keep seeing 2 zeds near southampton uni a silver 2+2 and a dark blue 2+2 with a lady driving - the other day i spotted both within 10 seconds of each other !!!!!!

One white with round rear lights, nice alloys and one Maroon??? Anyone from here??

Hi there. Recently I purchased a 1988 300 ZX in bad condition and trying to get it together. My problems is my brakelights will not go out. I have to disconnect the battery. I try the tail/stop sensor in the back where the tail and stop lights are, no help. I unplug the rear tail/stop lights and the brake light in window want go house. I got a limited knowledge on trouble shooting and I have tried about everything. Please help. You guy got a good web site. Thanks to all. itisrupert3@msn.com USA

gents i have a conzult program on the laptop & i need to know what type of lead i need to connect to the diagnostoc port on the zed i know its RS232 to the pc but is out diagnostic port 9 pin or 14pin?? the interface i have seen is of the 14pin type will that fit my diagnostic plug?? cheers dewi

Just bought a 1991 twin turbo. drove it off the lot, picked up my g/f 20mins later the think was smoking CLOUDS OF Smoke Looks like Blue/White more blue. took it back to him and he said it said for a few months. So he paid to get 20/50 oil in it. Im like UMMM OK. anyways its Still Smoking i hit 30mph and i can Smoke out about 4blocks of cars. There was small amounts of oil in the turbos enough to concern me. Any ideas? its been almost a week. I need to act fast as i dont wanna get stuck with a peice of shit

hi guys quick question, I have just spoken to a guy called Julian at Garage-D who reckons i'll get similar/better braking performance from using the standard nissan 300zx calipers with r34 discs (with brackets on the calipers of course); apparently the nissan caliper is better engineered than the brembo? is this true? darren

Hello i have a jspec TT and i have noticed the N/a rear anti roll bar is Exactly the same Diameter as my TT Rear anti roll bar?? I thought TT ones were thicker or is this just Uk spec TT's?? I have seen two Jspec TT's now! Both with only 1 inch thick rear anti roll bars (same as n/a) Why is this? :rolleyes:

took my car to a garage and he says it sounds like a one or 2 hydrolic tappets is cauing the noise are they easy to fix and is it likely to be that as im gettin the rattling noise at all revs and gets worse higher the revs

Recently bought a greddy oil sandwich plate to hook up the autogauge oil gauges ive bought but the senders and mounting holes on the plate are a different threading? Am I missing something like an adaptor or should I just get a different plate? Pete

Well after posting on "shall i fit the plastic cover back onto the dials" I tried to clean the scratches up but..... now it's terrible it's like a mist and barely see through it. help..... I used a very fine wet and dry.

Is this a job I can do on the drive or is it a ramp job, I'm guessing its a ramp job but I don't have one so how hard is it on the ground. Cheers, Scrawni.

i handed my Z to ZWorX for a PCV swap and compression test (been getting blue smoke more and more recently :( ) and the results came back ranging from 120 to 140 although i dont know which cylinders are which. ive driven her for about 60 miles since the PCV swap and the smoking problem is all but gone (from two 30-mile long journeys i only got one puff of blue smoke near the end of each under decelleration whereas it used to be on and off nearly all the time, idle, acc. dec. you name it) but im not breathing a sigh of relief at all yet. car's done about 90,000 miles. can i block the pipes that used to go into the stock exhaust. i've fitted decats and pulled off the rubber hoses that used to be connected but the metal pipes are still sitting out, is it ok to just bung these? what are they for, from?
