a tappet needs changed and mabye a coil pack (i have a coil pack) will pay what i'd expect to pay at a garage, just need it done tbh will pay for travel expenses too if coming from a distance

went to motorscope in northallerton this afternoon, never saw a single z ! however a very smart looking skyline flashed and waved, bright yellow think it was a r32 would have been about 1.30 ish on the a1237 from york to thirsk. no idea if its anyone from here as i attempted to flash back but was too busy reading my directions when i realised what was going on :)

when driving just going around a traffic island my rear tyres squeel and sometimes just going over a bump makes a small squeel hicas has been eliminated what do you guys think there 10" wheels 275/35/18 i do have spacers in and the tryes seem to be wearing fast aswell ???

I am having one of those days with my Auto Lol :cool: I am so close to really taking it all out and dumping it :wack: I keep getting this damn problem Pulling off at junctions ??(had this since Dec and still not sorted Lol) It doe's not pull in first gear if i have stopped briefly!! It always starts from 2nd unless i have been parked/sat for about 30 minutes and then it operates fine from first :rolleyes: It refuses to kick down from 2nd to first! 3rd to second is fine! so is o/d to 3rd! Hi peeps, looking for a bit of advise..I have had my zed stored up being restored etc for nearly 3 years ( dedication for ya lol ) I have started it once or twice in that time. What I was told to do was disconnect the fuse for the fuel pump and turn the engine over for a few secs to start circulating oil etc... I did that and started the car properly and all I got was me Zed running very rich - have replaced exhaust , filters etc etc - and basically ran like a dog - on idle - before dieing.. I take it the car just needs a very good long run for the ecu to relearn properties etc? Thanks Mark

when the car is stopped, even in D or N or P theirs a pulsing, like its shaking/judderring, it goes away when its revved or driven any idea what this could be

Hi guys, i know its not a good idea to jet wash the engine bay, but mine is so filthy it spoils the rest of the car. Do you think its safe to get some gunk either spray or brush on and just rinse it off with a hose pipe with no pressure. thanks

afternoon peeps, hope you are well - Took my Zed in for an mot this morning - passed on everything but excessive tyre wear on all 4 tyres :( hole in my pocket time. Looking at it, the camber on the front wheels are bad with excessive wear on the inside of the tyre, the rears are ok. im guessing the owner before me noticed the problem, and put the partially worn tyres on the back, and then purchased new ones for the front for it to pass its last MOT. usually, with cars with a slight camber problem, adjusting the tracking a bit can remedy the problem or reduce the effects. personally, i dont see this will happen on the zed - i can see the camber is out with t…

I'v just changed the ptu, and the dam thing still aint running right. Starts ok then sits at idle and then engine just dies... Ignition lights on.. Starts again... Runs on idle.. Then dies again. PCV valves? Or just a service? Both... :wack:
