General Discussions - 300ZX Related

Just about to go through the painful process of getting the Zed's body looking perfect when I remembered that I need to find out about this stuff. My car is a '94 N/A imported in November 06 and there is a sticker in the rear side window for Polymer Sheik. I have looked it up on that there interwebnet and it's obviously some sort of body protection, but my Japanese is none too clever, so can only actually decipher the "polymer sheik" bit! :( Any one know anything about it, whether it's safe to use 3M hand glaze on it to get the colour back (it's black) or else (real long shot here....!) read japanese :shock: so you can translate for me :bow:

Specifically the back 2 by the balance bar - I've got the other 4 off and I want to replace or at least clean these last 2 up as they have poor connections which I think may be causing a misfire..... does anyone have any tips on how to do them as the metal clip is facing away from me and I cant easily pry the clip out.... also - I've come across this website that looks like they stock injector connectors - can anyone verify from the pictures if they are a match or will fit with any modifications as they are very well priced..... http://www.vehicle-wiring-products.co.uk/VWPweb2000/connectors/photo/4145.jpg or if this one fits as its a bit larger but has…

I am fitting 3 gauges to a pillar pod and was wondering rather than making one engine coolant, plumb it into the auto box. Anyone done this? Cheers John Crisp

just an idea but what about a big meet where people bring something to auction for charity ( ie id bring a zed steering wheel ) just thought it might be fun and raise awareness for the club as well as doing something worthwhile for charity mmmmmmmmmm can you feel the love like i said just a thought

Hi all. Wondering if anyone has any diagrams/photos of the fuel delivery system. I get a strong smell of petrol in the cockpit when the windows are down. I've checked the exhaust side of things and there dosen't seem to be a leak. Help, there's only so many Magic tree's that I can hang off of my rear view mirror. :(

on way to work this morning, giving it a bit of throttle weird sound plus immediate loss of power like a heavy hiss, when i pulled over bonnet open revving engine it appears to be from top of engine, sounds like air being forced out and something snapping shut , weird, the only thing ive had done lately new cambelt 2 months ago , 300tt auto import 1990 had it 7 years great fun, any ideas guys , thanks

Hello all, Can anyone tell me if there is a test to check if the air con needs re-gasing apart from switching it on! I used mine about a month ago and was cold but I used it the other day and now its hot, I am wondering if theres a fault or not?? When it comes to using the air con (as i dont have a manual) to switch it on I presume you press auto then set temp to 10c and then should come on same as the heating?, I know this sound stupid and thick but I do wonder if I am doing it right!! :wack: Cheers all!!! :cool:

Wipers??? Reason being That I have wipers that don't switch off. Have repleced Grey Relay unit and an other motor. Also my fan Direction is Fubar too as it will onlt blow at the face. Any attempt to change dirrection results in clicking and nothing else. I think its the splines on the motor and have ordered a replacement, but seeing the diagram thought i ought to ask the questions.

Am I right in thinking the colder the air taken in by the air filter the better the engine performs or have i got it wrong.....as usual??

help!!! just got my new zx home from the salvage yard the body is A! but some plank took the plug leads plugs and balance bar off, it will turn over with a socket on the bottom pully but if you try to use the starter it fails to turn at all. the reason for it being in the salvage yard was that it had stalled after driving into a large puddle and indurance company would not pay for investigation into engine prob, I know I will have to rebuild the engine but can anyone point me in the right direction as to why it will not turn over. I am used to japars as I have 2 more on the drive and have the expertise to rebuilt this car but just need to know I'm not missing somethin…

Hi Guys, I get a knocking on the passenger side front and rear when i go over a pot hole (too many in London), i have replaced all the shocks and lowered springs only 6 months ago. I have had the car up on the ramp and cant see any obvious issues ? Any advise greatly appriciated. thanks
