I just bought another Z! :wack: (well the wife has!) Don't blame me,was the wifes idea! and I do as I'm told :rolleyes: This does'nt mean we changed our minds about the move, I need something to 'tinker' with and she misses her shorty and how the house sale is going,we could be here another year! :smash: Waiting for the abuse! those thinking of fitting a cooler in time for the summer to save the auto then do it!!!!!!!! done mine this week and not only is it helping the box its dropped my water temp down by 5-10 degrees centigrade by not going via the rad cooler :)

Evening all, Have just taken off and cleaned IAV. After refitting used Datascan to reset idle. I set the base idle to 600ish but when switching back to normal settings idle jumped to about 850. This seems a bit high to me but didn't want to take base idle any lower. Have used search but there seems to be conflicting views. Is 850 too high. car runs well now so shall i just leave it alone. :) Have cleaned t/b's and all connecters. dont think there are any vacs leaks. Any advice appreciated cheers

hey up Guys First off all I´d like to thank you all for your help in the past few months ,I even managed to sort the temp gauge problem eventually, although i have no idea how, just worked again after being dismantled and reassembled for the 10th time :) New "problem" , although it´s not really a "problem" just a minor thing ...when I have to brake hard ( Germany with no speed limits on the motorway *grin*) water sprays out from the left windscreen wiper fluid jet thingy, anyone got any ideas ..other than avoid braking hard ? cheers Maz

as above, whats the best set up i can use keeping standard size, i wanted smithys big brake kit but due to the design of my wheels i cant use bigger brakes unless i change the rims which i cant afford at the minute, so what discs with what pads do you lot recommend and where can i get em from? :D need em asap

Is it possible that a set of 19 anteras from a 350z will fit my TT properly? the guy selling them does not know the offset, rears are fitted with 275/35 fronts are 245/35 will I have any probs? many thanks for any help.

I bought a new battery for me zed and had it sitting in the passenger side foot well until today when i was going to put it on the car. Anyway mate got in last night and had moved the battery on to its side. Now its leaked all over my origional shag pile carpets, and whats worse its like a black tar that they are now covered in. And now ive realised that i can't even get the other battery off because i don't have the correct size spanner FFS dam it!

Hi all, Last weekend (Sunday) I decided to take the Z of for a blat down the south coast to enjoy the lovely weather we were having.... but before I left Thanet I went down to Ramsgate Harbour for some refreshment & to my amazement I saw three other Z's parked up outside the "Rokka Bar" !!! one Yellow, one Met Blue (Nismo tail piece lights & crackin wheels!!) & one Red - what a fantastic sight. Are you local to Thanet ? Just curious if you three are Forum members & up for joining in on one or two of these meetings that are organised on here.... Anyone know of any decent comppanies in the Midlands who repair or replace tubs, how much should we be looking at to: a: refurbish standard tubs b: refurb with better spec ie ball bearing, really just looking for a better more reliable tub than stock, not raising boost too much keeping this car pretty standard engine wise it will be used most days. An idea on prices to look for and spec to go for would be good, have been stung before and dont want a repeat performance plus think its best to get both tubs refurbed while im at it.

Anyone had this experience before? just had a manual gearbox fully rebuilt with a complete set of new bearings but now it sounds noisy as if the input shaft bearing are gone... ie when you depress the clutch it sounds so quiet but once the clutch comes up it makes a worn bearing sound :( Not happy as it cost £££'s and not to mention the labour cost to take it out and put back in!!

you guys.. i'm not sure if my z has the stage 3 upgrade. i bought it a couple months ago. it is hitting 14psi, but it doesn't really feel like it's there. i raced a stock camaro ss the other day and won but he was right on my ass, in so... my car doesn't have as much power as i thought. any ideas of how i would find out? besides dyno, before i cough up 700 for a new computer.

I have read before a few years ago! That UK spec TT 300zx's were fitted with 4.03 ratio Final drives with coolers and Jspec TT's had 3.69 ratio final drives and no oil cooler. Hence i am to believe you can still change the ratio on you jspec TT with out swapping subframes/hubs/propshafts with N/A ect just by finding a UK spec TT final drive with a 4.03 ratio? Can anyone confirm this? :confused:

well i finally took my zed for its mot and being the 1st one since ive owned the car i was lets say a bit nervous i neednt have worried as it failed on a headlight bulb and both steering gaitors...............,IM BUZZING so it should be all legal again by monday phew clean pants again for another year lol

i have read that a twin turbo comes out the factory w/ 9psi. now i read someone saying it comes w/ 14psi. which is it?

There has been some road works on my way to work just as you come into a 40 mph area near the Village of Machwiel. Anyway on my way home i come bowelling through the twistys at about 80mph (on my private stretch of road) and round the corner only to discover that the roadworks have moved to about 80m from the bend as opposed to 500m. No sign warning roadworks iminent. Just a line of stationary traffic fortunately for me there was nothing coming the otherway due to the roadworks time delayed traffic lights. I managed th come to a sceaching holt about 4 cars down from the end. It took an hour to sloose my underware out.
